Fluffy had a concrete floor poured and contracted GFC to apply the finish. I unfortunately paid cash before a thorough inspection which revealed all kinds of errors such as the black primer visible through the final finish. The floor isn't level and the 90% gold/10% silver additive is just blobs of color mixed with blobs of black. Nothing could be done, of course, but I'd never recommend GFC. The actual floor itself is solid. read more

They left my garage floors in a state where it damages the bottom of my socks when I walk on it. When I said that to abbey the sales manager, she said this "I suggest you wear shoes". I'm not happy with the results of the floor coating. Color is not consistent. It looks like there are stains in the coating, lighter coloring. Wondering how it will last long term. Had BJ, manager, come look at it. He said it's not perfect but acceptable. Acceptable to whom? Not me, and I'm the customer. Driveway outside of garage has flakes all over it. No clean up. I'm having a storage room done in my basement just not by GFC. read more

To us, the coating of the garage floor was a good investment. The workmanship was high-quality and the communication from the office and the team was excellent about date, time of arrival, completion and follow up. The only minor complaint that we had was they could have done a better job blowing out all of the flaky remnants. We found the remnants had blown into high locations in the garage and into the house. Otherwise, this was an outstanding company to work with and we are pleased with the product. read more

We have had two very positive experiences with our garage floor coating; however, we had an experience with GFC installing a garage door screen door. The project should have taken a couple of hours. Instead the installers were there for 5+ hours the first day and did not complete it. He then explained that he could come back tomorrow (we were unable to park in our garage at this point) IF he could get it done by 3 because he had another job to go to after that. The next day he came and was there for several hours. He then began showing my husband how to raise the door. However, he neglected to add bolts to keep the door on the track, so it fell on my husband. Now, the entire door is aluminum framed the size of a two car garage door and weighs about 150 pounds or so. It fell on my husband's upper back/lower neck from about two feet above him. So, it was quite the hit and caused bruising and pain for my husband. The installer then explained that safety bolts didn't come with the door but he might find something in his truck to use. Which he did. Now, my husband is a tough guy. He wasn't knocked down, but was in shock and pain. When I saw the bruise, I called the salesman at GFC. She made a comment that "she didn't realize the door weighed that much." Seriously! He could have been hit on top of the head and knocked out. It might not have happened until we had family at our house and it fell on a child. Like the fact that she didn't realize how serious this could have been just took my aback. So, on top of the hit to the back, the door was awful. The screen was not at all tight. It looked as if children had been pushing on it. There was a gap where it met the top of the garage where bugs could still get in. The salesman came out to look and agree that it was poorly installed. She said they would send someone to fix it. My husband told her fine waiting for a while, BUT wanted to know when this would happen for planning purposes. After two weeks, we heard nothing. He called and ask them to just remove it all together. So, several weeks later, she emailed me and asked if they could remove it on a certain day and certain time frame. I replied that that time and day would work. So, we waiting. and waited. No show. I emailed her and she apologized (again) and said she never received my response and therefore did not have the guy coming to remove it after all. After we rearranged out schedules again. and waited. again. I'm just so disappointed in the customer service. It's been months since the install and the door still hangs in our garage. Now the salesman did tell me they fired the person that GFC contracted to do the job (the one that pushed the door onto my husband)...which by the way, my goal is never to have someone lose their jobs...But bottom line is I hired GFC. They continue to blame the contractor. I didn't hire the contractor. I hired GFC. My advice to future customers is to hold GFC to the fire with hiring licensed and bonded contractors to represent them. Also, ensure the safety bolts are in place because GFC is not very concerned about the safety of their customers. Or at least in our case they were not. Thank you. read more
