The owner was totally knowledgeable about my motorcycle and most importantly, he didn't talk at me like a Harley dealer employee. After discussing my intentions he gave me some great personal advice that I thankfully accepted. A few months ago Months ago I called Kurt about doing some restorations and improvements to my 1997 Heritage Softail Classic. I went to Peewee's to have my primary chain and fluids checked and/or replaced. While we were discussing things I decided to have the tanks and fenders removed and painted. Kurt knew an auto body shop that he sends his customers to and gave me the name which I called and visited to discuss my plans. The auto body shop (Euroclass) was about five miles away in Wanaque. I sat with the owner and we both came to a decision to change my Black/Grey colors to a Root Beer color. While we were discussing the process he also advised me that putting a black base coat would dampen the orange pigment in the paint to slightly darken the color which I agreed with. Later that week I decided to have some metal parts of the motorcycle Chrome Plated and again gave me a reference of a chrome plater in Newark, NJ. After calling the business in Newark, the owner was very polite and informative with some consideration about simply polishing the parts but I chase to have them chromed instead. He advised me that it would take approximately six weeks to have my parts done. I'm waiting to get everything done and together but Kurt called me and advised me that my tanks and fenders were back at his shop and that he thought they came out great. I'm posting a few before and after pic's of my motorcycle ( after pic's will be added after getting it back.
