So I went in and it was filled with old ladies getting their hair cut/permed/curled by other old ladies. My hairdresser however was younger (Named Celora, she gives amazing shampoo massages!) and she knew exactly what to do. After about 20 minutes my hair was exactly the right length and I was extremely happy. They do not take card, BUT they were more than happy to let me walk 5 mins down the street to get cash and come back. I can't believe they have that much faith in their customers! I will be coming back, even though it is an old lady salon.

Celora is the only person I will let touch my hair. But for the price, and the fact that Celora is very accomodating for me personally, I keep going back. The shop is an African owned shop so the type/texture of hair they do is limited, but me being Haitian American fit right in. I would give them 3 out of 5 stars. Well, I went in on a Tuesday afternoon and there were a few people there, but there was no wait for a walk-in. I got a fabulous wash, cut and dry and it was better quality AND lower price than L&L. I LOVE it! Will definitely go again. I love that I can walk here and I am supporting a small local business that's family friendly (the stylist had her teen/preteen daughter in the shop). If you need a haircut in Hyde Park, they do ALL hair! To the left of me in a chair was a black girl getting her hair relaxed and to the right of me was a Hispanic-looking woman getting a style.
