I'm giving Giant Slice a 5-star review, although primarily for the grilled wings we got. I have never had experienced wings like this. We got a dozen bbq, and the three of us (travel weary and starving) mauled those 12 pieces of pure awesome in about 2 minutes. We've vowed that next time, we get 3 dozen of the wings and pass on the pizza entirely. The pizza does require an honorable mention, though. We got two pies - an OBX BBQ Chicken (recommended as a specialty) and a mushroom and cheese. The OBX BBQ pizza would have been 5-stars without the chicken which tasted like pre-cooked rib meat of less than great quality. Once I took the chicken off, the pizza was top 10 easily. The crust is thin and tasty and the pizza is not the typical thin-slice greasy I've had elsewhere. The mushroom pizza was not my favorite specifically because there was too much oregano. Visiting OBX for the week, wanted something easy. We ordered delivery, pizza arrived quickly, however was not cooked completely. Think of a soggy cardboard box. While I Appreciate fast service, but not when it is practically uneatable. Pepperoni pizza, was very, very greasy, as in leaving puddles on the plate. We also order their version of a supreme, that I would equate to a "kitchen sink" pizza or "garbage" pizza. I think every topping they had available was thrown in. Maybe we were just being punked? Coupled with being under cooked, there is no other way to described this pizza except for, not good. Just plain gross. With eight people to feel most of that pizza was thrown away and others decided to eat left overs. Their breads sticks...don't even bother. read more

We ordered from here the first night we arrived in the Outerbanks (Corolla). Apparently everyone else who came in that day had the same idea because we were told it was an hour to an hour and fifteen minute wait for delivery. It ended up taking closer to two hours for us to get our food. We ordered two large pies (plain and pepperoni) and 50 wings (half hot and half BBQ). The pizza looked like cheap, "bowling alley" pizza, but admittedly tasted better than its appearance. The wings were just awful. They were extremely fatty. We couldn't even finish all of them, they were just that disgusting. We were not too pleased with the quality of the food, especially for the price. It was close to $90 for our order...totally not worth it. Would never order from here again. read more

This is a great place to stop and grab a bite! The pizza was really good! Although we did get their garlic knots, they were NOT cooked all the way.. we asked for a new batch and she gave us back the same ones, but they were BURNT, and she didn't even seem to care! Not that great. We got a whole pie and it was under cooked and I couldn't even pick up the slice. Had to eat it with a fork. I see other people getting slices that look more done then this so maybe the slice is the way to go. Wife got wings. Not impressed either. read more

Very good pizza (Pepperoni & Veggie), but not very "Giant" when it comes to each slice. However, this place is one of the best in Corolla, NC by far! We've tried others like The Tomato Patch (never again!) and Corolla Pizza (so so). The fried Ravioli appetizer is really good too. read more

ATTENTION visitors from north of the Mason-Dixon line: don't bother, you will only be disappointed. If your visiting from Brooklyn for example and are used to delicious pies from Totonno's, please don't subject yourself to pizza from this place unless you're a) hammered and can't drive, and/or b) starving with no other choices. I'm not a pizza fanatic and this pizza let even me down. Even my wife will vouch for the fact that I will normally eat just about anything and not complain. The crust seems frozen, the sauce is bland, and our pizza showed up with the toppings stuck to the top of the pizza box. So clearly, our pizza went thru the dryer or was at the bottom of a stack of 20 other pizzas...after the hour-and-a-half wait time we had to endure, even when ordering at 430pm!! Bleh. read more

7/22/2017: Pizzas we're good. We ordered three 18-inch pizzas: a cheese, a pepperoni, and a supreme. We tried getting a few slices with hamburger (no pork) but all their meat, even meatballs have pork. Phone didn't seem to work when we called, so we drove there and ordered in person. They were getting calls non-stop. We heard them telling folks who were calling in that the estimation to have pizzas delivered was over an hour. We told them we would wait and ours were ready in thirty minutes. Tip: during the high season Saturday nights are the busiest since that's when many folks arrive for a one-week vacation. read more

This was a pretty good pizza. I really like the size it was pretty big, as the name of the place suggests. Quality was okay, also service was okay. Messed up our order and took awhile to make it right. Overall it was a pretty good pizza and cheese was on point. read more

We ordered a small pizza, mozzarella sticks, and a salad. The mozzarella sticks were great, and the salad was excellent. The pizza wasn't great, and I wasn't expecting much either. I do think there is a difference when you buy the big pizza compared to the small ones here. All of the pictures look like the pizza is the typical hand tossed pizza, but we ordered a small and it was definitely a pre made crust. The service which was fast and friendly, which is why my rating went from 3 to 4. We ordered from here because when we were outside the shop during the day, we heard people raving about it. Again, I think there may be a difference when you order a big pie compared to a small. Depending on where you are staying , fast delivery is hard to come by and they get points far that! read more

My friends and I ordered several pies from here for a night in and they were delivered within 30 minutes! The pepperoni and cheese pizzas were pretty standard (medium crust thickness), but the buffalo chicken pizza was not your usual buff chick- it actually didn't seem like it had buffalo sauce on it; it was more like a white pizza with chicken and onions. Overall though I'd definitely order from here again for a night in with friends. read more

Good thin crust pizza NY style. When I called to order I asked how long it takes for delivery and was told 1 hour. I then asked if I pick it up how long until it would be ready and was told 20 minutes. So I placed the order for pick up and we drove to the shop and the 2 knuckle heads behind the counter said it would be ready in 40 minutes. They had not started to build the pies. I know this is the beach but this business needs better customer service. read more

Pizza is hit or miss. There have been a few times where my pizza has tasted like sunscreen.

I was in town for the week and Giant Slice has some of the best food I've ever had! They have a great meatball sub and I don't even like meatball subs. 10/10 garlic knots. The guy working the cashier was really funny and super nice. Terrible cardboard pizza. Think Chucky Cheese, only with whole wheat crust. Really bad!

2 stars is a generous rating for this pizza joint. Service is painstakingly slow. When my brother and I arrived 15 minutes early for our two pies they said would take an hour (seriously, how long does it take to make a plain pizza?!). When we asked the cashier if there was any chance our pizza was done early, she looked at us as if she was offended and rudely stated, "you're early." DUH! We were hungry! After browsing the shops for the remainder of the time, we finally got our pizza and it was a pitiful excuse for the real thing. My brother got margarita pizza, and it was literally regular cheese pizza with pieces of tomato and dried basil sprinkled on top. So pathetic. Great, fresh pizza. Italian cold cut was wonderful.

We decided to order take out from here after a long day at the beach and after an evening photo session where it was too late to try to prepare dinner. Giant Slice Pizza was nearby and despite the recent negative reviews we decided to go for it. We ordered ahead and were told our pizzas would be ready in about 25 minutes. I don't know if it was because we were starving but I found the pizzas to be amazing! I actually prefer for my pizzas not to have too much sauce and I felt they had the perfect amount. We ordered a pepperoni and a supreme and they were overloaded with toppings. I would definitely order pizza from here again. read more

Giant slice pizza is kind of a lie. The size of each slice is smaller than usual. The pizza was obviously reheated and frozen. The pizza also came lukewarm. It was also a bit of trouble finding the establishment due to it being part of multiple stores and having no signs leading to it. The pizza looked old and was dry and bland tasting. They need to put more effort into making their food. The only good thing I can say is that the pizza was somewhat edible. Giant slice, more like giant disappointment. read more

Out shopping and stopped for lunch. The pizza is only okay. I've definitely had better. My daughter and I split a salad too, which we sent back because the iceberg was all brown. I truly don't understand the good reviews. The pizza was very disappointing. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've had better pizza from the freezer section of the grocery store. Stopped in for a quick slice, which it definitely was super quick. The service wasn't anything spectacular, nor was the pizza. We ended up having much better pizza a few days later which explains the 3 stars. You have the option of getting your slice on a frisbee for $1.50 (something like that) which was a cute idea. read more

Was pretty good! The Greek pizza tasted wonderful although it has a lot of cheese, but it was still tasty. Definitely worth stopping by.

We have ordered their pizza on each of our last 2 visits to OBX. It is not the best pizza I have ever had, but it is pretty good. We will order it on our next OBX visit. read more
