    Masks for sale at entrance
    Ellen M.

They need to enforce shoppers going down the correct way down the aisles. I also see lots of people wearing their masks incorrectly - ie not over their nose. Good job putting high moving items at the end caps so we don't have to go down the aisles.

This review is ONLY for the BAKERY. We have continued to be impressed with the cakes from this bakery. They are always fresh and moist. The cakes are well decorated and this bakery has a talented team of cake decorators. You can tell they really put pride in their work. This time I ordered a paw patrol cake for my son's 3rd birthday and went to pick it up Sunday afternoon. I was promptly greeted by a baker who stopped what she was doing and asked if she could help me. Our cake was waiting for us in the to be picked up area. She showed me the cake prior to just handing it to me and made sure we were satisfied. The cakes range in price, but because this was a special cake and even came with a paw patrol car it was a little more than their normal birthday cakes. I was fully aware of the price - $40.00 and think that's a fair price. Everyone enjoyed the cake and it received a lot of compliments. The sign and birthday candle were added by me.

Such amazing workers!! You bet your bottom dollar girlfriend will be back! I love the different products you can buy at Aldi as well you cannot find comparable elsewhere. Much love Aldi!! So nice at the Powell location, definitely my favorite one in Columbus compared to Hilliard + Plain City I used to go to!

I went to Aldi on a whim, because I needed lunch. I've never been to Aldi and I've only heard about…read moretheir urban myths (they don't accept credit cards, you have to be a member, you have to pay for a cart, and you need to pay for bags). Despite being scared of visiting an Aldi, I put on my big girl pants and went anyway. That being said I have a few questions/statements to share with you: 1. Why didn't anyone tell me about this place? 2. This is a treasure trove of goodness 3. A whole pineapple for $1.29, WHAT?!? 4. Brie for $2.99, SERIOUSLY?!? 5. Bargains galore, people. After stepping through the doors I noticed fresh produce in boxes. As mentioned above, whole pineapple for $1.29, I thought for sure this was a joke. No, not a joke. This was only the first deal I uncovered. A bag of almonds, $4.29. Mind blown. I proceeded to pick up a few odds and ends, a bag of salad, a peach, penguin feet (not real penguin feet, cheddar crackers), a snack size of almonds, and a bag of dried pineapple. Everything came to under $8. I felt like I was an extreme couponer, minus the coupons. They don't have everything, but if you want some good deals, this is the place to go. Aldi was super clean. It is barebones, so you need to come prepared, ie bringing your own bags, change for the cart, etc. Let me debunk their urban myths: 1. They do accept major credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay 2. No membership needed 3. You do need change for the cart, but once you return it you get it back 4. Yes, you have to pay for bags, .10 for a plastic bag and .7 for a paper bag. I most likely won't be doing my full fledged grocery shopping here, but I will definitely return when I need to buy snacks, cheese, fruit, etc. Checkout was super quick and pleasant. Pros: -Prices are below average, so you're getting a good deal -Store was clean -Customer Service was good -Variety of items Cons: -Paying for a bag (I know it'll encourage me to use the 801 reusable shopping bags I have in my house) -You May not be able to do your full fledged grocery shopping Tips: Bring your own bags and don't buy everything while you're here because it's a good deal....I may or may not be speaking from experience

I had the vegetable tacos. It was 2 for about $7. The tacos were really small. It came in a foil container which helped catch the fillings that were falling out. He made me a refreshing and flavorful Strawberry Basil Margarita in a mason jar, from the specialty drinks menu. I chose 3 tacos: Catfish Po'Boy, Kung Powell Shrimp, and Grilled Fish. I ate the Po'Boy first, which essentially ruined the other two for me because it was far better. I wanted to choke down two more Po'Boy tacos. Um, next time. I got an order of Avocado Salsa and Chips to go; I used to get this from the truck when I worked downtown and know how delicious it is. The place is about 20 minutes from my work, but it is worth the drive. Keep in mind the tacos are small for $3, but they are filled with quality ingredients. The space itself is funky and comfortable. When you enter, the takeout counter is clearly marked to order there, or to dine-in, proceed to the dining room which has several tables, as well as bar seating. I was the only person who dined in during my hour long visit, but someone came in to order takeout and I heard the takeout employee tell him he would bring it over shortly, then saw him walk the order over (I am assuming to a neighboring business). I recommend it if you are in the area for lunch or dinner.

Short version - not the experience I wanted for my daughter's wedding day. Bottom line - we paid…read moreapproximately $149 per person for a buffet meal where the food was on par with tepid, bland hospital fare. THANKFULLY, We we had great planners, a great DJ, and loving family and friends who made the entire event fun and light. If you decide to hire this company, here's some food for thought: 1) Executed Change orders are a MUST - and it's just good business hygiene -Make a spreadsheet of exactly is provided in the package you buy. -If you make "upgrade" selections, get the cost in writing, get an explicit change order (cost and quantity; even no-cost changes such as changes to the schedule / when food is to be served) signed by you and PC Catering Events and track as a line item in your spreadsheet. Working with young brides and families can be challenging - it's an emotional time and things can get lost in translation. You would think a wedding catering event company that's been around for 30+ years would know this. Being rigid up front is far preferred to being inflexible on the day of the wedding when unexpected time changes come up at the last minute. (Our event ran ahead of schedule, but because of the serving time on the catering contract, we had a 40 minute gap until they would serve our food (it was not yet warm when we needed it). Thank goodness the DJ got us up and dancing for 40 minutes while we waited. When the food was served, it was warm, but not hot.) 2) If you don't receive the final invoice from PC Catering Events by the T minus 3 week date, send an email requesting it (with a read confirmation receipt - or better yet, certified mail). We started reaching out to PC in late March / Early April and got no response until I called a number I found on google on 4/12 and Kevin picked up the phone. If they tell you they already sent the final invoice prior to the 3-week milestone (and to check your spam mailbox if you don't have it), ask them to forward the sent email with the time stamp from their Sent inbox. (I asked for this repeatedly and they would not send.) 3) Carefully scrutinize your spreadsheet from item 1 above against the invoice they provide. I asked repeatedly for a breakdown of the additional cost that doubled our event cost. Our package, base price of $31.50 per person for 50 people became $149 per person for 50 people (inclusive of plates, linens, etc.) for a buffet set-up (not plated). I purchased the alcohol separately - so this was not factored into PC Events per person cost. Once I think I have it figured out, I will attach to this review. 4) Add a tasting to the contract. It's worth the expense. Based on positive food reviews, I can only presume that little to no effort went into caring for the quality of the food at our event. I don't know whether the "warm" temperature of the food was a contributor to its overall lack of appeal. It looked and tasted like it came from industrial packaging purchased from Gordon Food Services. I had 3 bites of salad. The knives provided were inadequate to cut the beef tenderloin. The appetizers were dry and had to be covered in sauce to make it possible to chew and swallow. 5). While you should not have to do this - get confirmation directly from the venue that the catering company has submitted all required paperwork to have the event. We received a letter from our venue 2 days before the wedding stating that PC Events couldn't work on their site because they had not turned in the paperwork. He eventually turned in the paperwork, but when I asked Kevin to send me proof of reinstatement, he told me to call the venue myself. 6) Go with your gut. If you get to the final 3 weeks and you sense things are spiraling out of control - don't throw good money after bad. I could and should have moved the event to another community space that was available to me, ordered pizzas, pasta dishes, and salads, and hired a local bartender. It would have cost less than the additional $3,000 I had to pay on top of my existing $5,000 deposit. Incidentally, PC Events offered a $542 "discount" if my daughter and I would sign an agreement that neither I, my daughter, the wedding party, friends, and family would post any negative reviews about PC Events now or in the future in any form of print or media. (Basically they would pay me $542 for unlimited liability on me.) Since my daughter and I have no control over the potential actions of hundreds of people who could be linked to us, I had no choice but to pay the $542 to keep the event on the rails.

On that day he took down my card info but said I would receive an invoice/ contract within a couple days and after I sign I would have to fill out the card info again. On 9/30/24 my card was charged $2250 and I just received the money back after filing a chargeback with my bank. This has been an absolute nightmare where I have been bullied and threatened by Kevin/ Nancy for nearly 3 months. I immediately called Kevin and left a voicemail asking what that was for. He texted and said he was busy and that it was for my deposit. To which I responded I never received any paperwork. He told me to check my spam and I asked to speak to his manager since he said he was in a meeting for several hours. I never got any call and then later that night I received the paperwork. I saw the price estimate and because of how I was treated I was no longer interested in working with them. I never signed anything. Kevin said I would receive a refund in 10 business days or less. 9 business days go by and I follow up. I also follow up on the 10th business days on 10/15. No response from phone calls, emails or texts. I then left a negative review and filed a chargeback with my bank. That evening I received the below email from Nancy. I since took down my original review on the advice of a lawyer until the bank sided with me. To my original review they said I was a former employee and was lying. I updated my review to include screenshots of emails and texts proving I'm not a former employee. I responded to their email and didn't get a response until I got this email from Kevin. I questioned this response and told him I will not be signing a refund form because I never signed a contract in the first place. told him to send it over and I would look at it. I never received anything. On November 4th they must have been notified by my bank that I filed a chargeback. I received this email. My review was not slander it was the truth. My bank has said they haven't received a response from PC events. They tried to offer me another time to take my reviews down for a $150 Amazon gift card which I declined. And then we had no contact until November 18th when I deleted my reviews and they sent the last email. I never responded and finally the bank has sided with me.

I've been in the hospitality industry for many years, and word of mouth is everything if the DM and other leadership does not care to discuss this situation then they will find out how important word of mouth really is. --Original Review-- I would give this location more stars if it weren't for the customer service. I order from here often and the last few times i have ordered a giant tuna sandwich which gets delivered to my house. Upon opening my sandwich, I find that there is no tuna, two small tomato slices, very little lettuce, and a block of cheese. Each time I just figured they were busy and or they ran out of tuna so I would just make my own tuna, take off the block of cheese and add my own tuna to the sandwich. I like to believe the best in people and give them another chance. This last time my order was delivered like this I decided to call and discuss the situation. My calls went unanswered not once or twice but three times. When the call was finally picked up by Pria she answered the call by saying "yes rex" so she very well understood I was calling and why I was calling... Her attitude on the call only infuriated me more. I asked for her name, her managers name and my money back as I was done being disrespected by this girl who called herself a manager. She has no understanding what customer service means. She responded to my request with "you can get your money back when you bring the food back" and then proceed to tell me that i can speak to her manager when I come in. How dare her she needs to learn manners and respect for the customer. So I did just that. I took a photo of my sandwich and made my way to JJ. When I walked in Pria and her GM Jacob were having a conversation about me and my order in the front at the counter. I would also like to point out that the location was empty and not busy so no reason for her actions towards me. I was furious with the way she was acting as if I was the problem. Pria is a manger with no de-escalation skills whatsoever on top of her lack of customer service skills. I opened the opened sandwich on the counter showed the GM and explained I don't like being made out to be a liar. I own a restaurant in Powell and have lived here since 1997. I worked for Hilton doing everything from bussing tables in the restaurant at 15 to running hotels as a GM and later remodeling them across the country. I left Hilton to come back to Ohio to Open Potbelly's across the whole state Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati and then to later open my own restaurant in Powell... My point of all this is that I know customer service and she lacks everything when it comes to customer service and dealing with customers... I told Jacob if she worked for me and had that attitude towards customer she would have been gone in the most public way. I will not eat/order from JJ in Powell or at all for that matter as long as Pria is working for JJs. Someone needs to take accountability for her and her behavior. Im a loyal customer and ive given more than enough chances to Pria and this location to get it right now im done. Ill be calling corporate office and emailing the Reginal manager about her and her actions. I explained to Jacob I know good people with management backgrounds who struggle to find jobs and would love the opportunity she has currently with JJs. She is replaceable there is nothing special about her and she should be replaced and let go from JJs Powell. I also viewed the reviews before posting this and I believe all the 1-star reviews prove I'm right. I believe Pria is the very reason for those 1-star reviews.
