DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I can't reiterate this enough. DO NOT USE THEM. I provided them with a detailed inventory list of every single piece of furniture in my house and the quantity of boxes they needed to move. 3 days before the scheduled move they contacted me saying they misquoted and it was going to be an additional $200 per hour (scheduled for 10 hours so $2,000). I said absolutely not, you had more than enough information to quote this properly and you also are coming to me 3 days before my move which gives me zero time to even secure another moving company. As you can imagine, because I said no, they put huge holes in the walls, severely scratched the floors (brand new home), shattered a mirror, shattered the glass on a bar cart, shattered a side table, lost the hardware for the bed frames, and severely scratched our leather sofa we invested in. They had zero respect for our belongings and new home. And when I contacted claims, they offered me $400! Lily in their support department has zero empathy towards customers. I asked her how she even came up with this number and she said it's a percentage based on weight of the items. She did not even have dimensions or any details to even come up with the weight- it was completely made up and I was supposed to be accepting of it. I asked her how she would feel if she invested in a new home and furniture and the moving company completely destroyed her belongings and her response was again a complete lack of empathy and zero willingness to alleviate the problems her team left me with. She made her teams mistakes my problem

I moved out of Extra Space Storage on Saturday, and the experience was terrible. The closest elevator, which, according to reviews has been out for months and they've done nothing about it, the elevator to my unit on the fourth floor was out of order, so everyone had to use one faraway elevator. That was not properly communicated ahead of time, and it made the move take twice as long as it should have. Because of that extra time and extensive walking, I had to pay around $400 to $450 more in moving costs. My veteran father was there helping me, but the walk was too far for him physically, so he had to sit outside in a chair because he could not keep walking back and forth. My 3-year-old granddaughter was also with me, and when the leasing agent left for an extended time without unlocking the bathroom, we had to go across the street to the fire station just to use the restroom. I emailed corporate and got no response, and I was told they are not going to do anything. This location should be held accountable for the inconvenience and cost they caused. I'm leaving this review so other people know not to just keep contacting corporate, but to also report issues to the Tennessee Attorney General's office.

AJ, a female "manager" at this company is horrific. Truly. We ended up cancelling and moving out of a large unit that we rented just two days after move-in due to the harassing and unprofessional nature that AJ carried herself with. When my girlfriend and I were moving things in, she immediately targeted her. Unsure on if it was motivated by a "bad day" or some other prejudice. She was way too interested in the contents of what we were storing... why would an employee be so interested in what you are leaving unattended? Spoiler alert: it was tools and materials that wouldn't fit in our garage. Kind of the exact reason storage units exist. Next came the name calling and her aggressive conversation. It seemed an awful lot like she wanted to pick a fight. The final straw was meeting another customer who had a unit on the same floor as us. He said he had similar hostile interactions with AJ. He said that she has repeatedly yelled at him, sometimes with a microphone, and that apparently its a commonly known issue at this location. Rod - I hope whoever owns this locations sees this and puts you in a stronger position over there. Whoever is deciding to keep AJ employed.... mistake.

I have to admit that I never thought that I would be renting a storage unit but between the…read morerenovations of my home and all the excess marketing materials for my job and projects, I needed one fast or my loft was going to resemble an episode of hoarders. I chose this location due to the close proximity to my home and overall convenience. I became a bit frustrated when I initially called in for some information on pricing and availability of units, the lady who answered was friendly but I never received a call back from the manager as she promised. Since I needed a unit immediately, I popped by the office a few days later and was offered great customer service, clear information on pricing and policies, and made a $10 deposit on a 10X10 unit. I pay around $115 for a 3rd floor unit (no heating/ac) which also allows for package and shipment deliveries and access to the facility from 9am - 9pm. If you opt to pay another $10 a month, you can have access for 24/7 too. The nice thing about this place is you don't have to commit to any complicated contracts as it is billed monthly. Easy breezy! You pay a $25 administrative fee when you commit to renting but this also includes a lock with 3 sets of keys. Overall, this location appears safe and accommodating which are pretty much my basic requirements for a storage unit. TIP: They sell boxes here. Oodles of them. TIP: Check out their website for any special promotions or deals! I was able to save $5 a month due to doing a little research! Every dollar counts, right?
