Met Tim Feagin the owner, he is a Navy Veteran which is a plus. The food is based on his mom's Alabama background. Inside there are a few tables and some very neat pictures hanging on the walls of past musical greats. For me background music is everything. Smooth jazz plays and provides a cool atmosphere. On to the food. Ordered the BBQ Rib tips, greens, baked beans, potato salad and peach cobbler. The rib tips were nice and tender with a nice smooth homemade sauce that has a touch of sweetness to it. Put it in a cup and I could drink it. The greens had chunks of pork in it and had the nice fresh taste. The potato salad was a mix of mustard and mayonnaise with celery, onion, red pepper and some paprika on top, it had the slightest sweetness to it. Some of the best I've tasted. Then there were the baked beans. These were rocking, kind of sweet with some type of maybe smoky flavor, give me a quart of them and they would disappear in minutes. On to the dessert, the peaches were in a nice sauce that was super tasty with the crust being nice and tender. Another thing I could eat all day. They have pizza on the menu and a number of fresh subs. Definitely a place you need to visit. Don't miss out!!!

My home TR is Ashland, Ky with Marysville, Oh and Polaris, Oh, closely behind. This time it worked out better to try the Mansfield location and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely packed when we got there at 11:45am. They told us it could be a 20+ minute wait but actually seated us and the entire waiting area within 5-7 minutes. We could hear the great country music and enjoy the birthday singing but still hear each other talking because the noise level was kept in check. We ordered an appetizer and it arrived within a few minutes of our drinks. The rest of the meal came out just as we finished each serving. All of our steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. The waitress had a table of 12 and a table of 8 in our area by herself, yet she made our table of 5 seem like the only table she had. She did that with the other tables too. I would definitely make a point to stop in Texas Roadhouse if you are in the mood for a delicious steak. The time before this that we we fees there, my husband got the salmon and it was delicious, too. If you like fish, this is also a great place for salmon.

She returned it and came back to let us know when she was returning his meal another waitress was returning a country fried steak, so apparently the meals were mixed up. I ordered the tbone steak medium rare. It was served medium well to well done. Most of the steak had no pink at all. It was dry and tough. When the waitress returned to let my husband know about the mixup, I showed her my steak. She apologized and took it back. After nearly 20 mins, my steak was brought out. It was not a pleasant dining experience. We were eating our meal in shifts. Sides and then later brought our protein. By the time our proteins arrived, we were out of time and needed to leave. We did not come with the intension of take out, but that is what we ended up with. This is not an enjoyable way to eat. The manager never came to apologize or explain the mixups or check on our experience. This was a very disappointing experience.

Server started off good but she really faded as the meal went on.. no refills, forgot croutons (& said she'd look to see if there were any left as we saw table next to us all had em). Took way long for check & we had to ask another server for boxes since she disappeared. Everyone mostly liked their sides like salads (tho croutons were burnt), sweet potatoes (tho mine was 2x the size of wife's), fries (tho my portion was real wimpy), etc. My chicken sandwich was tasty but couldn't get a side of mayo. It was nice that the OTHER server got us some To-go cups for our drink refills since our server was AWOL. Fairly clean & decent crowd & big TVs.

Our server was friendly and professional. After ordering a round of beverages we also ordered two appetizers onion rings and the spinach dip. The onion rings were well presented and delicious. The spinach dip looked a little bit more pedestrian, but had some good flavors. I ordered their grilled chicken salad while my wife, sister, and mom all ordered variations of the sirloin tip lunch special. Our meals came out relatively quickly. Personally, I thought the sirloin tip lunch special presentations could've have been better. My salad was good looking and delicious! They're near the end of the meal. Our servers was seem to be spending a lot of time with another person while we were waiting on our bill. It seemed to take longer than necessary. I had the home fries covered in shaved ribeye, hot peppers, onions, swiss and topped with a sunnyside egg. It was huge and the leftovers (plus a couple more eggs) ended up feeding us both the next night. Both mains were fairly priced. My only complaint would be the 6-8 onion rings cost $10.95. I get that it was a starter as they didn't offer a side, but there should've been more on the plate at that price. All of their sides seem expensive compared to their burgers, but I'd go again.
