This is in regards to the online ordering and delivery. I have spent $1000 in recent months with a few small glitches. My last order however was a big problem. Missed items, incorrect items and incorrect substitutions I notified them of my concerns and the response I received from them was a generic response with a code for $10 off my next order of $100. They did not address any of my issues. I don't think they even read the details. I will not order from them anymore. read more

I live in Rochester and I'm sorry I have to add this review. Let me start off by saying I love the fact that I have a full grocery store really close to where I live unfortunately I don't know what is going on with your pharmacy there. I am having all future prescriptions transferred to the Giant Eagle pharmacy in Beaver Falls. I will not have anything filled in rochester pharmacy ever again the attitude and lack of appreciation you get from the people that work there is horrible. And if I'm being truly honest, it has only gotten worse and I was just there today. There were six people behind the counter and the one working the register should've been down in the basement working where nobody could see her. I'll drive the extra distance 15 minutes out of my way to Giant Eagle in Beaver Falls to their pharmacy whether they're always pleasant. Sometimes that's all you need is a smile and a thank you. Updated review on Giant Eagle, Rochester. The store now is clean, bright, wider aisles and better selection. Ace Hardware is located towards the rear of the store, great items; the man that manages Ace is very helpful. One negative: put the prepared food closer to the front, it is lost by the wine/beer section. read more

I buy in Rochester, and I am going to find another place to shop. The fruit they sell is literally rotting on the shelf. I bought grapes and they are one day away from throwing in the garbage. They are soft,rubbery and as far as I knew grapes should be hard and snap when you bite them. I have had this problem every time i go to this store. Their tomatoes are not fit to take home, their heirloom tomatoes almost squished in my hand when I went to find a good one. This is just a waste of money. Their Planters lightly salted cashews in the 8.5oz can are 10.99, they are 6.99 on Amazon. Ridiculous. I would rather travel the 40 minutes to go to the Krogers on rte 22.What is this management group doing in this place! Goodbye read more

If I could leave zero I would. Over the last week I've tried calling many times about my Rite Aid transferred prescriptions, against my wishes it was done automatically due to closing store. No one answers a phone. Lines take an hour and I have medicine I depend on I've been without for a week because I cannot get help. Although they carry alot here.....when it comes to the produce...it is so horrible......yesterday 10-30-25 I bought a watermelon. Cut it up next day and it is so mushy and at the stage that we throw out. Called a total of 6 times..........5 asking for produce dept...no answer. Called again and asked for customer service. When they finally answered got someone who said bring it back and choose another. I said I did not want another and was she expecting me to bring back the sloshy mess of a watermelon...of which she said no bring your receipt. I thought that would be ok. I then asked for her name so that I could mention that when I came in next week (first chance to go) I would still get my refund. She kept saying no first name but customer service person. I said I need a name so they can verify that I did call ...at which point she stated her name was patience!!!!!! Knew I had been beat....but seriously I have to take a $7.99 hit to my pocket?????? Why is this right. I will no longer shop here.....but I will pursue my refund. As for those workers involved....I sincerely hope this comes around to you....and you find yourself in same predicament.....you will then understand your shameful behavior. I have a great pleasure to shop at the Rochester, PA Giant Eagle twice A month. All the employee's that I have encountered have been friendly and professional in dress and manner.The store is always clean and well lite. The staff is always approachable and helpful. I did have an opportunity the see the store manager interact with his employees and during that observation I could see the respect he and his employees have for each other. I recommend this store for all residents near or around the Rochester PA area. This store is an example of what shoppers should expect. read more

The prices here are outrageous! Their ribeye steak is selling at 25.99lb. I can go to Milk House Meats for 12.99lb. I do not appreciate being gouged like this. I look for certain foods I like and I make wasted trips as their stock is never the same. Sometimes they have it, sometimes they don't. I am amazed you cannot buy normal cukes down there, only the seedless cukes are here. I have purchased fruit here gone home and it is one day away from tossing in the garbage. It is nice they offer to refund your money, but that means 2 things, they are not checking their product before they put it on the shelf and I have to make a second trip to return it. I could care less about the ambience, the quality of their food is why I go shopping, and this place needs to step up their game. Their in house foods are getting scarce and they are nowhere as good as they were a year ago. Their meatloaf used to be superb, now you have to use a knife to cut it. Why would you change a great recipe to that? Aldis is cheaper and fresher for produce! I used to use their pharmacy until they kept telling me 3 days to get a script filled. Why? They are a branch pharmacy and depend on another pharmacy to fill their scripts! No thanks, When I need antibiotics, 3 days is unacceptable! Glad I left. Since my health has limited my mobility, I have counted on Giant Eagle Curbside services for delivery of my purchases. I have been extremely pleased with the professionalism of this section. Not only are they very friendly ,but they go out of their way to call me about any out of stock items and offer a substitution. They even send me a picture of the substitute item . I recommend the Rochester, PA Giant Eagle as a model for all grocery stores in Pennsylvania. read more

The pharmacy never has any of my medications when ordered or reordered in stock. I always have to wait for several days to get it. When you call and inquire about when it will be available they say " We don't know until it's here" That's NOT an acceptable answer especially when it comes to my diabetic and heart meds. The drive thru is only open 1/2 the time. When you don't feel well finding a parking spot and walking all the way back to the pharmacy and standing in line is a real inconvenience. The staff themselves are always pleasant and very helpful. read more

Just got home from shopping there. Spent over $400. With that said... Noticed they were advertising 2/3.98 on blueberries & raspberries. I asked manager of produce if I had the correct blueberries advertised, & if if was correct 2/3.98. Manager said yes with lady working in flower as witness. She was the one that got the manager. I asked if they can mixed, in other words, could I get 1 package of blueberries for 3/98, then the 1 raspberry would be free. He said yes. So I bought 1 carton of blueberries & 1 carton of raspberries. When we were checking out, I noticed cashier charged me for 3.98 each for blueberries & raspberries. I told her that isn't what they had advertised nor is it was the produce manager told me. So she got the cashier manager that rudely told me the price was correct. Lesson learned. Our giant eagle card was scanned, so it wasn't that we didn't use our giant eagle card. Hubby I both left angry knowing if they are playing price games with produce, they are probably doing it with other items, & probably doing it to other people. Fortunately there are other grocery stores, even if it means we shop outside Beaver county. read more

It's been an age since I have been to GE...mostly because I had grown tired of paying significantly more for even the most basic of items. Remembering that I needed bread after passing Shop n Save, I stopped yesterday to grab a loaf and see if anything else looked good. It was not long before I was reminded of why I don't shop at GE, here or at any of their other locations...prices are even more outrageous than before, and some categories of food no longer include a choice of store brand. They remodeled the store and added an Ace Hardware Store inside. looks new and they expanded their curbside area. But GE is very overpriced and they raised the prepared foods up significantly i.e. a small plastic box of GE pasta salad was $9 now it's 13.99. Its all the prepared foods. They now have a much smaller selection due to the waste from people not paying those prices. it's almost always now filled with fried chicken or shredded turkey lol. PASS. ALDI is SO much cheaper. In store deli pizzas at GE are 14 bucks vs 7-8 at ALDI. same pizza different name. Even the packaging is the exact same. Absolute greed. read more

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's a Giant Eagle, but the people here are so unerringly nice you'd think that you somehow found yourself in Mayberry. Gollygeewhizgoshdarnit. . Our cashier Stephanie was dressed to the nines, all dolled up like she was selling cosmetics at Macy's, and was as sweet as a cherry orchard. Did I mention that it's a 24-hour store, and that we stopped in around midnight? It's a BIG supermarket with everything you might need for last minute X-Mas dinners. They even have a Kosher section, which my gentile self found interesting and enlightening. I almost bought a Hebrew candy bar. The one thing they didn't have: fresh cranberries, something my girlfriend needed but failed to locate...anywhere. I did walk out with a bottle of ginger ale, though. Had to stop into this Rochester Giant Eagle twice this past week for some groceries. This store has been very nicely decorated/updated in the produce section. I got to speak to a very nice worker in the bakery section about placing an order. She was friendly, informative and just a real treat. Also, since up north the bbq season is dying out they no longer had wooden skewers for sale so the gentleman in the deli section was nice enough to go in the back and hand me a few for free. That small gesture was much appreciated! The only negative was the grumpy woman who checked us out. Maybe she was just having an off day. All in all, a really great supermarket. It's not up to my Harris Teeter standards but in the area there are few options and this was definitely a great choice. Good tip, on Fridays they have a dozen donuts for $5! Don't be fooled by the boxes of plains labeled. You are allowed to pick any 12 from the custom donuts as well. read more

This store has good selection, Citizen bank, pharmacy, customer service desks to buy stamps, lottery tickets, florist etc... Drive thru pharmacy. But its super busy and crowded and kinda expensive. They do have ethnic food sections like Asian, Mexican etc... Salad Bar is nice but expensive. Bakery is good. The parking lot is poorly designed and cramped so its a nightmare to navigate. Be extra careful in this parking lot because its dangerous. read more

This Giant Eagle store used to be so much better. Yes, they have a wonderful variety of foods, but the workers there just don't care much about customer service. Today I spent nearly $400 on groceries and I had to help bag the groceries, and then load the bags into the buggy. I asked a girl at the next register to come and help - she was helping someone who had about 10 items - and her attitude was awful. If I wanted to bag groceries, I'd get a job bagging groceries. I'm retired, 66 years old, and tired of lazy employees. It's really not their fault, though, is it? It's he fault of the owner and the manager. Someone needs to bring excellent customer service back to this store. read more

Went online like i do for walmart to check out products, & you hit in pretzels, & it brings up anything but pretzels. You go to the grocery aisles & click on snacks, & nothing happens. You try to hit contact under help in 2 different areas, & it brings up error, no page. It is so easy at walmart to pull up any product you want, even see the nutrition value & everything. Will stick to my shopping there. The prices are better anyway! read more
