I gave it a try but I think my expectation of the pastry for the roll was not meet. I think I had in mind of a light croissant like filled roll. I had the following; the pick 3 which was the soul roll, side chick, corner boy. And then there was the sweet tooth which consisted of 3 dessert rolls. I is a unique concept. Give it a try.

I've been wanting to try this place for soooooooo long now! I'm glad I was finally able to try it! Because I wasn't able to pick one I decided to order the Pick 3 which allows you to pick 3 different rolls. I picked Tha Soul Roll, the hot shot and under the sea. My favorite was under the sea which has spinach, shrimp , lump crab and cheese I believe! It was the perfect combination! Followed by the hot shot which reminded me of shredded buffalo chicken dip or mix. It was not too hot and was good. Tha soul roll was my third choice, I wanted to deconstruct it and eat my yams and macaroni together and eat my greens separate like I normally do! Combining them all richer isn't my usual favorite! My friend also ordered the peach cobbler roll, the cheesecake peach cobbler was sweet while the normal peach cobbler roll was less sweet.

This place popped up on my Instagram randomly one day and I had an opportunity to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I make these kinds of egg-rolls at home often but I don't always feel like making them. These were super good so now I have a place to come when I'm feeling lazy but want that at home taste. Yayyyyy! I got 3 egg rolls to start. The buffalo chicken, the fresh prince aka the Philly cheesesteak (their seasonal menu item), and the soul roll without yams. First and foremost, ALL the egg rolls were hot fresh and crispy. Okay now for the reviews: The buffalo chicken was great! It comes with a Buffalo ranch sauce which was a simple yet perfect accompaniment. It was creamy, flavorful and had a slight kick. 10/10 The Fresh Prince, I didn't enjoy as much. But I give grace because Philly cheesesteak eggrolls are hard to make (speaking from experience). I was missing peppers, onions and that creaminess that makes a Philly, a Philly. It just tasted like dry steak meat and shredded cheese. I hope they play around with the ingredients on that one more before they bring it back. 6/10 The soul roll? 10/10. I was shook!!! The greens were great. The mac and cheese was actually so good! I would eat it as a standalone. And the turkey meat from the greens came in handy because I didn't get yams in mine. You can order either a hot honey sauce or hot sauce with it. I got the hot honey and it set the whole thing off! It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I think about this one often. Lastly, I got the roll aid, which was a cherry koolaid and it actually stole the show lol. It was sooooo so good! I haven't had koolaid in a minute, let alone one that good in a while. Add it to your order. It's worth the extra $3-$4. I look forward to returning! What I like about this place is that they have different flavors every month in addition to their staples. So I am eager to try what else they have to offer. This place is a ghost kitchen so you go in and pick up your food in an assigned locker. While you wait for your food there are some indoor and outdoor seats and a tv to watch. My order took a little longer, but it's because the owners realized that they gave me the soul roll with yams and took it back before I could get it to ensure I had the correct order, which I appreciated. Give this business a try!

I've been several times and it never disappoints! The mixed savory soul rolls are always freshly made, hot, and full of flavor. Definitely a must try spot if you're craving something satisfying! * ghost kitchen so you don't see anybody so you don't see how food is prepped but I keep going back!

I recently tried the egg rolls here, and I have to say, they were genuinely delicious. The quality and flavor was good. However, the pricing is completely out of line. We paid $20 for just three egg rolls, which is way over market price and completely excessive, Unfortunately, because of the pricing, I will not be returning.

Hot Shot, Tha Soul Roll, Collard Green Egg Roll, Holiday Roll, Tha Yankee, tha Peaches and Dream, Miss Peaches, I forgot the last roll.

Just to the right of the sign were two Level 2 chargers. We each ordered two 2 meat plates, which included two sides. When we got home and opened the to-go boxes, we realized we had WAY over-ordered. We had enough for two meals for each of us! We had chicken and pork ribs, mac & cheese and flat green beans. It was very tasty with a sweet and spicy barbecue sauce. I spoke with the owner and thanked him for supporting EVs, to which he replied, "How could I not? It's what's coming. How could I not get on board?" He mentioned that quite a few of his customers found him on Plugshare.com and stop by regularly for a meal and charge. I had to Google "So mote it be."

What happened today was unacceptable from the moment we walked in. The place was visibly dirty and completely unappetizing. The back area was mostly hidden behind what looked like a shower curtain, which did nothing to inspire confidence. There appeared to be only one man working, and he came out only a few times during the entire 45 minutes we waited. Even more concerning, there was a child who looked to be about eight or nine years old wearing latex gloves and repeatedly coming out to the front, apparently helping with restaurant tasks that no child should be doing. Despite having prepaid through Too Good To Go, no one acknowledged us for nearly 10 minutes. We stood in a hot dining room with almost no air conditioning while the child wandered in and out and the adult remained behind the curtain. More people arrived behind us, also with prepaid orders, until there were about 10 people waiting. We watched three other customers receive their food before us. One was a DoorDash driver, which made sense, and one woman had arrived before us. However, another woman with a very small order was served ahead of us even though she arrived after we did. When the man finally came out, we showed him our Too Good To Go order. He swiped the app, marking our order as picked up, then disappeared behind the curtain again and never returned with our food. After waiting 45 minutes in a sweltering dining room on a nearly 100-degree Texas day, we gave up. We left without the food we had already paid for. At that point, losing the cost of the meal was preferable to staying in that environment any longer. This was one of the worst pickup experiences I have ever had. Between the unsanitary conditions, the lack of staff, the presence of a child apparently performing restaurant tasks, the complete absence of customer service, and the fact that we never even received the order we had already paid for, I can say with complete confidence: We will never return.

Just very sweet especially drinking their half gallon "Mystery" juice which was good, but also pretty diabetes sweet. I tried my best to get the mystery ingredients from one of the cashiers, but she held strong lol. My husband liked them but I thought they tasted heavily of bbq sauce. We all tried a side of spaghetti and it was good as well. We had the pleasure of meeting Nana herself. Me and my mom enjoyed speaking with her. She was pleasant and friendly. I loved how she was very down to earth. My mom took a photo with her. My server was the sweetest and most polite person. She checked on me and my mom multiple times. She was friendly and helpful. So I must say my service was welcoming and AMAZING! I felt like part of the family! Now it's not a fancy place, but it was clean and cozy. Like a mom and pops place. Condiments are provided on the table. Even roses that were real are in a vase. You can dine in or they have a carry out side. Well I chose fish since that's what I wanted. The 2 piece filet meal comes with 2 sides. They will bring your food out in a plastic container. So if you have left overs it's already set to go. The food came out hot and fresh. The fish was fried nicely. I wish it was seasoned a bit more for my liking. It was pretty good though. It was a great size and again fried to perfection. The hush puppies were really tasty. The fried corn fritter was delicious. The pickled tartar sauce was unique and I loved it. OMG the cabbage was so DAMN GOOD! This stole the show. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned with love. It touched my soul and I wanted to lick my container. The Mac and Cheese was a NO for me. It was like black pepper and cheese sauce. It was just blah and II didn't even eat it. However, others may like it, but it wasn't that great. Sorry Nana! Overall I had a good visit! I will definitely come back and EAT when in the area. The cabbage won me over. I left feeling happy and full. The southern hospitality was FANTASTIC!
