The food was fine, I would probably say 3 star range and the servings were larger than normal. Things we didn't like about the place. 1) The service was horrible, the waitress just showed up the absolute minimum that she had to. We were trying to arrange some type of cake for the birthday girl at the table but she never seemed to be around. So we gave up and just ordered her desert from the regular menu. She was also very rude when the check came, see point # 2. 2) They charge for every drink refill as if it was your first, no mention of that from the waitress or on the menu. So when the check came, when asked, she said yes you get charged. We asked why she never mentioned that as every place we go to does not or will have it posted clearly. She became rude and said thats the way it is as she took the bill and the credit card. 3) The birthday girl is 11, so at one point when I was away from the table was approached by a bus boy who gave her a picture of a cat and started talking to her. We had our wedding there last week. I stress over everything so when Stacey made sure to take care of everything I did not stress once the whole day. Knowing that everything was taken care of left me time to enjoy the day with family and friends. We had a fabulous time Scott the DJ was great played all our favorites and got everyone dancing throughout the night. Everyone loved it, the food was amazing!!!! Stacey went above and beyond to help us through the last year getting ready for the wedding. Our guests were well taken care of. When I got back to work a couple of co-workers asked if we could have a wedding every week it was that good. I saw Kevin's review and couldn't pass up the chance to throw my two cents in also. My family has had many dinners here for special occasions such as milestone birthdays and high school and college graduations. Despite always having a reservation, we usually have to wait a little while for our table. Understandable, since the place is always packed on weekends. My grandfather usually just leads everyone in a round of drinks at the bar. Once seated, the service ranges from pretty good to great. As mostly everyone has mentioned, the chicken parm is huge and delicious. We always have leftovers. Somehow, after the rounds of bread, salad and entrees, we soldier on for the best part of the meal--strawberry and vanilla ice cream crepes. Two or three orders will easily feed a group of 10. Georgine's definitely isn't a spot I would think to go normally, but for an affordable family dinner, it's a great choice. read more

Where to begin. I went here with a big party and one person had the salmon and got sick. The food is lacking from the lack of taste and creativity to down right lack of caring in the preparation. I order a ceaser salad (wasn't really hungry). My salad came and it was obvious that the lettuce in the salad wasn't dried properly after it was cleaned causing the dressing to be watery. we are regular customers, the to go place for our family reunions every other month or so but today they lost us completely. we made reservations few weeks ago for 17 ppl, we were waiting for 1 hour and we still had no service because apparently the table for us was occupied by another party the started 3 hours earlier. The answer from the hostess was nothing they can do because they can't ask the table to leave, but listen lady you just lost 17 regular customers just because of that, apparently you don't have any other tables to accommodate big parties. Your grandma likes this place because the portions are huge and the menu hasn't changed in decades. We went here for dinner with my bf's family. The decor is dated and the restaurant was packed with senior citizens. The menu probably hasn't changed since the 70's. These are details I could live with if the food wasn't so bad. Mozzarella sticks were average...whatever, it's hard to mess up fried cheese. The seafood platter was a disappointment. Gritty, rubbery scallops. Bland shrimp. Lackluster stuffed flounder tainted with bits of crab shell. Clams casino that tasted absolutely horrid (I almost gagged). The table split the big birthday ice cream cake thing. It was ice cream with what appeared to be dry, store bought pound cake topped with frozen strawberries. Everything I ate that night tasted like it came from a bulk supply of frozen food or a Sysco can. The food was fantastic. The server dave on the other hand. Well let's just say he was a bit crude. That's putting it nice. He brought the check over and said he'd be right back to take it. Well 15 minutes goes by nothing. He saw my aunt put the credit card in the little black sleeve. And turned his nose up. Well she got tired of waiting so decided to take the credit card and put back in her wallet. Which at this point she put cash in the stupid thing just so we could leave. So as soon as Dave noticed this he came right over to take it. With a smile he says usually we have alot of people paying with cards it's better with cash you know. She really added to a totally pleasurable dining experience. Plus, Lynn understood what I meant by an extra-dry Martini. Great busboy service, water glass was never empty. Food cooked to perfection. Went to a wedding reception here. It was not good. Service was ridiculously slow, and I mean ridiculous. We sat there for over two hours before our entrees arrived. Two hours. Keep in mind that wedding/banquet orders go in weeks in advance and wedding receptions are designed to begin at a contracted time, so I have no idea what the holdup was. And when the food arrived, it was subpar. It looked flabby and unappetizing and wasn't even hot. You would think if the food was two hours late it would at least taste fresh and hot out of the oven (because of all the time they had to make it!) but this food was lukewarm and very unappealing. I had the chicken parm, which I thought would be a sure bet since Georgine's seemed like a chicken parm kind of place (which is also why I did NOT get the prime rib, since I had my doubts about getting good prime rib at a banquet hall -- and I was right), but the chicken parm was a total fail; it tasted old and dry, had a generic tomato sauce on it, and was served with these funky looking wet roasted (or boiled but oddly brown?) potatoes. Who serves potatoes with chicken parm???? Weird. I tastes my friend's prime rib, which she had ordered medium rare but was clearly well done, and it was gray and bland. No horseradish, but it did come with wet roasted potatoes, if that's your thing. Food aside, the soda table always needed refilling - a drag since we had so much time on our hands - and the staff were nice, but young and obviously not very experienced servers. I don't mind inexperienced servers since everybody has to start somewhere, but it probably helped contribute to how late our food was, which was very frustrating. And the biggest bummer was that the food took soooooo long that guests started leaving as soon as they finished eating -- before they even put out the desserts or cut the wedding cake! And I can't blame them because we had been there for 3 hours by then, but still, it was unfortunate. I never did get clear on why service was so far behind, but clearly something went wrong in the kitchen and for a place like Georgine's which handles events often, I consider that unacceptable. Came to this place by hear say. A friend who regulars this restaurant told me to take my Italian food lover man here for a meal. Im glad we did. Its more then you expect from the outside, and even the waiting bar area doesnt give you an idea of the decor as you enter into the eating area. Its large and full of levels. We got the upstairs with a view of a chandler. I loved it. Reminded me of the Settlers Inn (medford, Nj) The Service was perfect. Just the right mix of care and home feel youd want from a family establishment. You didnt go thristy or without bread. They have a cheesy spead and garlic butter with the loaf. Different, Tasty.. I have really fond memories of Georgine's. I grew up in Fairless Hills, not far from here, and all of our "special" family dinners were here. My family took us here after my 8th grade graduation, for birthdays and anniversaries. I had my rehearsal dinner here and my in-laws from other parts of the country were really impressed with the food and the value! My mother-in-law paid for the meal and couldn't believe how low the tab was for 20-some people. They also do catering. I recently threw my sister's baby shower here, and they were wonderful. I only paid something like $11 a head for a buffet spread, including desserts, fruits and other sweets. The food was good and the staff was very helpful in getting us set up. If you come here for dinner, expect huge portions. I have never been able to finish a meal here in my life, and its always delicious. You'll be taking leftovers home to eat tomorrow. We have eaten here many times over the years and it is obvious to us that it is slowly going downhill. It's hit or miss with the wait staff. Some servers are friendly and some are snotty. The hostess is usually unfriendly if you can find her. There is always a wait to be seated because of its past reputation of good food, large portions and medium price. That's not the case today. They do bring you good bread with 3 different spreads. That's about the only thing that has stayed consistent. Even the bowl of potatoes and vegetables they bring for the table to share has gotten smaller. They are slow bringing out the food and the kitchen makes a lot of mistakes. The last 3 times we have eaten here they did not get our order right. Most recently my husband used THEIR steak preparedness scale to order his steak "medium" which, on their menu, was described as "pink". The steak came out VERY RARE. He sent the steak back and it came back RARE. Why can't they follow their own scale? I had the stuffed flounder. I expected to find a bone or two. There were 12 bones in this flounder. Constantly pulling these bones out of my mouth made it very difficult to eat like a lady.And honestly, it was not really great and lacked flavor. The clams casino appetizer we had was nothing to brag about either. After this last experience, I think we are finally done eating at Georgines. I have been here before but the service and quality greatly has diminished. We went here for Valentine's Day, and one would assume a longtime restaurant would know how to handle having increased volume. We had reservations for 7pm we were not seated until 8pm. When we arrived, there were people who were still waiting for 6pm reservations. When I asked the hostess the issue she said the kitchen had got backed up. Finally, when we were seated it took about 15 mins to receive our drinks. They served bread for the table that felt like it was just taken out of the freezer. We ordered jambalaya appetizer, we were told about another 15 mins later they were out of that. My date ordered his meal and was told sometime later they were out of it and to chose another option. By they time our food had come it was 9pm. The food was barely warm. We were told certain vegetables (broccoli and mashed potatoes) would be served with the food. Green beans and whole potatoes were served because they were out. We ordered a creme brûlée for dessert and again the waitress came back sometime later to notify us that they were out of that too. So I decided to get the "hot" apple pie and ice cream. Received the apple pie and it was room temperature, it was not even attempted to be heated up. The meal I ordered was Chicken Francois, other than it being lukewarm it also had zero flavor. Server barley checked in on our table. Lastly they charged for the refill on the Diet Coke as well. I can afford the it, that's not the issue but to have us waiting as long as we did it should have been a courtesy. The night was a disaster from lengthy wait times to poor communication with the back and front of the house and poor quality of food, I will never come back here again. I recently returned to the area after living out west for 15 years. I could not wait to dine at Georgines again. What a huge disappointment. This place might as well change its name as it is not the place I remember. I noticed some of the dinners at other tables and it was obvious that the portions were much smaller. The presentations of some of the classic dishes changed. I did not recognize my entree as it was prepared much different. It tasted somewhat like I remembered but not up to the old standard. The vegetables were practically raw and way undercooked.. I expected the prices to be higher, but $80 for two?. I could have gone to a diner for a third of the price. RIP Georgines. We were seated right away on a Saturday and the service was average. The bread they bring out comes with two dips which are really good. I enjoyed a vegetarian pasta dish which wasn't on the menu and I always appreciate that they're willing to work with my dietary needs. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his clam casino and steak. Ate here for a family dinner tonight. It was pretty good, the portion sizes are HUGE!!!! It should probably be family style. The food tasted very good. Food was delicious. Four course meal for a great price. Fresh bread with homemade cheddar cream cheese and/or cream cheese, chives and parsley. Yumfest! First came the salad. It left a lot to be desired but it was fresh none the less. Next I ordered the broccoli cheese soup - YUM! it was so good I refused to finish it because I knew I would be too full for my entree. Then came the scallops Georgine which were delish and in a great dipping sauce for bread. Needed a little more seasoning and a better presentation. Scallops were perfectly cooked. In a word, Delectable. Entree was Steak Judy which came with broccoli and swam in an ocean of cheese sauce. Steak was PERFECT (medium rare) but the cheese sauce was upsetting. I had to actually eat my steak on my bread plate. Family style veggies were great but my family loves veggies so I didn't get much. Dessert was cheesecake with fresh strawberries that I ordered to go so I'm not sure how it is but I'm not worried. My best friend and her husband introduced us to Georgine's about 8 years ago. We loved it! This is now our restaurant for special occasions or when we just want to get together with my friend. We always make a reservation because it is so popular and busy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We usually have Dave as our server and he is wonderful. He is very patient with our questions and always explains everything to us. He makes sure our bread is always refilled, drinks/water refilled, and asks if we need anything. Even though we only make it there 2 or 3 times a year he always remember us and knows what we like, i.e. we like our bread toasted and when he sees us that is what he brings right away! How awesome! The bread comes with garlic and cheese butter which is very, very good! Their soups are delicious! I've had the french onion, lobster bisque and snapper. The dinners are huge, delicious, and you always go home with a doggie bag. I love the chicken vesuvius (Chicken stuffed with crabmeat) Yum!! We love the family style vegetables which are different every time we go and very yummy!! And the best part is the price is right! Bottom line is that Georgine's is an awesome family place to eat in our opinion! We have always had a great experience, great tasting food there. 6/18/21 Had Dinner for six people last night in the restaurant since they reopened. They should have stayed closed. The food was terrible. I ordered a special prime rib cut ,medium rare. It came cold, well done, swimming in a plate full of fake au jus and MICROWAVED I'm sure. I didn't send it back because it was a birthday celebration. The prices were raised, which I do understand. but the portions were half the size, as well of the plates themselves. Everybody at the table found their food disappointing ,even the desserts. A short order cook at a fast food establishment would have done a better job in the kitchen. The dinner cost $290 dollars with no liquor. If there is one constant in life it's Georgine's. We've been coming here since the mid eighties. We have never left without a doggie bag for everyone in our party. We went tonight for dinner and my husband and I had Veal parm and my cousin had the Trout. As usual the Veal was hanging over the edge of the plate. Marinara sauce was not heavy like some places, it was a perfect compliment to the veal. Cuz's Trout was mouth wateringly tender. i had brocolli chedder soup, my husband had snapper soup. Cuz had scallop georgine as an appetizer. Veggies and potatoes served family style. As i said we've been coming here for the better part of two decades. The filet is bigger than I have ever had anywhere else. The taste of the filet is perfect. No wild seasonings just a Steak and salt and peper. Then there is thye Veal Oscar. A huge pile of Veal medalions topped with 3/4 of a pound of crabmeat, topp that off with fresh asparagus and then Hollindais sauce. My daughter has had them make her shrimp parm when it wasn't on the menu. the wait staff is wonderful. They go out of their way to make your visit a pleasurable experience. The three of us have been doing dinner at least every three weeks ans our average dinners run around $150. That is drinks, appetizers, soups, and main entree. Tonight's dinner was $95. As for people who have complained re: poor service/rude servers, again this has never been an issue for me. I have always found the staff to be exceptional. As to Eric D's comment regarding drink refills, are you really going to worry about a charge for a refill with the sheer quanity of food that is served? If it is that important to him maybe he should ask first next time. And what did he think a busboy was going to do to an 11yr old in a crowded restaurant? me and my family usually go here every year for an after Christmas dinner. this year we went for my uncles birthday, still the same great food and service. I usually dont like expensive nice restaurants like this but i enjoy this place. I got some kind of grilled chicken in a white wine sauce with asparagus for 14.99. All of the prices are usually 13.99, 14.99, 15.99 or even 16.99 a person depending on what you order. Definitely recommend this for a nice evening out with great quality food read more

We went for Easter dinner today and it was absolutely terrible. I would give it a zero to be honest. We understand holidays are busy, which is why there ia a fixed menu. That should make for a better flow during holiday. Not the case here. We sat for almost an hour before we had silverware! I had to ask for that. I had to ask for water three times. The table next to us had water but nothing else for the same amount of time. The waiter brought over an appetizer, this is one we ordered so I picked at it. The waiter then brought something over to me that was totally wrong and not what I ordered. After telling me twice that's what I ordered he then said oh it goes to the table next to you! Then goes to take the other appetizer that I picked at and give that one to the other table. I said this has now been on the table for several minutes and I touched it because we did order this as well. He said well it's there's . I proceeded to remind him that this is a HEALTH violation and you cannot do this. He then was very condescending and rude to both our table and the one next to us. Another waitress came over and proceeded to raise her voice at both tables as well saying it's a holiday it happens! We both together spoke to the "manager " she said she would see what was going on. Also noted that she was aware that what this waiter tried to do was a HEALTH violation. Food still took forever was cold was not very good and the desert I was sent home with again was WRONG! The waiter came over and said I'm sorry that the kitchen was busy and took too long! If I yell at them they yell at me! So instead he yells at customers . He took no blame yet blamed the kitchen! Let's be clear his service the managements service was TERRIBLE and that was the problem! Not the kitchen staff . We received the bill and not one adjustment was made to ours or the table next to us. We paid and as I was leaving I received a quick apology from the "manager" ! I said well you never came back to us, the service continued to be poor, cold shitty food, a waiter who learned nothing except to blame his co workers and no bill adjustment. Always a great time every winter for family get togethers, owners are great and friendly and have been there forever

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I have been to the junior version so I thought the junior restaurant would somehow be an extension of the same recipes and similar style of food. I was wrong. I came in on a Friday night without a reservation and was seated promptly. The décor looks like it has not been updated since the late 80s/90s. Oh well, nothing major. So we started off with some cocktails and they were made well and attractively priced. Served bread with homemade butter and the butter was good. Started off with two appetizers of shrimp cocktail and calamari. The mayo-chipotle aioli for the calamari was so good. My daughter and husband enjoyed it. Shrimp was cooked perfectly and tasted great. For entrees, I ordered the Steak Judy - filet mignon ordered medium rare and was cooked perfectly, broccoli firm (not mushy), and shrimp again cooked perfectly. I enjoyed it. Steak was tender. Husband ordered maple scallops. The portion size was huge, scallops cooked perfectly and maple taste was nice. We received vegetables served family style, green beans and carrots were good, roast potatoes in their sauce were really good. My husband ate them all quickly. My daughter ordered fettucine Alfredo and fries. Alfredo was an appetizer portion and it was big, she couldn't eat it all had to take it home. Alfredo sauce was great, good creamy garlicky taste. Fries were a big portion as well - ad to take those home. For dessert my daughter ordered the peanut butter pie, it was good, rich (but I am not sweets person), and husband ordered the cheesecake brownie parfait. It was more like a big sundae, good, cheesecake was nice as well as the brownie (but again way too rich for me considering I am not a sweets person). We were so pleased with the meal from start to finish. We felt the prices were extremely reasonable given the portion sizes. My husband and I walked out leaving very surprised because again we thought it would be an extension of Georgine Juniors and it really wasn't. I have been going to Georgine's since I was in middle school with my family. We often go for special occasions such as Mother's Day, Easter, etc. but we have visited other times for dinner, as well as using the location for two banquets upstairs. Food Quality: Overall, the food quality is excellent. This is what keeps us coming back to Georgine's. As mentioned in other reviews, the portions are huge and you typically leave with leftovers. The stuffed flounder and crab imperial are wonderful, and you cannot go wrong with other Italian dishes such as the veal. During the special holidays, Georgine's has a special menu that includes a soup, salad, entree, bread and cheese board, and dessert for one price. The Triple Chocolate Mousse is an excellent dessert, and one of my favorites. The drinks are pretty good; however, there is nothing on draft. The catered banquet food such as the roast beef is also very good. Service & Ambiance: As mentioned previously, the service varies. If you receive Dave as your waiter, you will be in for an excellent and entertaining meal with impeccable service (he will bring you extra homemade dressing, extra vegetables, etc, just ask!). Other wait staff varies, yet the hostess stand is occasionally snippy and somewhat disorganized. Reservations often mean a 20 minute wait, at least. One time, we waited an hour and 1/2 for Valentine's Day, and this was with a "reservation." Additionally, service was poor on this visit and we were placed in the Comedy Club Room which was loud and somewhat dirty (food was on the floor and bins of food were left around the room). Understandably, it was busy, and the food was worth the wait, but still, they need to either stop taking so many reservations and turn people away or hire more staff. Price: A delicious crab imperial meal for less than $18. Where else can you find this? The prices are incredibly reasonable for main dishes; drinks are about average. Overall, Georgine's is a solid four stars. Service depends on the waiter/waitress and the day, but the food is worth every penny! Enjoy! read more

I'd really say this place deserves one star, but I gave it two because the Caesar Salad was actually quite nice, with real cheese and delicious homemade croutons. The entrees we had, Veal Oscar and Stuffed Flounder, were of poor quality and flavorless. The veggie plate included canned corn. The unmistakable tang of the can was present. Bland and overpriced. Quite possibly the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Had to ask 3 times when our table would be ready. Reservations Didn't seem to matter. Waited an absurd amount of time for food, only for one filet to come out stone cold, and another didn't come out for another 10 minutes. My sons chicken tenders even came out burnt. I was able to open and account and write this in the amount of time it took to try to hand my credit card to our server. Best part of the meal was the bread. I'd expect a half decent meal for $35 a plate. read more

Georgine is rolling over in her grave. We had patronized Georgine's for years but had seen the quality deteriorate. Following a few year hiatus we decided to take a chance with takeout - bad decision. We paid over $100 for takeout - 3 orders of steak Diane and 2 orders of fettuccine Alfredo for 2. Apparently the chef does not know how to make steak Diane as it was one filet with a few large overcooked mushrooms and sauce that seems like it came from a jar. The fettuccine was was just poor and not a size for two. The best part was the 6% gratuity automatically applied for takeout...really? There was no mention of the gratuity on the website or during the call when we placed the order. It is sad that once a great restaurant has become such a disappointment. Don't waste your time or money as there are much better restaurants locally and the same price point. read more
