I went to Aldi on a whim, because I needed lunch. I've never been to Aldi and I've only heard about their urban myths (they don't accept credit cards, you have to be a member, you have to pay for a cart, and you need to pay for bags). Despite being scared of visiting an Aldi, I put on my big girl pants and went anyway. That being said I have a few questions/statements to share with you: 1. Why didn't anyone tell me about this place? 2. This is a treasure trove of goodness 3. A whole pineapple for $1.29, WHAT?!? 4. Brie for $2.99, SERIOUSLY?!? 5. Bargains galore, people. After stepping through the doors I noticed fresh produce in boxes. As mentioned above, whole pineapple for $1.29, I thought for sure this was a joke. No, not a joke. This was only the first deal I uncovered. A bag of almonds, $4.29. Mind blown. I proceeded to pick up a few odds and ends, a bag of salad, a peach, penguin feet (not real penguin feet, cheddar crackers), a snack size of almonds, and a bag of dried pineapple. Everything came to under $8. I felt like I was an extreme couponer, minus the coupons. They don't have everything, but if you want some good deals, this is the place to go. Aldi was super clean. It is barebones, so you need to come prepared, ie bringing your own bags, change for the cart, etc. Let me debunk their urban myths: 1. They do accept major credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay 2. No membership needed 3. You do need change for the cart, but once you return it you get it back 4. Yes, you have to pay for bags, .10 for a plastic bag and .7 for a paper bag. I most likely won't be doing my full fledged grocery shopping here, but I will definitely return when I need to buy snacks, cheese, fruit, etc. Checkout was super quick and pleasant. Pros: -Prices are below average, so you're getting a good deal -Store was clean -Customer Service was good -Variety of items Cons: -Paying for a bag (I know it'll encourage me to use the 801 reusable shopping bags I have in my house) -You May not be able to do your full fledged grocery shopping Tips: Bring your own bags and don't buy everything while you're here because it's a good deal....I may or may not be speaking from experience read more

I stopped by the Powell ALDI after a hot yoga class in the other side of the parking lot. Maybe this is a newer store, but it was really clean and bright, and weirdly not crowded at 11 AM on a Saturday. Don't forget your reusable bags and check out the cheese section. This particular store did have some of the products in multiple places, but different varieties, like ice cream and sparkling water. So in Aisle 1, they had lemon, but in Aisle 2, they had lemon and strawberry kind of thing. Anyway, Powell ALDI is a little out of my usual way, but it was a nice experience. read more

Love the great produce, dairy, meats and off brands. I've saved so much money here. It's also great if you need something quick for lunch; I usually grab one of their single serve salads. What I'm not a fan of - having to remember to bring in bags or the "quarter for a cart" system. Also, cashiers can be quite possessive about their checkout carts and won't give you a chance to roll it to the counter so you can offload and bag without making you feel like you are going to take off with the cart. I started shopping at Aldi, once I met my husband maybe 8 years ago. I had many biases at first and then really took the time to get to know what's inside the store with him. I also saw this location being built a year ago and thought to myself, when it opens, I have to go in there and try it out. I'm happy I did. The store is very well organized. Starting with the produce section when you arrive, onto the baked goods, and then dairy and meats, etc. What I like about Aldi is you don't pay much for quality food. While at Whole Foods, you pay for the brand, Aldi you pay a fraction of the price and can still get the organic vegetable or dairy item you're looking for. This location also happens to be very nice when it comes to customer service, they are always willing to help you before you reach the register. They will get you a box if you don't have a cart where you put that 25 cents in. Just super helpful staff committed to providing quality service to their customers. If I ever need something I don't want to pay full price for in other grocery stores I always come to Aldi. It's a name I can now trust for quality food at the fraction of the price. read more

Horrible customer services. Rude employees(with exceptions), worse manager, shouting a customer you don't understand and you are not listening several times when the one who needed to listen was him. I had the misconception that Aldi was a discount grocery store with limited choices and shady food. Boy, was I wrong! They are definitely a discount store, they don't have 15 different kinds of salsa on the shelves, and you have to bag your own groceries-but I consider those things a plus. I love the wide aisles that don't have cardboard promotional displays attacking you at every turn. My family is made up of meat eaters and vegetarians- I've found high quality meats and a surprising array of vegan and vegetarian fresh and frozen foods. My kids love the "quarter for a cart" concept-they think it's fun. read more

Shout-out to my favorite grocery store for all of the basics and even some specialty items. They always carry a wide selection of produce, and healthy - but affordable - options of many foods. The small store footprint allows the shopper to be in and out in 20 minutes with a full cart. The checkout process itself is unbelievably fast, even as their staff are careful in putting the perishable items into the cart. In the COVID-19 era, they have even dispensed with the usual quarter required to release the shopping cart, as all carts are pre-cleaned. read more

This Aldi is fairly new and has a good selection of organic produce. The store is clean and easy to navigate but it's hard to have a set shopping list because you never know for sure what you will find. Today I was looking for orzo and ended up getting a different pasta instead because they didn't have orzo. This doesn't mean that they won't have orzo some other time though, as their stock changes from week to week. The employees are friendly and super fast on checkout. Even if there is a long line, it only takes a few minutes to get through but you do have to bag your own groceries. Tip: bring a quarter for a cart and your own shopping bags. read more

Cannot get use to them throwing my food into the cart so they can ring at warp speed. I don't see why taking a second or two to set items in the cart and not bruise or damage them isn't a priority... never more than one live, you never know what they'll have, produce s usually one day from going bad , why would anyone shop here?? Best customer service I ever experienced from Aldi. I bought a wreath there last week that shattered to pieces and I told them about it just now (a week later) when I was shopping there but didn't have it with me and also not the receipt. Good selection and produce looks great 95% of the time. The only reason why they don't get 5 stars...because the majority of the time they throw your food in the cart. I mean do they really need to launch your items off the scanner crashing into the cart? read more
