One of the worst encounters with an employee of Ghost Town Tours. I am just dumbfounded on how someone like this man could be working with the public, especially when your representing a little town like Jerome and you need the tourist to be satisfied and happy so they will come back. My story: Booked Haunted History tour online, said would send confirmation, never received but not really a big deal. I called the day before to get details, this guy was rude to me from the very start. He said just come and he already has me down, great. My granddaughter and I arrive at 9:15 am, I can't find where we are suppose to meet for the tour so I call, no one answers, I call again about 20 minutes to 10, no one answers and the recorder for the office hours is still on. We walk all around trying to find it. If anyone has been to Jerome before you know it's a lot of steep stairs and streets and it's exhausting. I call again, still no answer. I leave a message to please call me I mentioned in my message I was exhausted and needed to know where to go. He calls back at 9:58 and his first words are "WHERE ARE YOU! I was out of breath trying to tell him where I was and he immediately took defense and told me he didn't want me to be on his tour and he would refund my money. I said that wasn't necessary that I still wanted to go on the tour I just needed to catch my breath and I said I could wait until the 12:00 tour. Again he was like literally yelling at me in the phone said "NO" and hung up on me. I looked at my granddaughter in dismay, really didn't know what to do. I turned around and there behind me was the tour office so we went in. I said "are you the guy I spoke to?" Yes he said. I extended my hand to shake his and said it's a pleasure to meet you and told him my name and weI still wanted to go on the tour and he said no and he was yelling at me and cutting me off and wouldn't let me talk. Was saying things like "is this how you set an example for a young child", told me I was yelling at him, which I wasn't and never did, couldn't even talk because he was too busy smarting off and telling me what I should have done. He said I should know how to use my cell phone to find out where to go. Then he kicked us out of his office. I was in tears. Never have I been treated like this and I will never ever go back there again. I didn't get his name but he was tall and thin, dark hair, balding, maybe 40ish, and never shut up for 2 seconds, and so very rude. I hope people that work in the town read this review and those businesses who represent this tour agency will take action and find out who this guy is and do something about it. I noticed there is another review about a guy at the same place being rude. I'm sure it's the same person. Too bad for us too as we were really looking forward to the tour. Shame on him! read more
