Misdiagnosis, Unauthorized Service, and Refusal to Adjust Bill !!!…read more I brought my vehicle in for a grinding noise that occurs when turning and gets louder under acceleration. Instead of diagnosing the actual issue, the shop told me the problem was the rear differential fluid. Rear differential fluid does not cause grinding during turns, and this service did not address the issue I came in for. I am the owner of the vehicle and did not authorize the repair. My boyfriend approved it without my consent, and when I explained this, the shop refused to adjust the bill or even mark the invoice as "paid under protest." I was charged $240 for a rear differential fluid service that normally costs $60- $90 and does not diagnose or fix the symptom I reported. After performing the incorrect service, the shop told me I still needed to go to Ford for a TSB diagnostic -- meaning they did not actually diagnose the problem. I am now out the money for this service, plus the cost of Ford's inspection, and still have the original grinding issue. I asked for a reasonable adjustment due to misdiagnosis and lack of authorization, and the owner/manager refused. This experience left me paying for a service that did not resolve anything and was not the correct procedure for the issue I brought the vehicle in for.

Jim, the owner who saw all other techs were busy, put it on a lift and saw a leak in the front near the connection to the exhaust manifold. Misty ordered the part, finding one for a cost of around $450 when Chevy wanted over $1,200 for factory part. Two o2 sensors attach to this pipe which includes two built in Catalytic Convertors, so I asked them to put in new sensors too. Came back Friday and they put it all in, taking about 75 minutes, which included torching the bolts leading to the second half of the exhaust to break that connection. Total cost was just over $700 after taxes. The owner Jim also mentioned that at 130k miles I should have the transmission fluids and filter changed. Went back today (10/25/2016) and it was done within an hour. Misty runs the desk, and she knows more about cars than most dudes, that's for sure. Super nice staff all around. Jim has owned it for about a month, taking over from Joe who owned it for years. Jim is a super nice guy, all the staff really like him, and he jumps in to help as needed.
