This has become my go-to Germany grocery this year. The other store down the street doesn't carry anything useful anymore. I stock up on seasoning #1 for steaks. I can't get it anywhere else and it really 'makes' a grilled steak. (It's my secret spice) Great meat counter, with friendly ladies happy to chat you up while prepping your selections. There isn't a lot but what they do have, is useful and hard to find, if you use products from Germany. Their Landjager is choice. Worth the trip from the west valley. read more

Ich liebe Deutsch Wurst. This is the best Authentic German Sausage you can get in Arizona. Family owned and operated. Inside is always clean and tidy with everything meticulously displayed so you cannot resist getting more than you should. Everyone here also speaks German as well as most of the customers. Brings back memories of hearing my Grandma talking to her friends and family when I was a little kid. The quality and consistency of their sausage, lunch meats, cheeses, and other fine German products is exceptionable. I have been here too many times to count and have not left yet without buying a little bit of everything and more. It is hard to stop. Yummy. Today I picked up some Bratwurst, Smoked Landjäger, Sliced Cervelat, Bierschinken, Head Cheese (the vinegary one), some Fine Ground Calve Liverwurst, and a little Stuff Pork. Had to also get some real Imported SWISS Cheese, some Spicy German Mustard and a loaf of Rye. Don't forget some Imported German Unsalted Butter to spread on your bread. This place is great! I've shopped there multiple times and literally everything I've brought home has been excellent. My favorites are the little dried sausages, the paprika salami, the onion liverwurst and the smoked pork chops. And unlike most mass-produced store bought products, their meats & coldcuts aren't loaded with too much sodium or preservatives. They also have a good selection of imported pickled things, mustards, sweets & etc. Highly recommend! read more

This is a very small shop. The variety is limited. But if you want German food this is one of the few options around. They have seasoning packets for various dishes, plus some "raw" ingredients (like dried spaetzle, sauerkraut, etc). A lot of that is imported from Germany. And then they have their meat case with various German cold-cuts and sausages available. I'm not sure where those are made. When we were there a German lady (speaking German) was ordering several items. She apparently comes here all the time. She gave us some advice on things to try. So far we are liking most of what we bought. Be warned...cash or check only! No credit or debit. I had to deduct a star for that because cash is extremely inconvenient, and a lot of people don't carry much. Also the hours on the sign at their door are wrong. They closed at 5pm on Saturday, not 6pm. I plan to return from time to time to pick up some specialty items. read more

Improbably located between a residential area and railroad tracks, this fantastic wursthaus has wonderfully authentic sausages and such. I liked everything, but the one I liked the best was the Hackbraten, which was very close in flavor to my all-time favorite from Kafer in Munich. A surprisingly small selection of imported items awaits you, but they are selected very intelligently and are of the highest quality. I was hoping that house-made pickles were available here, but that may be tough to find in Phoenix these days. ( Fifty years ago, you could, but Phoenix has grown into a mega-city now, it seems. ) If I lived in this area, I would stop by every single week of the year! read more

Great little deli. The German Sausage Co had everything we needed for our Xmas eve dinner. The lunch meats were very tasty and well done. The frankfurters were some of the best I've had. The white bratwurst was also very tasty and seasoned just right. I also enjoyed the mettwurst. We purchased our bread items from Heidelberg bakery just a short drive from this store. We will come here for all of our German goods. This store does sell a limited amount of grocery items from Germany as well. The Heidelberg Bakery has a larger selection of German grocery items. Even my German friends visiting me in Arizona have been very pleased with the offerings from the German Sausage company. Please bear in mind to bring enough Cash when shopping here (just like in Germany) because they do not take cards as that would drive up their prices. If you catch yourself without enough cash for your purchases (like I have done more than once) there is an ATM in the same parking lot at the business next door for convenient withdrawal of cash. To put things in perspective, this is where local Germans go for their deli meats. The quality is outstanding, and the staff is very patient describing unfamiliar products. I always leave with something new and I'm never disappointed. Bring cash as they do not take credit. They also carry a limited variety of cheeses, dried goods and other European food products. The products are amazing and original, true to their German workmanship. During this pandemic, however, it's a public hazard that the food workers don't wear masks while cutting and packaging fully cooked products and working in the kitchen and just a couple feet across a counter from patrons-- and above all telling patrons they refuse to wears masks and encouraging patrons to remove theirs while people waited in a small area with less than optimum space between them. They always have the freshest meat and the ladies that work there are supper friendly. I love looking around and see what new things they have from Germany. My girlfriend is from Germany and loves buying the rouladen meat from them, because there is no place that has anything close to it in the valley. I also love their spicy hackbraten, YUM. The smell of this place when you first walk in the door is heavenly. The essence of smoked meat and charcuterie permeates the interior. Reminds me of the smell of the meat section on the sixth floor of KaDeWe (Kaufhaus des Westens) in Berlin. They offer quite a selection of house-made sausage and specialties here. It all looked a bit pricey, so I have not sampled their wursts yet. I have, however, done some great stocking stuffer shopping here--they have a good selection of German grocery items. I was thrilled to find their display of Kinder Schokolade-Überraschungseier (chidren's chocolate surprise eggs). Everybody (including adults) appreciates the complexity of the prizes you find inside these eggs. Maybe it's because of superior German engineering, but Cracker Jack ought to be ashamed of the prizes they offer when compared to these! The eggs were pricey though... $2.50 a pop (but worth it for the novelty). I also found myself impulse shopping for German candy Ahoj-Brause (basically fizzing pixie stick dust), mustard-in-a-tube, and Knorr seasonings. With all my Christmas stocking stuffer needs met, I was lucky to get out the door without buying too much more. I'll be back (à la Schwarzenegger) to try the wurst here. This place is awesome. We can't eat regular store bought brats anymore. Their potato salad is to die for as well. When you walk in you get a strong smell of....well something awesome and smokey and realize behind the register there are smoked something or others hanging right there in front of you. To the left are some grocery items as well as spietzle (sp?) and some other items. To the right is the deli counter that holds TONS of meats and other goodies as well as their brats. They have two kinds, from what I have seen, course ground and find ground I believe. I am not sure of the difference since we usually only get the fine ground white ones. They make limited portions of everything since its all fresh, so get there fast for the potato salad. This is our go to for grilling out and its always delicious. read more

Best German meat market in the US Thought Chicago meat markets couldn't be beat, but GSC is the best. All the meats and sausages are made on site. This is the only place I've found in the USA that has the veal dumplings, that are only found in Bavaria. Looking for top notch sausages and lunch meats. This is the place to GO!! read more
