Wine tasting

Reasonably priced. Four tastings of your choice for $15.00 - $18.00 with the souvenir glass. I'm a fan of reds where's my husband likes them all. The decor is cute without being cutesy. Live music on our Sunday afternoon is always a welcome bonus! We will be back to try more of their menu selections very soon.

What a cute shop! We stopped by on a Saturday evening because there was live music and wine tastings! Also knew that we'd have to be seated to do one, so I wasn't too worried about having to find a place to sit. Service was friendly, but if your expecting a guide to tell you all about the wines, tannins, etc this is not the place. More of a relaxed setting that lets you decide and do as you please.

Great little shop on the Georgetown Square. They offer wines that you can purchase and take a plastic glass of and walk around the square and shop. The women working at the counter were all smiles and had great recommendations. They have kitschy gift shop gifts, local goods, and some snacks you can purchase. There are a few café tables inside and some chairs outside to enjoy your purchase. The wine was just fine, more light and very sweet, but the experience and service at this laid back tasting made it a worthy stop. A must stop when experiencing the square to enhance your time!

First time here on a Saturday during Market Days. I love this place and look forward to becoming a member when I move to Georgetown this summer! Super friendly staff! My friend and I were greeted promptly and given an overview of the wines for our flight-sampler. We scored a small table. This was a huge win as there are limited seats, I believe up to 25 seats. The staff checked in on us as we tasted our way thru the wines. When we finished tasting, we bought a glass of our fave wine and continued to walk through market days on the square. Anywho, if your walking the Georgetown Square, stop in for a tasting and or a glass or 2. Cheers.

I had stopped and had wine testing. The staff were all friendly. I had 4 different wines, 2 red and 2 white recommended by staffs. All of them were really good. It's a small cozy place for a good wine and chat.

My sister came to visit so we were on a little adventure. She wanted a souvenir so we stopped into some of the shops downtown. We landed in this wine room and ended up sitting for a wine flight, good conversation, and lots of laughs. While we didn't get a wine membership we did buy 2 bottles and cigars for Dad. The staff was lovely and their COVID practices made us feel safe.

Nice chilled laidback spot for a spot or two to wine tasting. Room and tables to seat 1 at the bar to larger groups in the back. Lots of fun wine related plaques, signs, wine toppers, shelves full of bottles and every imaginable gift item for wine lovers. Nice indoor garden feel from the string lights lining above your head. Very rustic and cozy feel with all of the wood from wall to wall shelves to tables and chairs and floors. They serve wine in plastic cups. In the back there are olive oils to try out.

I love the ambience. Had a glass of cabernet Sauvignon and walked around. The shop is quaint and the service outstanding. In addition to tasty wines, they sell fabulous trinkets. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard! I took photos of the towels and signs that made me laugh. Check them out. BTW, I'll be back.

Jalapeno wine...no joke!

Quaint tasting room right on Georgetown's Town Square. Really friendly staff and affordable wines and other miscellaneous related items. Not as typically over-priced in a boutique type setting. All wines are made from Texas grapes; harvested throughout the state. No concentrates. Tastings are $10 for 4, including 1 desert (their ports) wine if you'd like. Take the souvenir glass with you for an extra $2. [Note: Someone else mentioned something about $5 tastings at a certain time; they no longer have a $5 tasting] GW had the standard selections of sweet, dry, red, white. The Chardonnays (both oaked and "un-oaked") were OK. The Sangiovese had a nice smooth finish. Pretty much what you would expect for Texas wines - which have improved so much in the last 5 years. I like fine wines BUT, I could not resist sampling a few of the "Fruit" wines they offered. How could I not try Funky Monkey (banana and pineapple favors), Jalapeno Wine (just how it sounds with funky green color), and the Sweet Raspberry Chipotle (aka Schitz & Giggles; definitely taste the raspberry with a hint of smokiness). Lastly, the Portejas tawny port. If you like ports you might want to give this one a try. And for only $15 a bottle (OMGosh!) I had to take one home! Cheers!

We often stop here for a glass or 2 of wine. The people here are always welcoming and kind. The wine selection and good and prices are reasonable. If your hungry they don't have a full menu but they do at least sell finger food snack items. They also sell great local spices, maple syrup, olive oil, and other great items. Great stop at Georgetown square!!

Playing cards and enjoying an Unoaked Chardonnay, a Winerita, and a Sweet BlackBerry. Something for everyone!

What a gem in the burbs of Austin. A safe space for thoughtful discussion, promotion of small maker…read moreCalifornia wines, and a community built on diversity!! I'm a huge fan of California wines, but not huge Napa/Sonoma prices. Swallow takes the guessing work out of finding great wines at great prices. We had the honor of Gabe pouring for us on a calm Saturday early afternoon. He asked our taste preference and began pouring zippy sparkinlings, skin-touched roses and deliciously balanced reds! I'm actually going to Paso Robles on vacation soon and Gabe gave me great reccomendations and a sample pour of a Paso wine he loved (I will now be visiting that vinyard)!! This was my first trip out to Round Rock. A sleepy but adorable suburb of Austin (30min no-traffic from downtown) and Swallow adds to that charm with a relaxed living room energy (think Mad Men vibe if Don Draper drank wine instead of martinis and adultery)! Some locals elbowed up to the bar and we made fast friends (it's easy to bond over wine)! I hadn't planned on buying anything but walked out with 3 bottles!! One of the patrons next to us walked out as a wine-club member!! No up-sale needed. The space and service do all the work! With wine clubs, parties and meet-the-wine maker events, there's always a reason to stop back. This place is now on my Austin rotation every time I'm in town!!!

We rode the Hill Country Flyer on September 19, 2026, from Cedar Park to Burnet and back. We rode…read morein the Silver Pine car, which dates back to 1948. The seats were extremely comfortable and the car was air conditioned. Our volunteer guide, Steve, was friendly, knowledgeable, and full of entertaining stories about train travel. On this particular day, there was, unfortunately, a mechanical issue with our engine, resulting in a nearly four hour stop directly on the newly built wooden trestle over the San Saba River. The situation was unavoidable, and while inconvenient, I commend the staff aboard the train for their exemplary handling of the situation. Their number one priority was safety. It would have been potentially dangerous to exit the train into the wilderness of the Texas Hill Country. We would have had to walk along the train tracks, down an embankment, and then cross a natural low water crossing. A plan was put into place on how best to accomplish this, which would have included help from the fire department, sheriff, a Utility Task Vehicle for anyone who could not make such a trek, and four Cap Metro buses that were brought in to provide transportation back to the depot, if necessary, but only as a last resort. We waited, stopped, for nearly four hours, but we were given updates approximately every 20-30 minutes by staff members that visited each car, with the opportunity to ask questions and share whatever concerns we may have had. Sheltering in place was the safest option for all involved. The A/C continued to run, we had a working bathroom, and extra water was brought in for us. Snacks were also available. Staff made sure that we were informed, comfortable, entertained throughout the wait. There was a passenger in another car who had some sort of medical issue. Fire department paramedics and a sheriff boarded the train to assist that passenger. ASTA's head mechanic actually interrupted his vacation in Houston to pick up a part, meet the train, and make the repair on site. He was already in route, even as the personnel on board were diagnosing the problem. Once the mechanical problem was fixed, we were able to return to the station, later than planned, but we were always comfortable, informed, and never in danger. Even after the trip, ASTA went above and beyond to make the situation right. They emailed all passengers, offering one of 3 choices for compensation: * A full refund for your tickets * Exchange your tickets for a future Hill Country Flyer ride this year * A voucher for the full value of your tickets, to use at your convenience While we appreciate these options greatly, I don't feel that any compensation is actually necessary. ASTA is a not-for-profit entity with the primary purpose of helping to restore old trains and bring the joy of riding the rails to others, including families who otherwise could not afford excursions such as this. All in all, we had a wonderful day and could not have been more impressed with their handling of a difficult situation. We will definitely ride with them again!

The train crossed the scenic trestle bridge over the South San Gabriel River and through Short Creek Canyon -- all from the comfort of a restored historic railcar pulled by a diesel locomotive. There were beverages, snacks, train memobilla, toys, books and puzzles for the children, train t-shirts for adults and children were also available for purchase. (Restrooms were also available on the train) Midway through the trip, the passengers enjoyed a two-hour layover in the town of Burnet, to explore the historic square, browse local shops, and enjoy lunch on their own at one of the local restaurants. It is a three block walk from the Burnet Train depot to the town of Burnet. My daughter and I and some other passengers could not walk those three blocks, so my daughter and I shopped at HEB next to the train depot, sat in one of the HEB scooters in the shade and had our lunch. Some of the other passengers sat on the benches at the train depot building, you are welcome to pack a picnic lunch! Passengers are allowed to bring their own food and beverages. Non-alcoholic drinks are NOT welcomed on board the train. If bottled alcohol is purchased in the Town of Burnet or at HEB, you can bring it on the train, but you CANNOT open the alcohol on the train. Total Duration: 6.5 hours round trip (includes 2-hour layover in Burnet, TX) Unfortunately, Saturday, the train departed at 1:15pm and BAM!!! A train break down, leaving the train stopping on the railroad track bridge over South San Gabriel River for five hours until the mechanic arrived from Houston, TX with the part. But the Conductor called ahead to let the train depot know the train has had a mechanical failure and help is needed. The First Responders and Sheriff came aboard the train to keep the passengers informed telling us that they have arrived along with five busses on stand-by if the train cannot be fixed and we have to evacuate the train. Fortunately, after five hours, the mechanic and train part arrived, the mechanic repaired the mechanical breakdown, the train started, the busses were not needed and the train returned back to Cedar Park Depot after five hours. Our conductor, Steve and his assistants was very helpful. We were given bottled water and kept calm listening to train history by Steve. Steve saved the day! Saturday evening, all passengers who purchased tickets were sent an apologic email and information regarding a refund. That was a very nice jesture from the Austin Steam Train Association. RECOMMEDATION: I would take another Hill Country Flyer train ride, hoping no other mechanical failures happen. I would also wish that some organization in Burnet begin offering golf cart or some type of transportation from the train depot to the town of Burnet due to some of the passengers cannot walk the three blocks from the Burnet train Depot to the town of Burnet to shop. The vehicles would only be used to pickup the passengers from the train depot taking them to town and return them to the train depot filling the alloted time of their visit. I think the passengers would be happy and the community of Burnet would be very pleased to see more passengers coming to town via some type of transportation.
