Was quoted for 8 hours and 6 guys for our home. Currently on day two and it's dragging. Broken furniture items and an additions 12% feet on top. They have deceptive marketing and poor customer service. They should know to disassemble furniture when moving it and not load heavy boxes on top of antique dining tables... I've truly never had this experience with moving company before-- it's the worst. They also knocked a hole on the wall of our brand new house yesterday and I haven't heard back from the manager yet...

We were really expecting quality service when we booked with Black Tie Moving, but ended up being quite disappointed with the service we received. When we got a quote over the phone, I described the service we would need would be unloading a uhaul into our new build home. I had asked if this service included unwrapping and reassembling larger items and was reassured that yes, the movers would unload our truck, put everything where we wanted it and reassemble our furniture. We got a call the day before confirming our window for service would be from 1-4pm. I explained we were driving across the country so any heads up on a more specific time would be appreciated so we could line up our arrival times. On the day of, we received a call from the movers at around 10am saying they finished their morning job and were ready early, I let them know our ETA was 12:45 so meeting at 1pm would be great. They called again at 12:45 confirming our arrival and we said yes, come on over! At 1:19pm I received another call from the movers saying they "didn't realize how far away they were and would be there in about 2.5 hours"... I don't understand how we confirmed the time of arrival 2 times and they never once checked the address to see how far away they were. Movers finally arrived at 4:15pm, with no sense of urgency or apology for the delay. At that point we had already done some unloading out of the truck on our own. Movers moved at an incredibly slow pace and were noticeably unhappy to be here. The first thing they did when entering the house was ask "where's your bathroom?" And "can I plug my phone in?". They brought the larger items inside and did not unwrap or reassemble them as I was told they would. When we asked them, they said their standard is if they didn't pack it then they don't unpack it... I was told something completely different over the phone when booking. I have also found a few points of damage done from the movers including chipped walled and doorframes from carelessly moving our items. This is a new build home, it is very disappointing to have damage done on literally day 1 of moving in so carelessly. I was also told when booking that we would receive the "black tie treatment" and something would be placed on our floors to protect it, all we got was a little mat placed over the door frame and a few feet into our hallway. We were overly kind and helped take some boxes and put them where we wanted and the movers never once cracked a smile. When we received a phone call to close out the move a few minutes after they left, I let the woman know our concerns and was only told "I'll make a note". No apology or care for the complaint. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. We feel like we paid for a service that we ended up doing half of on our own... maybe if our initial quote phone call wasn't so promising we wouldn't have had such high expectations but they definitely over promised and under delivered. We will not be using them again.

I moved out of Extra Space Storage on Saturday, and the experience was terrible. The closest elevator, which, according to reviews has been out for months and they've done nothing about it, the elevator to my unit on the fourth floor was out of order, so everyone had to use one faraway elevator. That was not properly communicated ahead of time, and it made the move take twice as long as it should have. Because of that extra time and extensive walking, I had to pay around $400 to $450 more in moving costs. My veteran father was there helping me, but the walk was too far for him physically, so he had to sit outside in a chair because he could not keep walking back and forth. My 3-year-old granddaughter was also with me, and when the leasing agent left for an extended time without unlocking the bathroom, we had to go across the street to the fire station just to use the restroom. I emailed corporate and got no response, and I was told they are not going to do anything. This location should be held accountable for the inconvenience and cost they caused. I'm leaving this review so other people know not to just keep contacting corporate, but to also report issues to the Tennessee Attorney General's office.

She secured my space with a reservation and in the most respectful way, let me complete my paperwork in the comfort of my own timing. If it wasn't for her, my stress level would be through the roof. Fast-forward a month later, just when I thought this storage location couldn't get any better, they literally over achieve with flying colors. Every single person on this staff team is a gem. AJ, a female "manager" at this company is horrific. Truly. We ended up cancelling and moving out of a large unit that we rented just two days after move-in due to the harassing and unprofessional nature that AJ carried herself with. When my girlfriend and I were moving things in, she immediately targeted her. Unsure on if it was motivated by a "bad day" or some other prejudice. She was way too interested in the contents of what we were storing... why would an employee be so interested in what you are leaving unattended? Spoiler alert: it was tools and materials that wouldn't fit in our garage. Kind of the exact reason storage units exist. Next came the name calling and her aggressive conversation. It seemed an awful lot like she wanted to pick a fight. The final straw was meeting another customer who had a unit on the same floor as us. He said he had similar hostile interactions with AJ. He said that she has repeatedly yelled at him, sometimes with a microphone, and that apparently its a commonly known issue at this location. Rod - I hope whoever owns this locations sees this and puts you in a stronger position over there. Whoever is deciding to keep AJ employed.... mistake.

New tenants beware! New property staff!…read more Was here for over a year with no issues. Recently there has been a change to office staff and it shows. Throughout the entire year I've been here one of the two elevators is often not working. So if you get an until on the second floor, be cautious. Beware storing anything you may want quick access to. All the units are remote access. It's common for units to not be working properly. I've encountered many frustrated tenants that cannot access their units. After hours this is an impossible problem to solve. You simply must wait until the next business day. Most recently my unit was accessed by "technician request" for maintenance on the lock. I was given NO NOTICE that someone would be accessing my unit. This happened after apparently another tenant tampered with other units. "Cutting wires" etc. which made access to multiple units impossible. My unit was not affected, but had an unrelated issue with access. After pressuring the new guy in the office to help me into it we finally went up together and got it open. He originally told me I had to wait for a technician in a few days. After helping me I got a call to let me know my 24 hour access is revoked while they "look into" the tampering of the units. About a week later they let me know I would not be getting my 24 hour access back because I'm not a "registered business." I'm not sure what a musician in nashville is considered, but I think my tax guy considers me. They were sure to let me know that I signed all the correct paper work and paid the correct fees, but someone on there end didn't go through the proper channels to allow me access. No surprise there. They seem to do whatever they want here. (i.e. open your unit without telling you). Additionally, if there is no power (like in the last ice storm) you will not be able to access your unit regardless of what floor it's on. The front doors are all remote access as well. I attempted to retrieve an emergency power station that was in my unit during the storm. I was not able to gain access until power was restored. I really loved this place for a year. I was allowed to play my drums at here and had 24 hour access. Now that's all gone and staff members are just opening units whenever they feel like it. Original review from a year ago: Three is amazing. Very excited to use the space!
