Awesome pizzas. Great crust. The pepperoni is super tasty. Online ordering and pickup make it a must if you're staying in pacific city.

The building is full of…read morelight and has one wall with the boards from board game for wallpaper which is a lot of fun to check out. Their pizza is really good with a flavorful sauce that isn't sweet and the perfect amount of toppings with a homemade crust. That being said We have decided we will only order pizza at Megs from here on out, as everything else we've tried (except the tots) just don't work for us. We've tried the Italian sub my hubby liked it but they grilled it and he's not a fan of hot subs, the meatloaf sandwich which was meatloaf shaped in a patty and fried like a burger (not great and one end wasn't completely cooked) the Caesar wrap which had too much dressing and was grilled so the lettuce inside was warm, limp and disgusting, the Philly steak and cheese sandwich was not shaved meat but appeared to be the parts you trim off and throw away, not one bite of meat I wanted to eat, big fatty chunks, grissly and a weird texture with only very few slices of pepper and onion (I took the bun off and looked because I couldn't bite through a single piece of meat after the third bite and wanted to see what it looked like). We have not tried the burgers but the pizzas are good and the desserts are fabulous. The service is hit and miss. Sometimes there are 2 people "working" but you have to go to the bar to order as they stand behind it and chat, sometimes it's one person and they handle everything fine (with the same amount of customers). When we are at the beach we are just chillin most of the time so it's not a problem we are just never sure if we are supposed to self serve or wait for a server. But If you are in Pacific City and want a good pizza with homemade crust Megs is your place and if you have a sweet tooth the pastry cooler will provide the perfect treat to finish or start your day at the beach!

We've visited Beach Wok a few times over the years, and each time we've found it to be fresh and of good quality. However, on our most recent visit, we discovered that half of our dishes were dry and partially inedible. The main issue with our to-go order was the ribs. For my kids, I ordered the BBQ ribs. At least half were too dry and tough to eat without posing a choking risk. For myself, I placed an order for the gluten-free sweet and sour ribs. Mine were at least 3/4 too dry to eat, to the point I was trying to drink water while chewing in order to get the meat soft enough to swallow. It just wasn't worth the risk or pain in my jaw so I ended up throwing away most of the two rib orders. My husband's fish and chips were fine, as well as the cucumber salad, edamame, and a grilled cheese I also ordered for the kids. I was planning on ordering from Beach Wok a second night, but with the prices as high as they are and our bad experience a few nights earlier, I decided against it. I'm undecided if we'll be returning to Beach Wok again. 2026 #1

They have many other items besides Thai food. The YS selected chicken tacos which came with a side salad. The side salad was as big as a lot of salads you have for a meal. My portions on the pad Thai were very big as well. We took these leftovers and had them for dinner also. The service was quick and friendly. They have a small space but they also have covered outdoor seating as well. They were doing a brisk take out business when we were there for lunch on a weekday. All in all a solid meal and then some. I look forward to a return trip in the near future.

In fact, it was one of the most memorable stories I've heard all year from a long-time local. You see, in its current form, Marzano's operates solely as a take away pizza place several evenings a week. But, years ago, this location included a dining room. Imagine, if you will, a foggy night on the coast, off season, and you bring your family to Marzano's and order a bottle of wine to share with your partner and some Garlic Cheese Bread for the table to nibble on while your pizza bakes. When the pizza arrives hot from the oven and your cheeks are rosy as you are surrounded by the aroma and witness the cheese still bubbling as the mighty pie is delivered to your table. Hot pizza on a cold night is a magical thing. I've been a regular customer for the past year and have settled on the Combo Traditional as my favorite pie. Three sizes available (10, 14, and 18 inches) and slices on the large pizza are significant, so I recommend you have them double cut. They have a prime location only a couple blocks from the beach, so parking can be a bit of a challenge in the summer, but they do have short term parking out front. Now, one last tip from a semi-local... they don't accept timed orders. So it is a bit of a learning process to figure out when to order starting at 4:00p, since the wait can be anywhere from 20 minutes to 2-1/2 hours based on the day of the week and a few other factors. But, it is one of our favorite dinners in town if we time it right. I just can't help but wish I got to experience the Marzano's dining room on one of those long ago foggy nights.

We started with the Focaccia plate with olive oil w/seasonings sprinkled on top. The focaccia was amazing but I really missed the traditional olive oil & basalmic vinegar. With just the oil for dipping, it was pretty blah, IMHO. Hubby ordered the Spaghetti & 3 large Meatballs that were about 2" diameter. I ordered the Creste de Gallo ala Vodka w/sausage. BOTH were delicious but after my first 2 bites, my mouth was on fire. I'm a real wimp when it comes to hot spicy foods :( so it was no one's fault but mine (It would be nice though if they would put little peppers next to the spicier dishes). But once again, Hubby rescued me and made me trade dishes with him. Sorella's is clean, the staff is friendly & efficient. We also like the rustic vibe with artwork reflecting the ocean. But, it is STILL our favorite place in Newport!

Typically, we eat seafood while at the beach, but we decided to switch it up with wood-fired pizza and craft cocktails. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated. The wood-fire pizza oven is gorgeous, and the gold-accented octagon tile, antique furniture, and rustic wood floors really warm up the space. The menu is small but offers a great variety of both classic and unique pizza options. We also loved the appetizer and salad selections. My mouth was watering to try the focaccia bread with olive oil, but my husband reminded me I'd already promised him clam chowder elsewhere! Our server was friendly and prompt. Since this is a small space that seats about 20-25 people, a waitline is a common occurrence, yet we never felt rushed. We visited during Happy Hour (3-5 PM), where the Margherita pizzas are only $15--which was perfect for us. We also ordered a Double Oaked Old Fashioned and a gin gimlet. It's so much fun to watch the chefs spinning the dough and sliding pizzas into the oven. Our pizza was delicious and the drinks were tasty. It was a great experience, and we will definitely be back!
