It has been one crown and one cleaning after I was supposed to add in an updated review. Holidays and life, what can you do, right? That said, I'm still going to Dr. Carr for all my dental needs and happy to do so. I'm welcomed in, I update any paperwork needed of me, and then seen pretty quickly after that. The crowns, fillings, invisalign, and cleanings have all turned out great. I have no complaints about any of the people and their work while dealing with my tiny mouth and stupid gag reflex. In fact, that's my only complaint. The lack of technology for smaller cameras to take xrays of my teeth every 6 months and that's clearly not on them. Every update will have this complaint if it wasn't obvious already. Anyway, I fully support this business and the last person who left a one star is either a bot, or very confused. They're all professionals while staying lighthearted and I'll repeat it as often as it's needed while I keep coming here. read more

Do not let this man do your root canal! His beside manner is misogynistic and he will try to charge as much as possible when you have great insurance. He was referred to me and I'm so disappointed. I didn't like his greedy behavior so I went to another dentist for the crown. His office sent the worst copies of my X-rays-I'm just glad I didn't let him take more like he wanted. What a ripoff -worst part is that I had to get a retreatment done 1.5yrs later by an Endo who specifically pointed out that Dr Carr did not treat the roots correctly which is how an infection was able to come through. I was advised to never let a dentist do a root canal for this reason. Now I have more pain and suffering than needed due his lack of experience plus All he talked about is how much he parties. I came to find Dr.George Carr's office through using Yelp requests for getting quotes for a Cerac crown (made by a machine in dental office the same day). I had to have an emergency root canal a few days before and I was missing one of my two molars on my right side and missing one of my two molars on my left side because it was waiting for an implant so I didn't have much to chew on. I was going on a cruise within the week and I wanted to be able to enjoy food and eat on the cruise and have teeth to chew. Dr Carr's office manager, Roxanne, called me in response to seeing my Yelp request on a Sunday before a holiday which was July 4th. I was already impressed by her holiday weekend response. She got the price down about $200 to $300 below other dentists for the Cerac crown and then I asked if I could get it down further if I didn't use my credit card and paid cash. Roxanne called Dr Carr who was on vacation and the price came down a little further, that same day. So I made the appointment to get the Cerac crown done in this office. So Roxanne got me an appointment right away and the Cerac crown was put on the same day. I really like Dr Carr because he told me he made my crown out of zirconia at no additional charge because it was a molar and zirconia is three times as hard and durable than porcelain. I later learned from another dental office that their Cerac machine is not capable of making crowns with zirconia so they send them to the lab to be made in zirconia, which takes 2 weeks. Now after my Cerac crown was put on but not permanently cemented, I did not like that there was a cave near the gum where the new crown meets the tooth in front of it. There was a hole (too much space between the teeth near the gum) where the food could get trapped and there was no such hole on the other side between the same teeth. So Dr Carr consulted with Cerac tech support and together they made me another crown and "bulked" that part of the tooth, to meet the tooth in front of it without a space that food could go into. I am very satisfied with the result. I had to come back in the afternoon (I was there at 7:30 am) at 2 pm, but it was still done all in one day, and I could have a at least a molar on that right side to enjoy my vacation and cruise ship food. I really like Roxanne, she gave instant service and was very very accommodating. She also took the trouble to copy my xrays onto a disk and later thumb drives, so that I could take them to my periodontist appointment regarding the other side where I have to have a surgery called open sinus lift, because my sinus is too low for implant post. No bone there either due to infection ate the bone, and the infected tooth was pulled, and then months later, I get an implant, when the bone implant grows more bone to hold the post. All this hasn't happened yet. I get the sinus lift surgery by the periodontist Oct 23. The only thing that wasn't that pleasant about my experience at Dr. Carr's office, is, as his dental assistant told me, not related to anything that I said, "Dr Carr has big hands". She said for another reason, but yes, his big hands were not gentle and sensitive in my mouth, compared to other dentists. My mouth was pretty beat up after that visit, not necessarily due to his "big hands", but my face was swollen on that side in the days afterward. My regular dentist raised their crown price from $450 to $675 for lab crowns, because the "5 Star Dental Plan" that kept their prices so low, went out of business due to Plan owner retiring. So for the difference between the nre price $675 and the price I paid for my Cerac crown with Dr. Carr and being able to "get it done right" the same day, I think I will be coming here from now on for my crowns. My last crown with my regular dentist (they don't have a Cerac machine) had to be sent back 3 times to the lab, each time takes 2 weeks, so it ended up costing me $675 and taking 6 weeks before I got a satisfactory crown. I also learned from the lab and dentists mistakes, to have new lab crown cemented with temporary cement and I chew food with it for 2 weeks, before cementing on permanantly. Because my dentist did not check that the crown had too much space and food got trapped in the space, not tight enough to the tooth next to it. It was painful and festering and because Dr did not check before permanent cement, it had to be cut off, and sent back twice before it was satisfactory to me and the dentist to be cemented permanently. This experience happened in the last month with my regular dentist, who doesn't have the Cerac machine, so I think since they greatly raised their price from $450 to $675 for lab crown, I am going to pay more and get it done right the same day at Dr. Carr's office with his Cerac machine. read more

First I want to say that Dr Carr is amazing. He was able to help me with a complete care plan that included replacing old fillings, crowns and a new implant. I have extremely sensitive teeth. Off the charts. So his attention to that issue was so important and really helped relieve my anxiety. For people with sensitive teeth- Chau is THE BEST hygienist I have had in 20+ years. It was incredible that this was the most relaxed cleaning I can ever remember- and she was very thorough! They do everything on-site, even the enhanced scans. Highly recommend! read more
