I live in California and there is only so much that can be done from afar, but we rented a pod and needed movers to help load it. They were competitively priced and available on fairly short notice. Stephen was responsive and helpful. Appointment was scheduled for later afternoon and Stephen messaged me early that same morning to confirm D'Angelo and another would be conducting the service and gave their contact information. A couple hours before the scheduled start time i was contacted that their previous job was running over and they would likely be 1-2 hours later. Apparently the secondary mover quit unexpectedly that day and put them behind. He apologized for any inconvenience, but assured they would still come and get it done. It actually kind of worked out because it gave my mom more time to pack. It ended up being Stephen and D'Angelo who came and did the service. My mom said they were very nice and such a great help. She was very pleased. I was quoted about 2-3 hours to do the job. I paid 50% up front for 3 hours. They completed the job really quickly - in only about an hour. I was sent final invoice for 3 hours still. I asked about it and he updated it for 2 hours only. No minimums, travel fees, or other fees were mentioned during the initial setup, so I wanted to ask again since it only took them about an hour, but decided to let it be since they had such a tough day and had to travel down from the Nashville area to Murfreesboro. I later saw on their website that they mentioned a 2-hour minimum also. I asked about additional fees, which they mentioned possibly only if packing or dissembly services needed, however no minimums mentioned. I wish I had been clear up front - only reason for 4 starts instead of 5 - but overall it was all more than worth it. Overall, I would definitely use their services again, as well as recommend them. Communication was pretty good, prices were competitive, service was excellent, employees were friendly and professional, and work ethic was outstanding. They easily could have decided to cancel our service when they no longer had the expected help, but they stepped it up, communicated what was going on, and made sure to still get the job done. It was very much appreciated and a huge relief from afar.

Systematic Billing Fraud, Tax Evasion, and Deceptive Corporate Practices…read more I am formally escalating a consumer fraud dispute against College HUNKS regarding a finalized $5,500 refund that is now two weeks overdue. This business engaged in deceptive, predatory, and illegal operational practices from start to finish. The company completely bypassed their advertised protocols by failing to provide formal estimates or allowing us to approve pricing, leading to exorbitant charges wildly exceeding their standard website rates. Upon completion, they refused to issue official receipts or legitimate paperwork, explicitly lying and stating receipts would "take several days," which never arrived. Most alarmingly, management directed us to pay an employee directly through a personal Zelle account, falsely claiming this was official company procedure. The service itself was a complete failure. Hired on Friday for an urgent removal and basic cleaning project under a strict Monday morning deadline, outside of the first day, the crew worked roughly one hour per day, abandoned the job unfinished, and explicitly lied by stating the job was complete. They fabricated truckload volume logs to inflate our bill, claiming they removed items that were actually left behind. In the end, we had to perform the "heavy lifting" to remove the remaining items ourselves, and my girlfriend had to execute the cleaning work the crew completely skipped and ultimately were unable to do because they DID NOT HAVE THEIR OWN BROOMS AND DUST PANS! When confronted with this absolute breach, management approved a corrective $5,500 refund which was signed and dated by both a member of their team and myself as well as stating it would be paid by 5 pm on 6/11/26. As of writing this review it is now 6/23/26. Since then, local operations and corporate management (StressFreeService@chhj.com) have completely ignored our formal demands for payment. Instead, a representative has resorted to back-channel stall tactics, calling our real estate agent to play dumb pretending he no longer knows how to contact us after personally sending a hundred or more texts and calling us dozens of times from him personal cellphone. Now he is deceptively attempting to settle this binding debt for an unauthorized $2,500. We demand the immediate return of our full $5,500.
