Ghost and his team are great to work with. They found me 2 cars I liked and they backed them up from a service perspective too.

I pkaced my order at 3:24 PM and it was ready to be picked up my 3:34 PM! I headed over and when I arrived, I checked in on the app and it was updated with a button to indicate that I'm in line. We shopped for some phone accessories but didn't find anything we wanted. So we made our way to the pickup line. We were greeted immediately and I mentioned that I was picking up an order. The cashier scanned my phone and quickly pulled my order. I checked it and it was exactly what I ordered. The cashier said thanks for the order and we were on our way out. Overall, the service was the winner here. Staff was friendly and the item I purchased was $100 off where every other store I checked online had it for regular price. I highly recommend buying from this location as the staff is quick to gather your online order and they are very nice at this store.

I was initially directed to the Apple area. Two employees were working there with other customers - no problem. They disappeared after a bit, seemingly with those customers. About ten minutes of waiting later, hoping someone would be ready, I found both employees at the Microsoft area. No one had been available in the Apple area for that long - it seems understaffed. Someone in sales worked with me and was largely informative. The process wasn't inefficient; buying a new piece of technology takes time. Even so, it got a bit frustrating when two errors came up. First, upon transferring me over to the Geek Squad section, so I could have them transfer the data and assess the resale value, the first error came through: The transfer was said to be $40, but the woman at GS told him me was mistaken, and that it's $40 to transfer data between phones but $90 for computers to do so. I will give them credit for the high resale value of my old computer - Apple's online estimator gave me a paltry $35, whereas Best Buy assessed it to about $150. Still, the process of figuring out whether or not I could apply that directly to the bill, had to do a store credit, etc., was something the employees had to ask multiple other people about. It is OK to do that, of course, but it felt inefficient to this degree. As the GS employee looked through my computer, she mentioned that they'd have the new computer ready (with the data transfer) within 24-48 hours. I was very surprised! I politely mentioned that no one had told me that it would be an "overnight" thing - taking some time was anticipated, but overnight or even 2 days?! She was surprised I hadn't been told yet. Sales very much should've mentioned this, and there should be more coordination between teams. I wound up leaving it overnight, especially since my old computer already got the resale value assessed and needed to be there. It was ready pretty early the next day, which is good, but this was overall frustrating. Not as important, but they love to have 2-3 loud songs all playing at the same time. It is one thing to have different songs in different areas of a large store, but this was all quite close together, in terms of where the sound was coming from, and it was jarring and annoying. EDIT: I forgot to add...they have roving salespeople from AT&T who make eye contact with you while you're waiting around and then take advantage of your kindness. I find this process frustrating, similar to people with clipboards trying to get you to sign something. It is intrusive and tacky. I don't know why they allow this.

After reading all the lousy reviews I was a bit hesitant to consult the Geek Squad in Arlington…read moreHeights, but I'm pleased to report that they did a great job with 2 separate (PC desktop and laptop) services, one of which was fairly challenging. What an experience first off we bought an open box item I'll be upfront and honest about that. It's…read morean excellent condition and it's an 85 inch Roku TV. When we got to the store, it started off by checking us out, and the sales associate scanned and gave us the wrong TV to load into our car Thank goodness the mistake was noticed and another representative helped us to take the TV to our vehicle as well as helping us load it The entire thing was wrapped in bubble wrap because it was an open box item, and it said all parts and accessories were included. Let me Keynote that it said all parts include included. Due to it being wrapped in bubble wrap and not wanting to unwrap it and check because we're moving it and the wrapping helps keep it protected. We did not notice until getting home, but it was missing the Roku remote. Now, if this Best Buy was our local Best Buy, it would not be that big of a problem to drive back and get the remote but unfortunately it's not our local Best Buy as we drove an hour and 45 minutes to retrieve this TV There is no way that it makes sense to return to the store for a seven dollar remote. You can get two of the remotes for nine dollars on Amazon just to retrieve the missing remote. So we called right after we realized this happened and we were told by a customer service representative you could go to any Best Buy and pick up that remote and they'll give it to us for free Low and behold, we go the next morning cause it was late night when we realized it and the local Best Buy, which is a mile away refused to give us the inexpensive Roku remote So we did the next logical thing we called back the the store we bought it from only to realize that Best Buy has no phone numbers that go to the actual store. It goes to an Indian call center. We spent 45 minutes on the phone. We even tried to get a supervisor which we were refused to get a supervisor and finally got a hold of a supervisor and every single representative said there's nothing that they can do because it was an open box item. I was extremely clear to let them know that this open box item they stated that all accessories and parts were included. It was clearly printed online as well as on the label that was on the TV that was wrapped in bubble wrap. So now we have a TV that is missing a remote and the only way to get this seven dollar remote is to return to the original Best Buy and waste $25 in gasoline to retrieve the seven dollar remote. Needless to say that is not happening I will order the remote on Amazon have it delivered to my house for $9.74 and it's delivered the same day. Today AMAZON wins for customer service not Best Buy Sadly, Best Buy loses on all accounts. I don't think I'll be able to shop at Best Buy ever again even though they have gotten my business they have a credit card in my name and I do like some of the perks that they have but not enough to deal with the lack of customer service that this has caused. So make sure you don't pay attention to what the writing says when everything is included and all accessories are there because it most likely is not true and there's nothing that they can do about it apparently You'll have yourself a fine and beautiful day and I hope this review helps sway your decision towards the failing company that Best Buy has become

A lot of stuff here are brands I've never heard of, but you can find brand name stuff here (Apple, Belkin, Targus, JBL, etc). We came here to buy an external hard drive after the current one decided to die. When we asked an employee (I think his name was Hector), about whether or not the particular hard drive we were looking at would be right for its intended use, he was able to answer our questions. When we checked out, the cashier asked us a bunch of questions about what we were buying and if we had any questions. We asked her about protecting devices from static electricity, and she didn't have a clue about anything beyond scanning purchases and pushing the extended warranty plans. If you have questions about items here, just ask one of the employees...not a cashier. Overall, this is a nice clean store. Don't expect to find everything you're looking for. But if you need basic accessories and gaming stuff, this place has all of that.

I chose them over Apple Store ($89) to save the hassle of North/Clybourn. But, when I arrived they said the first step was $49 for "diagnostics" to see if my phone was eligible for a battery replacement which would take an hour, and then they would see if the they had the battery in stock. So, the $110 repair appointment was going to cost $159. I never would have made this appointment if they had been truthful about the price up front. I told the associate that it sounded like a bait-switch rip off to me and that they should honor our agreement; he told me "well, you made the appointment here not the Apple Store". So, it's MY fault for scheduling service at a disreputable business. Noted. Won't make the mistake again. By the way, the "diagnostics" is free at Apple Store and it's just a program that runs on your phone in a few minutes.

After answering question after question and really listening to my responses, Dave set me up with an incredible system. He matched a McIntosh integrated amp with a pair of Dali Epicon speakers and a REL subwoofer. He came out to the house, set-up the entire thing and even corrected errors on my video system. The results were incredible. I could not be happier with the component choices and the musicality of the system. It has a great sound stage. Daves interest, attention and willingness to take the time to explain things are second to none. This is the only place to go when shopping for high-end audio equipment.

He noticed that Simply Stereo was listed on Salamander's website as a premier dealer. He sent an email inquiring about coming in to see some items in person, and we headed there on Saturday afternoon. We were greeted right away by Dave, who was helping a customer carry something out to their car. When he came back in, he listened to what we were there for and showed us upstairs to one of the listening rooms. He patiently answered approximately five million questions from my husband and, as luck would have it, what they had on display almost exactly matched what we were looking for. They were able to to get fiddly with the details of what looking at side panel options and determining how the tv mount connects. It was a no brainer to make our purchase from Simply Stereo. The price was excellent and the customer service was top notch. From the email through purchase, it was a great experience and we'll definitely be back in the future - I think a few speakers caught my husband's eye while we were wandering the store.

However, in the recent couple of years, I don't know what is wrong with their customer service department. It used to be friendly, polite, and competent. Now, their customer service, especially some of their managers, who are arrogant and unaccommodating, could easily ruin the whole shopping experience. Recently, a couple days before Christmas, my good shopping experience was ruined by the middle-age female staff, named Luba, at the self-checkout stations. Then it was further worsened by her manager Alex. When there was a discrepancy between the scanned price and the price listed on the rack, Luba refused to ask someone to verify the price or honor the posted price. Instead, she insisted the scanned price must be correct and told me that if I did not like the price, I did not have to buy the item. To avoid wasting time, I chose not to purchase one item and paid the higher price for another. At the end, I was supposed to get a gift card from a deal. Nowadays, for security reason, Target would need their staff to put a sticker on the gift card, then scan it to link it to my account. However, after Luba put the sticker on the gift card, she didn't know what to do. She kept scanning the gift card as if I was using it for the transaction. Her action made the purchase system acting weird. Then she questioned if I was eligible for the gift card, and got her boss to help. Her boss was Alex. I had dealt with him numerous of times. He never smiles, acting in a condescending way, had never accommodated. This time, he said that the system had stopped working, and he had to void the whole transaction and re-scan everything. Needless to say, I was not happy. I said it's wasting my time. Then he responded by saying "it's wasting my time too"! I said he got paid for it. The he mumbled something. What kind of attitude was that? He was the customer service manager who needed to correct the mistake made by his staff. When I said the female staff didn't know what she was doing, he dismissed it by saying that Luba usually does not work in that area. That explanation is unacceptable, she was assigned to assist customers at self-checkout and should have been properly trained. It would have been fine if both of them just apologized for my inconvenience, but neither of them did that. No sorry, no thank you, Target really need to re-train their customer service staff of the Glenview store to understand what good customer service is.
