Fantastic local butcher. Enjoyed a few different varieties of their brats and will most definitely be coming back for more.

My wife and I just left. Picked up some Dino ribs to smoke for the 4th. the young man who helped us educated us on Dino, Beef back and Beef short. Very interesting depending on how much you can handle (eating wise). The didn't have as many as we needed on display but he told us it wouldn't be long and they would have the other Dino out. He even answered question about other cuts of meat. Very nice people who really seem to enjoy what they do. Nice friendly people to chat to while you decide, chatted it up with a customer about smoking on our pellet grills. The cuts look so much better than grocery store. I believe we're done with the grocery chains when it comes to meat! Thanks for all you all do! read more

I love the XL bones they sell for dogs. My mastiff enjoys them. His happiness makes me happy. read more

This fairly new butcher shop is very clean. The meat is very appealing and fresh in the case. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this butcher shop I purchased a Tomahawk Ribeye on Wednesday for Mom's Birthday dinner. I reverse seared it tonight and it was phenomenal. Gilbert Butchery Rocks !!! read more

Good atmosphere. Very helpful and knowledgeable workers. Meat was very fresh. Will definitely come back when needing more selective items.

The store set up very nicely, and it smells really good in there. It was only my second time in and I'm still newer at smoking different types of meat. I asked the employee what he recommended, and what type of meats in his opinion are best to smoke, and he just kept saying I don't know. I feel for a butcher. They should have some answers for that so I felt like he was trying to get me out the door. read more

Prices seemed typical for a butcher shop. The man who helped me was very friendly and willing to answer all my questions. They had a lot of seasoning options they were selling retail and I really liked the fact that they even had bottles labeled for sampling. Nice touch because there was a lot of them and it would have been hard to choose otherwise. I know they say the bone adds the most flavor to a meat, but I was feeling kinda lazy, as I didn't want to cut bone off my steak that night, so I got 2 of the boneless ribeyes. Took them home, let them settle to room temp, and cooked them on a cast iron skillet with butter, rosemary, garlic, salt, and pepper. I continuously ladled the butter onto the steaks while cooking... a technique I learned from Gordon Ramsey himself. Ok, ok, So I watched him do it on Hell's Kitchen, but whatever, same thing!! Anyway, I served them with bacon wrapped jalapeño and smokie peppers. Can I just say... this was the BEST steak I ever cooked!!! I cooked one to medium and the other to medium rare. The meat was so tender and flavorful! My husband was also impressed. You guys... I even ate most of the fat that was seasoned! That's how good it was. I feel like I'm never going to be able to buy regular meat, at the grocery store, ever again because it just can't live up to this place! Oh vey! What have I done??! Anyway, if you're celebrating something special or just wanna splurge on some good meat, beware, because of you go to this place, beef will never taste the same to you again! read more

Oh my gosh I can't say enough. We ordered a brisket for a family event a few months ago, my husband went in and talked to the owners (husband and wife). They were so kind, great to work with, and efficient. We ended up having to cancel our family event, but my husband wanted to ensure we kept our order being that they were a new company. We were NOT disappointed. The best cut, best service and I cannot recommend them enough. We used to only have Midwestern Meats as an option, and I am so happy Gilbert Butchery opened just a block from our home. THANK YOU for Choosing Gilbert :) read more

One of the friendliest, smoothest experiences I've had at a butcher - and the day before thanksgiving no less! There was a line out the door, but I was in and out within 10 minutes! Brought home a great prime rib and turkey giblets for turkey gravy as well. read more

Wow, Looking for dino bones and Eureka I have found them. Great place and the awesome whole cane sugar sodas even Coke. Great prices and great meat. Top of Choice Meat by far. They will be seeing us a lot. read more

I was planning on making the infamous Gordon Ramsey sticky ribs for a dinner party, and I stopped in for apparently the best butchery on the east side. What I got was EXCELLENT service. Big shout out goes to Aaron who helped me out with what I needed to make my entree the best it could be. He went out of his way to listen to the You Tube video of Gordon Ramsey doing his thing, and provided his best recommendation on the different kinds of pork they had. The meal came out perfect, and it was all because of Aaron. You don't get this type of service at the meat counter at Frys. lol read more

Great butcher shop but they don't enforce their own mask policy. Went there this morning and one man was just standing around "waiting for a friend" inside the shop without a mask on. I wanted to browse but didn't feel comfortable so I left. If you are concerned about your health I would recommend going elsewhere for your meat. read more

This place is awesome!!! Thanks for being clean and knowledgeable, two attributes you must have for my review!

I've been looking for a local butcher my entire adult life in AZ. I loved them in Germany and always wished we had them here. I recently moved to the East valley and found this place and I'm obsessed. I'll be buying all my meat from this place for now on as well as my salsa. Cooking up one of their prime ribeyes as I write this about 3 glasses of wine deep. read more

Really, really good meats. Great help staff. Always clean and inviting store. What more can you say about a butcher shop

We love Gilbert Butchery! Beef tips melt your mouth-the best meat I've ever tasted. It is small, but so clean and super helpful staff.

First time customer went in to get a pork belly - top notch quality! Friendly staff. I really like the selection of meats - they even had a Picanha!! read more

First time to Gilbert Butchery today. Just moved to the area and saw some folks on Facebook saying it was great. I was in need of some meat for cinco de mayo and just restocking. Dang did I go to the right spot! Beautiful set up, the had all meats, some seafood, and items from the local farmers market. What?! Yes! Locals supporting locals. Love it. We were able to also get our pups some treats. Win!! Due to the current pandemic of Covid-19, I couldn't linger and look or chat with them, as there was a line outside and in. I will be back though!! read more

Small spot that can get crowded at times. The meat we bought was quality and tasty. Service was adequate but nothing special.

Delicious meat and THE BEST all beef hot dog you've ever had in your life! We LOVE this place. Great sides too!

Always great place to get meat. Staff is always super helpful and nice! We always buy sliced rib eye and it's cut perfect!

I came in awhile ago for some brats and they were fabulous! Juicy and flavorful. Support this local business! I'll definitely be back.

Yep. This place is seriously awesome. Have all the different cuts of meat and even offer pre seasoned as well. They always have a smile on their faces and can tell that they really love what they do. The quality of the meat is outstanding and the prices are extremely reasonable given the quality of the product (I expected it to be much more expensive, to be honest). Please do yourself a favor and go there. You won't regret it. read more

Great butcher shop. Awesome customer service, clean and large selection of premium meats!

Extremely rude management. Completely ignored me in the shop and when I finally got my meat and left, it was poor quality. Wouldn't suggest spending your time or money here. read more

I am so happy I found this butcher ! I hate buying my meat from grocery stores and this place has quality meat !! And I love that I can call my order in before I go there !! I live deep into QC but I'll drive to this place every wk or every other wk when I need to stock up !! read more

Friendly staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. Ever since we found GB, we have stopped buying meat anywhere else. My experience today sealed the deal on why we come here! With the new Mask policy in Gilbert, GB has done their part to post signage and encourage masks and distancing. But they also respect that there are people out there who still need to get food and fall within the exemption and can't wear a mask (yes legit reasons exist!!!). They do not shame you and they still give great service following all proper protocols. I even had another customer harass me about not wearing a mask and the young woman at the counter was completely apologetic even though a rogue person isn't her fault at all! Thank you Gilbert Butchery! read more
