This review is overdue, the tree crew came right around Christmas to trim A LOT out of a gigantic tree in our alley. If only I could rate Anderson's Tree Service 10 stars. Never did business in the Central Valley with the level of professionalism this crew of 4 including owner delivered and delighted their price was the best. Plus these guys are state licensed and fully insured. Called for an estimate and the owner kept appointment with immediate bid written on his business card. Incredulous, stated his chipper could eat entire trunk. Booked service appointment for a Saturday and no less than 4 vehicles and machines on scene. With owner's permission I took several photos and videos. Like a kid I watched how the chipper ate log after log. Took a while to maneuver stump grinder through narrow sidewalk to the backyard tree but once safely positioned the stump grinder eliminated taproot within several minutes. I showed up at 08:00 to my rental property and entire job done by 08:30. Paid the owner cash and everyone a happy camper. Will hire again for other trees at my other rentals. in late August 2024, Ken Anderson came to my door and asked about trimming a tree in my yard at the property line for a neighbor. in the process, he said that he would take down the whole tree for free and remove a tree limb on a second tree at no cost if I agreed to let him remove the tree. I asked for a bid on a dead tree, limb of a European birch in my backyard, he gave me an oral bid, and I accepted it. All work was to be done on September 6 the crew showed up an hour late and at the end of their workday 1 PM. They said they did not have time to remove my dead tree and that they would come back on Monday or Harmony in the office would call back and schedule a date to remove the tree. I called the business line the next week because I hadn't heard anything and left a message. Harmony left a message saying that she would get back to me in 24 hours about the status of the work order, well it's been three weeks now I left a second message and still no answer. Mr. Anderson manipulated me to remove a healthy tree from my property because his access would've been difficult to limb the tree up from the neighbors property. This is a very poor business to not follow through on your commitments.I'm retired firefighter and trained to arborist myself so I know what I'm talking about. They left a horrible mess in my yard when trimming a tree in the adjacent yard. They also damaged the neighboring fence and refused to fix it. Apparently the worker was having a bad day because he was really nasty and sent his worker over without a mask. Maybe he didn't get the memo about the PANDEMIC. Would never use this service. You very rudely showed up and dumped tons of branches and debris in my back yard. A request was sent to arrange the work before hand as to not injure by dog in the back yard. Instead, the work was scheduled without mutual consent. (That is sweet?) When I brought this to your attention you were rude and condescending and made several inappropriate comments. At one point the chain saw hit the new fence and damaged it. Pictures of all were sent to your business.Numerous attempts were made to get the repair performed as well as clean up the mess. I am still finding branches in the back yard from the mess your company created. Unannounced during a Pandemic you sent an unidentified person (wearing no company information) who was not wearing a mask to my front door and did not leave a 6 FT distance. You may believe that you can violate the law by walking around and contributing to a pandemic but I care about other people and choose to wear a mask. My wife arranged to have two large trees trimmed and she had to leave for SoCal to deal with family issues. I was on contractor duty and met Ken and his crew at my home today. Ken noted that one other tree needed service in the next year or two, gave me a fair price and I authorized that in addition to what my wife had agreed to. I was in my living room and watched Ken pruning a small tree in our front yard that was not even part of the servicing. When I approached him, he was just doing it while his crew did the major work. I asked him if he loved trees and he denied it, saying it was just a job. But watching this guy ... he loves trees ... and he loves his job. He also cleaned my rain gutters. Why? From the initial call and quote to the completion of the service, I was impressed. I called and recieved the initial quote and was grateful how patient Ken was explaining the different types of trees and how to prune/care for them. He really knows his trees and how to best take care of them. We have a lot of trees, that were neglected by the previous owner, so it was a HUGE job. They were able to squeeze us in due to a cancellation in their schedule. The team showed up and got to work- it was amazing to see, you can tell they trust and respect one another and work amazingly as a team. It is always great seeing the owner out there working side by side their crew and putting in the sweat equity. All of the team was polite and respectful and I felt very comfortable with them in our yard. My kids loved watching the crew and equipment. They worked through the terrible weather and left our yard cleaner than it started. They were willing to set aside branches we wanted to keep for firewood and kids playing and even added on an extra few trees last minute. Once Anderson Tree Service finally showed up in mid-February they seem to have done reasonably good work, but didn't have all of their tools. They promised to return soon to remove two small stumps that were part of the contracted job. I have followed up several times and it is always promised that they will be out soon - which, to date, has not happened. It's now over two months later and we're still waiting on a professional service to finish the job.
