That being said We have decided we will only order pizza at Megs from here on out, as everything else we've tried (except the tots) just don't work for us. We've tried the Italian sub my hubby liked it but they grilled it and he's not a fan of hot subs, the meatloaf sandwich which was meatloaf shaped in a patty and fried like a burger (not great and one end wasn't completely cooked) the Caesar wrap which had too much dressing and was grilled so the lettuce inside was warm, limp and disgusting, the Philly steak and cheese sandwich was not shaved meat but appeared to be the parts you trim off and throw away, not one bite of meat I wanted to eat, big fatty chunks, grissly and a weird texture with only very few slices of pepper and onion (I took the bun off and looked because I couldn't bite through a single piece of meat after the third bite and wanted to see what it looked like). We have not tried the burgers but the pizzas are good and the desserts are fabulous. The service is hit and miss. Sometimes there are 2 people "working" but you have to go to the bar to order as they stand behind it and chat, sometimes it's one person and they handle everything fine (with the same amount of customers). When we are at the beach we are just chillin most of the time so it's not a problem we are just never sure if we are supposed to self serve or wait for a server. But If you are in Pacific City and want a good pizza with homemade crust Megs is your place and if you have a sweet tooth the pastry cooler will provide the perfect treat to finish or start your day at the beach!

At least half were too dry and tough to eat without posing a choking risk. For myself, I placed an order for the gluten-free sweet and sour ribs. Mine were at least 3/4 too dry to eat, to the point I was trying to drink water while chewing in order to get the meat soft enough to swallow. It just wasn't worth the risk or pain in my jaw so I ended up throwing away most of the two rib orders. My husband's fish and chips were fine, as well as the cucumber salad, edamame, and a grilled cheese I also ordered for the kids. You see, in its current form, Marzano's operates solely as a take away pizza place several evenings a week. But, years ago, this location included a dining room. Imagine, if you will, a foggy night on the coast, off season, and you bring your family to Marzano's and order a bottle of wine to share with your partner and some Garlic Cheese Bread for the table to nibble on while your pizza bakes. When the pizza arrives hot from the oven and your cheeks are rosy as you are surrounded by the aroma and witness the cheese still bubbling as the mighty pie is delivered to your table. Hot pizza on a cold night is a magical thing. I've been a regular customer for the past year and have settled on the Combo Traditional as my favorite pie. Three sizes available (10, 14, and 18 inches) and slices on the large pizza are significant, so I recommend you have them double cut. They have a prime location only a couple blocks from the beach, so parking can be a bit of a challenge in the summer, but they do have short term parking out front. Now, one last tip from a semi-local... they don't accept timed orders. So it is a bit of a learning process to figure out when to order starting at 4:00p, since the wait can be anywhere from 20 minutes to 2-1/2 hours based on the day of the week and a few other factors.
