This was both very helpful and mildly annoying. The thing that wins this place 5 stars--that will keep me shopping there--is the outstanding service I received from their customer service hotline. I don't know where these people actually are. I picked the Appleton location because that is where we physically registered and I didn't have the option to select a "corporate" location. I will attempt to make the retelling of this story brief. My BFF purchased about half of the items on our BBB registry and had them shipped to our condo while we were in Mexico for our wedding/honeymoon. We arrived home to a huge box with our names on it in our lobby. Inside the box was a packing slip that indicated that several of our items were being shipped in a separate box. We waited. And waited. And no separate box arrived. As it turns out, the second box was stolen from the lobby of our building, and this was caught on security camera. I called BBB, and Jason instructed me to file a police report. I was told that if I faxed a copy of the report to him, he would see that the items were replaced. After much hassle and drama with the Chicago Police (another story entirely), this was finally done. A few days passed, and just as I was thinking that I would have to call and be, um, slightly less polite, my phone rang. It was Jason. They received the police report, reviewed it, and the items were being shipped. We had them by that weekend. Now, BBB was not at fault. They were not obligated to replace the items. Yes, the could perhaps have sent the package with a signature requirement. UPS could also have left the box somewhere other than the front door. And my building management could have made sure that the door was secure while the other tenants were moving out. But they did. It was so refreshing to have someone actually care and actually do what they said they would. 5 stars for Jason and BBB, all the way!

I had used this company to install my new countertops before, and they did a good job. So, I…read morecontracted with them to install new tracks on my kitchen and bath drawers. First, the salesman who was supposed to do the preliminary measurements "forgot" his appointment with me. When I called, he laughingly told me that he forgets appointments several times a month. I then got the owner, Dennis Schwersenska, to do the measurements. Measurements went fine but Dennis made rude comments about soccer to my daughter-in-law (an avid soccer fan). They had to take the drawers to be cut down to make the new tracks fit. When the workers returned to to the install, I noted that many of the drawer fronts had bumps or cracked laminate with protruding screws where Kustom Kitchens screwed the screws in too far when they remounted the drawer fronts to the cut down boxes! One worker denied doing the damage while another one admitted their fault by working to fix the problem by taking off the fronts and trying to "bang" out the bumps and put "glue" on the cracked laminate. This didn't fix their damage. In addition, when the fronts were put back on, several drawers had big gaps between the box and the front! One drawer was even mounted incorrectly and didn't close flat against the cabinet front. At first I was told there was nothing that could be done to fix the incorrect drawer mounting, but several days later the worker returned and fixed this problem after I called Dennis to complain. While Dennis had one problem fixed, he told me that his workers did the best that they could mounting the drawer fronts to my "CHEAP laminated particle board drawer fronts"!! The worst thing is that I paid over $1,200 to have 8 drawers irreparably damaged. I reported the incident to Angie's List and Dennis refused to resolve my complaint...essentially implying that I contracted to have his company destroy my drawer fronts!!! He concluded that the damage his workers did to my drawer fronts was hardly noticeable!!! IF I CAN GET THE WORD OUT ABOUT THE TERRIBLE WORK THIS COMPANY DOES AND CAN PREVENT OTHER CONSUMERS FROM BEING TAKEN BY KUSTOM KITCHEN & BATH SHOPPE, THEN I WILL FEEL A LITTLE BETTER. From the initial walk through to the final touch ups, this company did an outstanding job. Let me give you a quick overview of how easy it was to work with these contractors. First, the initial sales person, Michael, was incredibly knowledgeable and able to see the vision we had for the first floor. He took a good number of photos and then met with other project managers at their office. From here, we met with an amazing designer, Halley. She answered every question I had and promised me she would guide me along the way. I had some ideas, and everything I forgot, she gently guided to a solution. I was able to pick everything from the exact sink and faucet, to backsplash and flooring. The amazing communication continued throughout the project using an app called buildertrend. We knew when the contractors were arriving for each step of the process. We were also able to ask questions through the app and received quick responses. I did have a couple of change orders, and even those were handled seamlessly. My project has been done now for about three months, and every day I love seeing the finished project.

We employed Kitchen Refacers to make a panel that would match our existing cabinetry for a new…read moredishwasher we had recently installed. We provided the panel from the old dishwasher for the purpose of color matching to our existing cabinetry. It took over 2 months for the dishwasher panel to be completed and was no where near the color to match our existing cabinetry. So they promised to " fix it". Well the improved panel was definitely darker but still not a match. Somehow they lost the "old" panel that was to be used for color matching purposes and obviously didn't return to us. Despite my misgivings about the color, they went ahead and installed it. After they left, we noticed they made a mistake with the install and we called within a half hour of their departure. They never called back. Luckily, our handyman was able to fix that mistake. They were unprofessional and definitely not customer focused. I would not recommend them.

I cannot say enough great things about Bay Area Granite and Marble in Appleton. We had a different…read morestore (Surface Creations) install new Quartz countertops in our kitchen. It was a terrible install they took the gloss out of an area when trying to remove a seam chip. We came to BAGM with the intent of replacing the damaged counter. When the BAGM person came out to measure the counter he said we didn't need to replace the counter they could repair the area good as new (something Surface Creations said there was no way to repair, so get over it). Low and behold in less than one hour BAGM's Service Rep repaired the defect, good as new! We cannot say enough good things about BAGM. We wanted to use BAGM right from the start but they didn't do backsplashes, and contractors were hard to find so we went with a store that could do it all. Lucky for us the backsplash person did a great job. We highly recommend you consider Bay Area Granite and Marble for your stone countertops. They are good people and very well qualified.

My review might seem confusing, as it has several separate parts to it…read more The first part was visiting the showroom, looking at samples, working with the sales staff and their coming to measure to the house to measure. The second part was the installation. The crew started with installing the counters and sinks in the bathrooms. Next they began working on the kitchen. During the installation, the installer received a phone call that his wife began ill and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. He took the time to make sure the plumbing connections could be made, so we wouldn't be left with a kitchen that couldn't be used before he left. Part 3, Codi the installation manager came to expertly put the final touches on the install. The counters look beautiful. In the end, the counters and sinks in the bathrooms and kitchen look great and most importantly the installers wife is on the mend. We would recommend Stone Innovations for your counter/remodeling needs.

She was supportive and honest. The gentlemen that installed to counter were courteous, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. They also explained the process. The gentlemen that installed the tile made sure that we had the perfect tile and did a great job of fitting us into their already busy schedule. Everyone was kind, knowledgable and made sure that the finished product was nothing less than perfect.
