The Tallahassee Endoscopy Center was where my Colonoscopy procedure was performed on June 5, 2019…read more I arrived early and signed in. They called me back at the scheduled appointment time (no waiting) and one hour to the minute later had the procedure started at exactly the time they previously stated. During the entire process I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity by the entire staff. I was constantly talked to and made to feel completely comfortable. The procedure itself was executed in an efficient and professional manor and was completely painless. In the post procedure recovery area the doctor provided my colon health status verbally which I don't remember since I was still completely loopy from the anesthesia LOL. I did receive a printed copy of the procedure results including color photos (yuck). I was given a clean bill of health and sent on my way. Thanks TEC! The Tallahassee Endoscopy Center does perform next day wellness follow-up calls to patients, awesome!

Dr Thompson is absolutely wonderful. She is a good listener, detail oriented, thorough, and has an…read moreawesome bedside manner. Me and my husband have been under her care for over 10 years. The only reasons I don't rate her higher is her office staff. They are not good at following up with your test results. It truly is spotty or hit or miss with them, so you have to make sure you call them when they are dropping the ball. Despite the office short comings everyone is very nice and friendly. I have recommended her to several friends, who were informed about the office lack of follow up, & and all but one are still going to her as well as some of their family members too. She is a very good doctor!

First and foremost, I'd like to clarify that I have no issues with Dr. Thompson, herself. She is…read morekind, considerate and knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. However, the poor communication and unprofessional nature of her support staff led me to find another doctor. When I first contacted Dr. Thompson's office to set up a new patient appointment, I had to reach out three times over the course of several weeks in order to have the new patient paperwork sent to me. This should have been a red flag. Several months later I needed to have an immunization verification form signed in order to sign up for a class at FSU. What should have been a quick signature turned into a drawn out ordeal in which my emails inquiring about the status of the form went unanswered, and I ultimately had to show up to the office when it opened in the morning to obtain the form. While the receptionist apologized and chalked it up to the office being short staffed, the fact that I reached out on five separate occasions to remind her about the form before coming into the office myself leads me to believe otherwise.

I visited this office a little over five years ago. At the time I was experiencing allergic…read morereactions to something, and I only had a suspicion of what it was. The doctor was able to recommend a couple of tests and it was ultimately decided that I have alpha gal, the red meat allergy. I was very glad that he recommended those tests for me. The visit and the results delivery could have been a lot better. During the visit he seemed cold, and when I listed some supplements/vitamins that I take or may take on a given occasion instead of medicine, he made a comment "with all of this no wonder you have symptoms". I don't take any medicine and take normal supplements unless I'm sick and then I may take other remedies. His comment was very unnecessary, and he didn't have all of the information on the paper so I clarified for him. Then when I was given the results, I was told I could never eat red meat again and that I needed to take Loratidine every day for the rest of my life. I did a little research on my own and discovered from the Mayo Clinic that if you're blood levels decrease, you may be able to eat it again, so I went to another allergist who specializes in desensitization, and he did some research on his computer and discovered that there had been success with desensitization in a couple of cases in another country. I decided to try desensitization on my own with the help of his advice, and was very successful, and I'm able to eat red meat in small quantities (larger quantities of pork), so now I don't have to worry that there might be an ingredient in something that's going to kill me. I wish I had gone to the other allergist first, but I'm really glad that I got the advice I did. Other than that, this office was clean and professional, and his assistant who called me was friendly, but I just don't recommend him.
