Money Hungry , Thieves , Doesn't respect peoples wishes . Helped me pull my car out of the ditch…read morebut didn't respect my wishes to wait on my Mom and Sister to pull up so we can make a family decision .As well as the car was still available to drive outside of the front being messed up which i have a picture and video of the car . I should've recorded the officer who locked me in the back of his squad car to help me "stay warm" but didn't respect my wishes to let me out and try to drive the car and didn't listen to my parents who were on the phone with me during all of this . The manager pulled off with the car as soon as they brought it up . Without my permission, as well as his "employee" who was African American and didn't have no say in anything witnessEd it all but as soon as we pulled up there . The employee was on another call and drove off while we were pulling in very guilty huh? So here we go with the disrespectful , lying , money hungry , goofy manager. He kept lying saying that I said one thing when I told him to his face "IM NOT MAKING A DECISION TILL MY MOM AND SISTER IS HERE". Gladly my mother walked in and talked things out with them because they know what they did to me her son . So with this also being connected to Park Forest police who tries to use people's accidents or people being stuck in a ditch. To their advantage so they can meet their "buisness" quota , and or make there police buddies look good as well for putting people into their money trap . Luckily me and my family was able to get the car out of that piece of shit ass yard. And gladly they didn't get reported to the news for the actions that I went through on MLK day . With Park Forest Police as well as Coys towing place . They prey on people who get into accidents on the backroads . should've just left myself in the car and waited on my insurance to pull up . But police are supposed to respect your wishes and help right ? Not help themshelves and their crooked ways of thinking. But God don't like ugly so in due time what goes around comes back around . God Bless and have a good rest of your year :)

The owner, Verdis Alexander, is personally involved with the repairs, working side by side with his mechanics to ensure integrity, a fair price and white-glove customer service. I thought I had a transmission problem that was preventing the car from passing the vehicle emissions test. That was what the codes indicated. Turns out, my gear shift was sticking and not moving properly. How many mechanics can you trust to have been honest enough to admit to that? When my car was repaired, for a fraction of what I thought it would have cost, B&G drove it to the DMV and the car passed, just as the mechanics had promised.

Subject: A Cautionary Tale…read moreRegarding B and G Auto Dear Readers, I feel compelled to share my unfortunate experience with B and G Auto, located at 2206 E. 75th Street, Chicago, IL, in hopes of preventing others from encountering similar frustrations. Overview of My Experience: 1. Initial Breakdown: On July 1, 2026, my vehicle began to overheat and leak transmission fluid, prompting a call to AAA for a tow. After consulting several local mechanics, I chose B and G Auto based on the owner's assurances of immediate diagnostic services. 2. Relocation Confusion: Upon contacting the shop, I discovered they had recently relocated from Harvey. I agreed to have my vehicle towed to the new address, hopeful for swift assistance. 3. Lack of Communication: After the tow, I experienced significant delays in communication. The owner, Alverdis Alexander, failed to respond to my calls for about 20 minutes after taking my keys. When I finally reached him, I was met with vague reassurances and no clear updates. 4. Further Delays: Despite their advertised opening time of 9:30 AM on July 2, I received no updates until I called at 1 PM. When I arrived at 1:45 PM, my vehicle remained on the street, and I was unexpectedly charged for a battery charge, which had not been previously communicated. 5. Repair Pricing Discrepancies: After initially agreeing to necessary repairs (starter and transmission lines), the cost escalated dramatically when the owner informed me of additional issues with the fan. I felt pressured to approve these unforeseen expenses, and when I requested to pay at pickup, the owner's reaction was unprofessionally irate. 6. Post-Service Complications: After retrieving my vehicle on July 4, I encountered immediate issues, with the car stalling shortly thereafter. Despite several attempts to contact the owner, I received minimal assistance, culminating in a suggestion that I might have blown a head gasket. Conclusion: This experience has not only caused substantial inconvenience but has also led to unexpected financial strain due to uncommunicated repairs and unsatisfactory service. It is crucial to bring these practices to light, as they can significantly impact other consumers in our community. I urge potential customers to consider these points carefully before engaging with B and G Auto. Ethical business practices are essential, and it is my hope that this review prompts a necessary review of their operations. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Montage Pheloan

I went to start my car and discovered the battery was dead. AAA replaced the battery, and discovered the engine would crank but would not turn over. I needed to find a repair shop or make arrangements to ship it home. I began a Google search and quickly began calling "classic auto repair shops", asking for help. The replies ranged from "We can't take you for 2 weeks" to "We don't work on cars that old". I finally dialed Old School Classics in Monee IL. Bruce listened patiently to my predicament and said he would help. I had the car towed from downtown Chicago to his shop in Monee. Bruce greeted me and began working on it right away, with help from Mike and Ray. By the end of the day Bruce had isolated the problem to the EFI control module, one of the many modifications I had made to improve performance. Bruce continued working on my car first thing next morning. He reached technical support at Holley, who helped him verify that that the ECM module was fine. They directed Bruce to a hidden relay that tested bad. After replacing the relay, the engine fired up perfectly. I was very grateful to pay this bill, be on my way and avoid a $4,000 charge to ship the car back home. My car ran perfectly for the 2,000 mi trip back to Los Angeles.
