It's been almost 3 months since my delivery, however I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Gila Aaron. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Aaron and her team. Although my pregnancy was a busy one and at times very turbulent, I felt as if I was being taken care of by my mom or even aunt. I was a new patient, she spoke little, asked limited questions and seemed uninterested. Then when I asked her a question relevant to my condition she did not answer me and gaslit me by responding as though I had asked a completely different question. This continued a few more times until I gave up and asked her no more questions. I would describe her manner as bizarre at a minimum. My pregnancy journey with Dr. Aaron began when I googled who is the best doctor for a multiple gestation pregnancy in NYC? Her name appeared. Previously, I had went to a different doctor for a pregnancy confirmation, and I had learned I was carrying twins. I'm in my mid 30s and I didn't know what challenges to expect during this pregnancy, but I wanted the best care for my unborn twins and I. I contacted Dr. Aaron's office, and I was scheduled for an 8-week pregnancy check-up. I was so impressed during my first visit with Dr. Aaron. She was extremely thorough with the exam and going through my husband and I personal and family medical history. We left her office feeling like I was in good hands. I definitely learned throughout the months that I was in great hands, and she was always a phone call away. If I had any problems I would call and usually she would pick up right away. If she didn't, her response time was always quick. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Aaron. She delivered my twins, and they were born full term and healthy, because of the excellent care, support and attention she provided. Dr Aaron has been my OBGYN for the last few years, and delivered my 2 children. Honestly I never understood the point of going back to the same doctor, until I came under the care of Dr Aaron. I initially switched to her practice when I was pregnant. Dr Aaron runs her own practice where she is the only doctor, and she delivers locally at Mount Sinai. Dr Aaron always addresses my questions/concerns, and never belittles my requests. Aside from stellar medical advice, she is also extremely level headed and professional. At my first birth, she was able to help me avoid a C section. At my second birth, I almost missed the window for an epidural and her calmness was very helpful in me not panicking. Dr Aaron cares for and makes time for all her patients. Her staff is also wonderful. I usually rarely wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment. I had a very difficult pregnancy, including hyperemesis, a stroke in my eye, a c section and horrific heartburn, and Doctor Aaron did a wonderful job taking care of me. I always felt safe that she would make sure I would be okay. She correctly sent me to the emergency room whenever I needed to go, she visited me in the hospital multiple times and she led/coordinated a large team of doctors to figure out what was going on when I suddenly lost my eyesight one day during pregnancy. She always responded when I called and accommodated my requests for early appointments before work. My c section was not painful at all and my recovery was seamless. Avoid her, find a caring doctor. Been going to her for years, I always thought of her as a cold doctor but didn't care as I was getting my exams done. During my last visit she charged me as an office visit when it was an annual visit just because she gave me a couple of referrals (based on what I told her, not because she examined me or anything) and I asked for an urine test which is extra (charged to my insurance). Very unhappy with the service after years, I know COVID hit everyone hard but we are all on the same boat, today I was taken advantage by a doctor who did not care about my health. I have been a patient of Dr. Aaron for several years. The office ALWAYS accommodates for last minute appointments if you have issues that concern you. Dr. Aaron recently performed a very delicate biopsy. She warned me it could be uncomfortable and possibly get infected. She performed it with such care and delicacy that neither happened. Dr. Aaron also received the results of the biopsy five days early and called me herself to deliver the good news. I am well into my sixties...so for those of you are concerned the office is only for those of child bearing years, it's for all of us. read more

My partner could not come to the appointments due to covid but she would let me facetime him for scans and if he had questions. She was always available for calls when I had questions. I found what other 1-star reviewers said very true. Dr. Aaron's bedside manner is very belittling, and she and her staff would rush you through your whole appointment. I saw Dr. Aaron twice only because of the schedule. To do an ultrasound, I was told to pay off the full amount at her office, and a few months later her office called me and emailed me accusing me that I owed them money for the ultrasound. I have been with Dr.Aaron for three years now. She helped me with my pregnancy journey. Her Covid protocols made me feel comfortable. I was fortunate enough to be able to bring my partner for scans starting 20 weeks. Dr. Aaron is super practical and straightforward in her approach and responses which worked out well for us. My pregnancy was considered high risk and she was always on top of it and ended up being on call for my induction as well. She supported my decision for a vaginal birth and gave her best to make that happen in a speedy manner with a healthy baby and mother in mind. I cannot recommend Dr. Aaron highly enough. Her office is intimate and she gives you thorough attention at each appointment. She always addresses your questions and concerns and doesn't seemed rushed (which is RARE). I will never forget Dr. Aaron's care while she delievered my first baby. Most OBs are so busy they rely on the nurses and don't even show up until the end. But I'll never forget how Dr. Aaron kept checking in by my side throughout labor and ultimately taking me in for a c section. Dr. Aaron is a decent doctor with acceptable bedside manners. However, her office is run very inefficiently and there's always more than 45 mins wait past your appointment time. I have visited her several times and each time paid in full .However, 4 months later I got 3 separate bills for $2.50, $8 and another random $20 and a threat that it'll go to collections agency. Dr. Aaron's office has a short wait time and it is easy to book appointments by calling the office or using ZocDoc. I have not had to wait weeks for an appointment, typically she has good availability. Dr Aaron is a great listener and she is open to women's decisions regarding their bodies, whether you want different types of birth control, you do not want children/want to explore sterilization, or you do want children. This is strangely not a norm on this setting. I would agree with other comments that bedside manner is not her strong suit, as I have been intimidated to ask questions or her response was not thorough to me. However, she is very available for questions you just have to ask them and not worry if the question seems stupid. read more

I have really enjoyed being a patient of Dr Aaron for the last several years. I have been going to her since I moved to New York and have always felt very comfortable with her. She is very calm and that's refreshing, especially when you feel nervous before an appointment or waiting for results. Being a first time mother-to-be, that's a must. I saw Dr. Aaron for the first part of my pregnancy before switching providers. At first, I didn't mind her lack of bedside manner and liked the small office, but after a few visits my husband and I were completely turned off. Her office would bill us before billing our insurance and then "credit" our account. We were constantly on the phone with their billing company. When we asked them to mail the bill so we could submit it to insurance first, they declined and said we had to pay for each visit right then and there. They also wanted us to pay the entire delivery fee up front at our 20 week appointment (to which we refused as we were switching providers after that appointment). It felt like a scam. She wouldn't look at our scans before coming into our room which was very frustrating to not get confirmation whether or not our anatomy scan looked OK. We also watched the nurses/ techs REUSE gloves to test patient's pee. Like they would take them off and leave them by the sink to reuse for the next pee cup test. Wouldn't you know there was always something wrong with my pee that was tested (wonder why - at my new OB my pee has always come back normal). That happened at more than one appointment, absolutely unsanitary. read more

I want to share my experience with the practice, as well as express my sincere gratitude and deepest appreciation to Dr Aaron. I started working with Dr Aaron when I was on 18th week of my pregnancy. Dr Aaron made sure I was up to date with all required tests/labs, provided answers to all of my questions (then and throughout the journey), educated me on my delivery options/test results, etc. I did choose to deliver via c-section and Dr Aaron did a wonderful job in OR (Mount Sinai West) by delivering our son with no complications, and left me with a very small scar. If you are looking for a doctor with outstanding professional ethics, good morals, experience, kindness and empathy, look no further.
