I went to her several years ago because I had a dermoid cyst on my right ovary. Before looking at the report or the scans that I brought in myself, she talked about a complete hysterectomy and bringing in an oncologist for staging. Luckily, I never went back. I am post-menopausal and I don't want to be treated like my reproductive organs are not important anymore. I went to another gynecologist who said that there was no need for surgery at that time. I waited several years and decided to get it surgically removed. No hysterectomy, no problem. Maybe this doctor should read scans first. I would like to give her no stars. read more

I feel like I have to say this. Dr. Ng is indeed very nice but it does not feel like she knows you, nor that she is actually looking out for you and your health especially if you are someone that only comes in on an annual basis for the GYN exam. I've been coming to Dr. Ngs office for maybe 3+ years now. Only for the annual exams. Ive always felt like when I am talking to her about my concerns or my health that her mind is elsewhere, likely on the tons of other patients she has. I've had irregular periods and extremely long menstrual cycles (36-46 days) for a year now amongst other concerns and it felt like she dismissed my concerns stating that sometimes women just have longer cycles, and that some women just have this or have that... I even tried to show on my app but it wasn't loading because their office is in some basement. It didn't seem like she was interested in the data. I get the sense that she doesn't have a good idea of what my history is. My old GYN (now retired which is why I had switched to Dr. Ng thinking she would be attentive and caring) had always done a full exam and even ultrasound and blood test sometimes to ensure that I was healthy. I felt comfortable telling her anything and never felt rushed. In the past, I've ended up in the hospital twice because of my severe period symptoms. That may be why my old doctor was always more concerned. That is not the case with Dr. Ng. Unless I am trying to conceive or am pregnant or have very apparent issues she does not seem concerned about my concerns nor interested in digging any deeper. But I do not want issues to be discovered only when I am trying to conceive; I feel a good doctor would look out for my reproductive health so that any issues can be prevented. That doesn't seem to be the case with her. read more

Dr Ng delivered my baby girl thru c-section and she did an amazing job. She has been warm and reassuring from the start of the procedure until I got out of the hospital. I only met her once during my prenatal visits and when I was told that she will be performing my surgery, I agreed just because I liked her during our first meeting, and I'm glad I did! She made me very comfortable and well taken cared of the whole time I was in the hospital. I lucked out for sure. 10/10 I am recommending her to everyone who asks for a good OBGYN. read more

I LOVE Dr. Ng! This office is beautiful, clean and was easy to make an appointment with. I wish my new insurance was taken by her, or I would go see her for every annual. She was very knowledgable and kind. Fantastic bedside manner. Her office was quick in getting my test results back and proactive with anything I needed. She gave me a year supply of birth control and at the end of my refills, she fulfilled a request for 3 more refills so I wouldn't have to go without before my next appointment with my new doctor. I am so glad I switched Doctors mid pregnancy. I only met with Dr. Ng once, but the whole vibe was nice. She was very nice & was on point with everything. Was very competent & that is what I am looking for. I read some reviews about feeling rushed, etc. I didn't experience that, even if I did that wouldn't override the trust I have in her. Meeting Dr. Ng has been the best thing that's happened to me during this pregnancy (other than the obvious of having my all-time dream of becoming a mother come true). She's been so patient and understanding with my first-time mom anxieties and concerns; I could not recommend her highly enough. She answers every question I ask, even if over email on the weekend, and no matter how ridiculous the question. There's never a horrible wait to see her and the staff at her practice are great; it's always a highlight to see their smiling faces behind the check-in counter (which is so not always the case at many dr's offices I've visited). read more

Excellent bedside manner, very attentive, however, if you are an older adult women with any issues, be extremely mindful. I had some issues that she attempted to resolve (excision of Lesion) in the office. No warning of what was happening, I left in a lot of pain, I then bled for 10 days straight. So in short, I left in more pain than I went in with. Will not be returning. Was asked to return to conduct surgery in a hospital, if I wanted. for 20 minutes of pain, my insurance was billed $670. However my daughter had an excellent experience with her. read more

The reception staff was helpful, kind, and speedy - No one was waiting in the waiting room when I arrived and I filled out the paperwork and was taken for my vitals within 5-10 minutes of arriving and shortly thereafter, went into the exam room. Dr. Ng was friendly, helpful and very professional. She answered all my questions, was knowledgeable and put me at ease. I just had my first GYN appointment (not currently pregnant) at Dr.Ng's office. I did not see Dr.Ng but instead saw her Nurse Practitioner -Elizabeth Traflet. What a gem!! Elizabeth was so easy to speak to, very knowledgeable on all questions I asked her and was also very receptive to my own feelings and thoughts on her recommendations. She kept normal and interesting conversation with me as she did my annual pap and she was actually pretty funny! She made my first appointment there so comforting and I'm looking forward to returning for my annual checkup. The office is SUPER clean and very organized and the young women up front are so friendly and helpful. After filling out my new patient paperwork, I didn't even have to wait five minutes before I was called in, I was so happy about that. Overall, a five star experience! Love this place! Words can not express how grateful I am to have found Dr. Ng. I saw all the positive Yelp reviews and made an appointment to see her. The office is immaculate and I had no wait time. I came to see Dr. Ng about a second opinion as I did not feel confident that another Dr I was seeing as the other Dr. did not even follow up with me after my test results were available. Dr. Ng took the time to explain my results and provide me with a plan of action. I'm happy to say that Dr. Ng performed surgery on me last Thursday. I felt completely relaxed before the surgery. Dr. Ng is awesome. I am a new patient of hers and I had very mysterious pains as well as a 5cm mass found by another doctor. No one could figure out what was going on. I found her on Zocdoc.com and she saw me immediately and helped me to figure everything out within a week. She was quick and efficient in ordering ultasounds and sonograms as well as MRI's. She contacted me with my results super quickly. I had an MRI at 8pm by 11am the next morning she called me with my results...even though her office was not open on that day. Her bed side manner is great. She was very nice and straight to the point. The wait time was not terrible ...like 15 minutes but it only took 5 minute wait before for her nurse called my name to take my vitals. read more

Dr. Ng accepted me as her patient in my third trimester (I had to switch doctors due to an unexpected, last minute change in insurance providers). She ensured I didn't have any complications first, but many doctors won't even consider new patients that far into their pregnancy. Professional and personal - Patty, and her partner, Dr. Lauren Elliston, as well as their staff and colleagues at Lenox Hill Hospital provided exceptional service with a friendly touch. Throughout my pregnancy Patty was only a phone call away - whether it be at two in the afternoon or two in the morning (when my water broke) she was always reachable. She understands the physical and emotional stress one goes through during the delivery and she, along with the wonderful nurse whose name I regretfully forget at Lenox Hill, were marvelous health care practitioners, teachers (I didn't take any childbirth classes) and motivational speakers as they coached me through the delivery and welcomed my first child into the world! I've been going to this office for the past almost 8 years. I love Dr. Ng and the ladies at the front desk in the past have been great. I recently became pregnant therefore my visits became more frequent. The first visit I had I noticed there is a receptionist at the front who is a bit rude and loud. If you're sitting and waiting, you literally know what all the patients are there for at the time, who has a copay, what prescription they need and if they question her on anything she's talks about them the minute they leave. There isn't any kind of discretionwith her! I've called a few times to ask question and she's in such a hurry to get me off the phone and barely let's me finish my question! I also kind of dislike the fact that I can't see my doctor for my visits - the same receptionist told me I have to see all the doctors and it will be too difficult to constantly only see Dr. Ng. Why is that the case now that I'm expecting? For every other visit I've only seen her! I have noticed inconsistencies in the information each doctor has given me and it makes me anxious to know who's giving me the correct information! Dr. Ng is exceptional! Having been referred by another respected physician, I was surprised to find that I liked Dr. Ng, but what did surprise me was how comfortable I was speaking with her. Although most OBGYN's seem to lean more toward the OB side of the business, she was well informed on issues of menopause and related issues. I entered my appointment just on time - that's rare and wonderful! Dr. Ng was the worst gynecologist I have ever visited. It appears that she has never seen a patient over the age of 40. 1. The routine exam was painful for the very first time in my life and left me bleeding for the rest of the day. 2. She was tactless and extremely insensitive mentioning that the body needed emergency rescueing from "totally drying up and becoming permanently unusable" ... then she asked me how many grandchildren I had after looking like condolences were being offered when the word "menopause" was mentioned. Her "medical" advice also included: no need for any calcium, and drinking more water to "clean out" female reproductive organs. I left wondering if she had ever been to medical school in this country or any other for that matter. She is missing some major cultural cues dealing with women over the age of 40 and is clearly very inexperienced with the full range of female patients. I DO NOT recommend her to anyone. read more
