Lots of food for a nice price. Wish they had put less oil and more veggies. Tasted nice on the go. I like how the service went fairly quick though.

Ownership definitely has changed from older reviews I've read cuz my boyfriend loves this place: workers are so nice and friendly and the food quality is great! And they're not stingy in the seasoning (especially if you ask for more). I definitely think you get your money's worth of food too.

Mongolian BBQ Noodles

Always saw this place at Westminster Mall but never tried it until now. I had noodles with veggies, beef, and some sauce. It was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff is pretty nice too. Definitely coming back for more!

check your bank statements! i went in for lunch on tuesday and spent $14 on the meal. come to find out, in my bank statement they overcharged me at $214.32. what the f.u.c.k. is that???? how the f.u.c.k. do you make that mistake?!?!???? $14 to $214.32. what the f.u.c.k.? i definitely did not spend $214.32 for a meal. ridiculous. now because it's a holiday, i can't call my bank to reverse the charge. f.u.c.k. this establishment.

This requires extra noodle for an added $1.95! Rip off!

Don't spend your hard earned money at this place! It's $9.25 a bowl and this wouldn't be a bad price but we were told that because we had too many ingredients our noodle portion would diminish. Noodles were less than half. I also suspect their serving bowl has gotten smaller. Extra noodle is $1.95 so I consider this not worth it.

This is not how the meat should look at a Gengis Khan. Absolutely disgusting.

My boyfriend and I made the mistake of paying for our meal before checking out the meat and veggies. PLEASE look at their food before you decide to eat here. I have been to other Gengis Khans located at other malls. This one has to be the worst I have ever laid my eyes on. All of the meat had FREEZER burn on it. You can literally see ice bits all over the meat. When I took a first glance at the meat, my stomach became uneasy. It was too late to get a refund and we didn't pay with cash. My boyfriend went ahead and made our bowl as I was watching with anxiety. I was praying that we wouldn't get sick after eating here. The veggies were just as bad as the meat, it was not fresh at all. The guy who cooked our food didn't wash his bands before cooking our food on the grill. Gross. As he was cooking our food, he constantly had to pour water on top of it for it to cook. I've never seen that before and then it made sense because the meat was so frozen!!! When we received our food I honestly was scared to eat it. It tasted meh, the quality and texture of the meat was weird to say the least. It tasted like cheap expired meat. The veggies tasted like it was spoiled. Overall it was not worth the $12.35 that we paid for the combo. I would honestly recommend not coming here, the place has an unsanitary feel to it. I seriously should have read reviews prior or at least checked our their items. Welp, lesson learned for Yelp! PS I will upload pics of the meat so you can see.

Mongolian BBQ Plate ($9.25)

Mall food! BF and I usually share a plate since we can never finish one on our own anyway. So I've seen youtube videos on how to stack your bowl to get your money's worth. Use the meat as your wall and line the bowl. Then fill each hole from the rolled up frozen meat with the vegetables! They have your typical types of meat like beef, chicken, and pork. They had an okay variety of vegetables though, but they didn't have mushrooms! How could you not have mushrooms... So a plate is around $9.25. We got ours with beef, carrots, onions, bell pepper, water chestnut, and pineapples. Beef was super dry and everything else was undercooked. Could have used some more seasoning as well since I couldn't really taste any of the sauces that they put on top. They do have soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and hot sauce for you to add though. Service wasn't a problem for us. No one was there when we got there, but they came right out when they saw us looking at the menu and got to cooking it right when we were done stacking our bowl.

Small portion to a point it's unacceptable. Brea mall is much better, larger portion just need to drive a bit, but worth it.

Gỏi Đu Đủ (Papaya Salad, Vietnamese Style): 4.3/5 Their papaya salad is a fun twist on the traditional version. Instead of dried shrimp and fish sauce, they use vinegar, soy sauce, and tamarind. It gives the dish a lighter, sweet-and-sour vibe that's still really refreshing. Cá Kho Tộ (Braised "Fish" in Clay Pot): 4.5/5 Flavor-wise, this was my favorite. The sauce is rich and savory--perfect with rice and steamed veggies. The only downside is that the portion is a bit small for the price, but the taste definitely delivers. It actually reminded me a little of kho quẹt, which I loved. One thing that gave me pause was an odd incident in the restroom--there was a man inside the women's room. Not sure if it was an honest mistake or something else, but it did make me a little more aware of my surroundings. Nothing to do with the restaurant itself, but worth noting for safety.

Arrived 1pm Sunday with a party of five & it was absolutely packed. Waited about 25 minutes to be seated. Service: 4/5 The front door hostess was a bit abrupt when calling out names, but once seated, we were able to order quickly, within 5 minutes. Our waiter was friendly and provided solid recommendations when we asked. Interior: 5/5 The decor is beautifully themed with Buddhist aesthetics, giving the space a temple-like vibe. The restaurant was also very clean. Food: The menu is vegetarian and Buddhist-friendly, with options to request dishes without onions or garlic. Food arrived quickly within 5 minutes of ordering. Malaysian Fried Rice (5/5): Packed with flavor and complemented by crispy "meat." Not spicy, but delicious. Beef Pho (4/5): The broth had a great depth of flavor, with mushrooms serving as the main topping. Spring Rolls (4/5): Crunchy, flavorful, and paired with a fish sauce substitute that tasted impressively close to the real thing. The only minor issue I had is the single bathroom stall, which could lead to a long wait during busy hours.

It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon! We came in around 12ish and we were able to get a table. Everything smelled so good and hearing the sizzling plates come by made me even more excited! We got 4 dishes: bun bo hue, mi xao mem, nem nuong cuong, and their fried tofu Bun Bo Hue: Great clean flavor! A little bland but nothing like adding their chili oil that fixed it! Once I added that in it was so good, I love it! Mi Xai Mem: Their fried noodle; this came on a sizzling plate with a great sauce. UGH so good, my fiance did right by ordering this, I had to have a small bowl of it too because of how flavorful it was! The veggies had the slight crisp so you can tell it's fresh! Nem nuong cuong: Great spring roll that has a little crunch in it! I love the sauce it came with for dipping! A nice nutty taste, but my fiance wished they added some chopped peanuts in it! (Can't blame him, he's had my sauce with peanuts in it so he thinks it's the norm!) But it would add another level to it! Fried Tofu: wow, not sure how they did it but they managed to fry the soft tofu and it's so good! It comes with a spicy soy sauce dipping sauce and with it being freshly cooked right before it came out it was nice and hot! But it does break apart after the first few bites so be aware so it doesn't fall all over you! I would so come back if we're ever in the area!
