We had self toured Jerome with our children 30 years ago and the town and area had grown quite a bit. Turns out, it was a slow day and we were the only two people on the Classic Jerome tour. We had been on small tours before and the guide went through the tour quickly and ended early. Not this Guide! Dave S. was a wonderful guide! He took extra time and care with us, a couple Seniors. He enthralled us with constant stories of surrounding towns and Jerome. He has amassed a great deal of knowledge having lived in the area since a small child and with various guide jobs over the years. He actually asked us what we were interested in and took care to allow us to take in the sights and pictures. And in Jerome, since my wife uses a walker, he dropped us off in front of the restaurant where we planned lunch, then picked us up just up the block. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and were very fortunate to choose Tours of Jerome and Dave.

The house feels like home. You can see the full size and mini jersey cows waiting for the day to start. Off in the distance there's a pond with fish. Once you make your way over to the ranch, you will find chickens wandering about, birds singing and the most adorable pygmy goats. Then there's a huge barn that makes the perfect setting for any special gathering. A bride to be's dream come true! The space is rustic and full of decoration possibilities. Whether you want your occasion to be elegant or straight out of a western movie or anything in between, it can happen at Rolling Raven Ranch. They also have events that you can attend without the whole stay experience. Look them up and stay connected for upcoming schedule. I will warn you though -you will want and need more. We have now stayed here three times in the last six months. Each time was a new and different experience. The first time there were other guests there for the event we were attending and that's when we made new friends. We have also brought family members, which included some of our grandchildren. We have made memories here that I know they will cherish forever. My next goal is a family reunion and then I hope and pray for one of my adult children to have a wedding at this most heavenly place. It's great that they pick you up and drop you off at your hotel so you can drink responsibly! Keith has some great humor and history of Sedona on the way to each winery keeping things fun and interesting. We went to Alcantara, Page Springs, Javalina Leap (where we had our picnic) and Oak Creek wineries. Such a great wine tour which we got a great deal on Groupon. We could not even check in to that motel for the lack of customer service! AT the second place we found , we got checked and it looked clean. But had a bad ant problem and we were bit all NIGHT. Third time is the charm! The customer service here at CREEKSIDE LODGE and CABINS was amazing! She heard my frustration, she listened to my woes, she had me checked in to a clean spacious cabin in no time. The rustic room was clean and comfortable, with all the things we needed! The outside deck is the perfect place for morning coffee, or late night night cap! To top it off we had dinner with a large group at the on site restaurant. The service was wonderful, Ava was so sweet tending to each persons order just like your best friend would. The food was great! I had a burger that was out of this world. My husband had the all you could eat fish, he was not disappointed. All the while it seemed locals and guests alike were enjoying the bar and pool tables. The sign showed live music and karaoke nights, both on the outside patio and inside it the spacious dinning room. I know I have gone on and on, but for us it was just the best place. I sweet place in an unexpected place. FIVE out of FIVE!
