Great food and customer service! The ambiance was very clean and welcoming as well. A friend who lives close told me about a good soul food spot in the area, so that's why I decided to try Gigi's.

The food was delicious. Mac & cheese with like your grandma made it! Only complaint was the cabbage was under seasoned but that's nothing ‍

It's a Bar with booths and tables, even set up for live music. All the food comes out in styrofoam, even plastic utensils so definitely nothing fancy. Food is just okay, I think better if having a few cocktails. Had the Catfish and fried okra. My husband had the pork chop, mac&cheese, sweet potato and Greens. Again, the food is just okay. Reasonably priced. This is all my personal opinion.

This location is The Man Cave. There is outdoor seating if you prefer fresh air. As we walked in we were greeted by Ms. Pat. She was very sweet and attentive. She informed us they have been there a year and invited us to come back for the New Years celebration. The interior is larger than it looks from the outside. There are booth seats that line the wall with maybe 30 small tables that have a chair. The booth seats are red with black tables/chairs. There is a small stage upfront possibly for the band or artist that sings. It's not large enough for a full band. There is another space for the hostess on the other side. The bar area is towards the rear where maybe 6 or 7 can sit. Ms. Pat took our order shortly after being seated. I ordered collards, yams, fried okra and 4 fried whole wings. You get a meat and 2 sides but I was being greedy! . My husband ordered dressing, smoked ribs, yams and cornbread. I enjoyed my lunch. The chicken wings were very small and that's how I like them. No one wants wings on steroids! Fried crispy and golden. Perfectly seasoned! The collards were delicious. Seasoned with smoked turkey. Okra was delicious fried just right. Crispy! The yams were not too sweet just right. My husband ordered the dressing bc Ms. Pat noted it was a favorite amongst the other guests. He wasn't too crazy about it but it was ok. The ribs were not seasoned enough. The sauce covered the meat so you were not able to really taste the "rib" but it was ok. He says he would not order again. The yams were perfect as I stated earlier. We were offered the Peach Cobbler but since we both had yams we declined the cobbler. Overall, we enjoyed it. Will come back and try other items on the menu. It is a very casual setting. If you want to dress up, go for it but the vibe is very casual. They are closed on Monday.

She expanded from cooking for her churchfellows. Spacious room, 20+ tables, clean. Serve perch, mullet, catfish as well as bbq'd meats. Baked beans are a star--richly maple-sweet and meaty. Lima beans made with pig tail bones and flavorful but perhaps too salty. Baked mac & cheese was great/cheesy, but I'm a creamier/not baked fan. Unique peach cobbler with a light cake and peaches on the bottom. Delicious change. Anxious to try the grits & fish breakfast. I have no doubt Mz Babae will have a following with her southern/soul food. PROS--friendly staff, (Danica-attentive server) sat quickly, nice flavors, great prices, fair portions, served piping hot, owner visited table, real silverware & plates, great menu options including burgers and sandwiches, hot dogs, serve breakfast, lunch & supper CONS-unpleasant odor upon entering, water tastes like well water, didn't enjoy pig tail bones in the meaty lima beans and the (delicious) baked beans, Pepsi products.

The staff are very friendly. The kitchen is a little slow getting the food out, but i believe that will improve once the kinks are worked out before the actual Grand Opening. THEY BROKE OUR CONTRACT LESS THAN TWO MONTHS BEFORE OUR WEDDING. The contract included the venue,…read morethe catering, the flowers, and most of the decorations. Meaning they left us with less than two months to completely start over in planning our entire wedding. They even have you sign the contract saying that you will not leave them any bad reviews (we should have known then), but since they are the ones that broke the contract I will make sure to leave the worst reviews on every site I can find. It started when Brandy emailed us somebody else's contract, showing us that for a cheaper price they got a lot more than we did. She said she didn't see what the big deal was. Then, the florist said that he was already doing two weddings that week and just couldn't handle the stress. (He is probably in the wrong line of work) We tried to explain to him that it was already included in the contract. We received a call afterwards from the company saying that the florist complained, saying that we were screaming at him and he refused to do business with us. That was a lie. There were many small things that suddenly were not included or different than what was agreed on when we first met. The next problem we had, had to do with the catering. Initially we were told that when we did the taste test that we would be able to choose from a menu what we would like to try and decide from there what we would like for the wedding. That changed as well. They then told us that since they do the taste tests for large groups of people they cannot cater to everyone's wants and that we would only be able to try what was on their menu for that month. So we went. We were the only family there. That meant they also lied about not being able to cater to us. They began to bring out the appetizers, which were almost inedible. One of the appetizers was a green fried tomato slider. There wasn't really any tomato in it so it just tasted like fried breading in bread. Another one was potato souffle if I remember correctly. Whatever it was, when we put our fork in it to take a bite, the entire thing came up like a rock. My mom commented that she could tell that the food had been pre-made but she assumed that it would be fresh for the wedding. That didn't go over too well, Brandy told us that she could bring out the pan that the food was cooked in.....like that was going to prove anything. Then she went in the kitchen and came back with someone else from the company. The first thing he said when he came out was: "Obviously there is nothing we can do to make you happy so you can come Wednesday to pick up your check." NO ONE SHOULD EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THOSE LIARS.

I…read moredidn't like the distance from the city of Atlanta (and some of my guests got a bit lost); however, it was completely worth it. The large windows, brick interior, loft style, outdoor area (patio and garden) and river backdrop were beautiful (which made for wonderful photos). Guests immediately loved the place when they pulled up to the venue. I was set on getting married outside; however, because of rain the morning of the wedding and the wet grounds, our ceremony was held inside and cocktail hour was outside on the patio. Even though my heart was set on everything being outside (other than the reception), it was all beautiful and perfect. The bridal loft was definitely a plus since I had a large bridal party. It was a beautiful fully equipped loft style apartment that also made for great photos. I wouldn't change a thing about the venue other than its distance. This was a great find. I initially looked at the Cotton Warehouse in Monroe (which was also nice), but I am so grateful that Jakob told me about this place because it fit us perfectly.
