The only issue I have is the parking because there are like 3 businesses sharing 1 small parking space. Considering I have experience with many different shops over the years, this shop has been reliable every time.

I don't have much experience when it comes to car issues, so having someone trustworthy like Jonathan was exactly what I needed. Due to a very long story about a vehicle I purchased that should have had a current smog cert at…read morethe time of purchase, but did not, I had to start chasing issues with the van before I could properly register it with the DMV. I found Advance Auto from Yelp recommendations and even though it took 4 months to work through MANY issues, it was worth it. Jimmy was very communicative through the process. I can't tell you how many times you have to chase mechanics and shops for updates, which is really annoying when you're paying good money for their services. Jimmy was always on top of it and very responsive. What started as trying to pass smog, quickly escalated to chasing multiple CEL issues - bad fuel filter, leaking coolant system, full A/C system was not functioning, new radiator, power steering gearbox, multiple issues with fuel injectors, etc. Because I assumed the labor costs would accumulate, I chose to service the van here instead of closer to the bay and it certainly saved me a significant chunk of change. Every time we thought a problem was solved, another one popped up, which is why it took 4 months - juggling my work schedule to drop off the van for multiple projects. Every time I thought the CEL was gone permanently, it popped up and prevented me from smogging the vehicle. It drove me nuts, but Jimmy and the techs there figured out each problem one by one, and always started with the cheapest/simplest possible solution to make sure they didn't accrue unnecessary cost. And when we had to replace the fuel injectors for the 3rd time, they cut me a break on the labor for that whole issue. I really can't say enough things about these folks.

I did not choose this company myself; they were dispatched…read moreafter a police officer arranged the tow. My vehicle broke down and a police officer called a tow truck from this company. Before getting into the truck, I specifically asked about the price and was told it would be $325 per hour. The trip took about one hour, so I reasonably expected a bill of around $325-$650 at most. However, after arriving, I was charged approximately $1,300. The company explained that I was being billed not only for the actual towing time, but also for the driver's travel time to reach me and for his return trip afterward. According to them, the driver needed nearly four hours of billable travel time for a route between Discovery Bay and Concord. This was never clearly explained before the tow began. I felt misled by the pricing and would not have agreed to the service had I known the true cost in advance. Make sure you get the total price in writing before accepting any service from this company. I would not recommend them.

The same website apparently had an old or wrong number. I don't really like leaving reviews unless something's absolutely terrible or 5 stars. I'm not a car guy, but the service seems very good. Did a walk-in on late April and got my 2000 Sienna XLE's A/C evaluated, recharged, and ready to go within the hour. I recharged it in anticipation of a long drive along the 1 from the bay to San Diego and back. I believe it was Ed? Gave me pointers on my components and warned me it'll soon likely need to be replaced from the squeaking noise from the system at low RPMs after the AC was refilled. Overall good session. About a week later, a day before my trip, the alternator belt wore away, of which I didn't know at the time. I could smell rubber burning for the previous couple of miles, my A/C stopped working, and the battery indicator appeared. I called right when the battery light came on and described the issue, like an hour before closing to see if they'd take me same day and they did. Since I caught the belt failing in time, they advised I'd likely have enough battery remaining to get me to their location and just drive directly to them. Got there, they immediately saw the belt, ordered a new one down the street, and had it replaced also within the hour. (Old belt in photo (I retired the van a couple of months later so no new photos of work)) Overall very satisfied.
