After trying and failing to get ahold of several local gardening services that were rated overall…read moremore highly here on Yelp and Yellowpages.com, I called John's service. The four other services I called didn't even have valid or free voicemails, and in one case, the number didn't even work. Not so with John's. He picked up on the first ring, got my basic information, and informed me that he could come by for an estimate on my yard later the same day. When he got to my house, he told me he could do the job for me right then and there, and was really easy to negotiate with. He followed all of my requests to the letter, and offered a couple of suggestions on how to get the job done the best way. He got the job done quickly and efficiently, which is saying a lot, because my back yard was a frickin' jungle. Before, it was a hazard for my allergies and asthma. Now, it's clean and cleared and ready for me to do my worst. Overall I'm really satisfied and pleased with the work John and his staff did. Only going to put a four-star here because for a five I'd have to use his services again on a regular basis, but if I decide to do so and he maintains this level, you can bet I will definitely switch up to a 5.

When he and his crew showed up to do the work, the end result was satisfactory but there were short cuts. Getting him back to my place was another matter. He was either very late or did not show up at all. He would apologize and had excuses, e.g., his crew had quit or it was a very busy time for him . I made numerous attempts over the past few months, to reschedule appointments. Finally, I informed him that the Japanese maple was not doing wells in full sun. We scheduled an appointment for today between 10:30 and 11am. When I hadn't heard from him, I called at 2:30 or so. He apologized and said he would be at my place around 6pm. He never showed. It has been very frustrating dealing with this business. In the end, I could not really count on them.

Dog poop was getting stuck to small landscaping rocks. My son got a splinter on the landscaping wood and our dogs had just ruined all plants. We sought help to remove the weeds, a small peach tree and the landscaping, small rocks and wood, and also plants by our driveway and weeding our front and everything was done to more than our satisfaction.
