I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough that I feel others should be aware. I was scheduled for an appointment and then received a call the day of telling me it needed to be rescheduled because my dentist was not working that day. When I asked how an appointment could have been scheduled if the dentist wasn't even in the office, I was told it was the front desk's mistake. Unfortunately, the issue wasn't the scheduling error. It was how it was handled. Instead of taking responsibility and offering a sincere apology, the office manager immediately became defensive and repeatedly blamed me, claiming they had called me the day before. I never received any call, yet my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. What shocked me most was the complete lack of professionalism and customer service. When I finally said I would be finding a new dentist, there was no attempt to resolve the situation, apologize, or even acknowledge the inconvenience they had caused. It was clear they simply did not care about my experience as a patient. Mistakes happen in every office. The true measure of a practice is how they treat people when those mistakes occur. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office and have chosen to seek dental care elsewhere. read more

Communication at this location is HORRIBLE! I came and had an exam and scheduled for a cleaning and filling. I called back the next day to ask about the schedule and left a message with the front office staff for Cassandra to give me a call back....No call was received so I called back the following Monday and asked if I could switch my appointment time no slow was available which is fine. I confirmed the time of my scheduled appointments and Cassandra said I'm not going to be able to get my teeth cleaned the same day which is odd when she scheduled it. I finally make it to my appointment for the filling which was at 10AM. I sat waiting until 10:30 before I asked would it be longer. Cassandra informed me the dentist is behind and there was still one more person in front of me. I'm beyond frustrated because I waisted my time. DONT COME HERE. read more

She was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable and explained all the details and set expectations extremely clearly. This is the kind of customer service you hope for but rarely receive these days. The dentist and staff is good. The orthodontist sucks. I went into ask if the orthodontist could replace my retainer with a replica, or just strengthen the brittle parts on my original with some dental epoxy or something. It took a 20 minute conversation until she finally understood what I wanted, and at that point she was getting flustered and grumpy. She told me that there is absolutely no way to fill my request with today's technology. She even went as far as telling me that dental resin and epoxy doesn't exist!! Thank God I did a 5 minute internet search so I can do the job that confused a "professional" so thoroughly. D's still get degrees I guess. ​ read more

UPDATE: DEC 2022- The defective crown split after only 2.5 years...a crown should last 15. I am in pain! My competent dentist verified the root is showing signs of decay so even before the crack, there was unseen damage. A root canal is warranted. Im livid I paid full price for a patchwork product./// Where do I begin? I took myself and the family here before I started a new job. I was upfront and told them about it. One of their employees told me that they could backdate the insurance for coverage on an upcoming crown. I had two appointments for the crown and the temporary crown removal was the worst. The woman who does the periodontal cleaning rushed and hastily drilled my teeth. The dentist doing the temporary crown assured me I shouldn't be uncomfortable and I didn't need my spouse for support. Boy was she wrong. And again I felt rushed and misled.When the permanent crown came in and the last dentist finally believed how much discomfort I was in she took care of me and told me the crown was made incorrectly and it should be reordered. I appreciate that dentists' honesty. She promised she'd make me comfortable if I came back. After how much the other staff dismissed the amount of pain I was in I was not coming back. Afterwards I got an enormous bill and I called them about it and the rep slammed into me saying that backdating the insurance was "insurance fraud". I certainly didnt come up with that idea! That's what their staff said when I initially questioned my out of pocket expense. My calls were ignored, passed off and finally I talked to the main business rep and she tried to over talk me throughout the conversation. The false assurance about the bill became heresay since I didn't have proof of what they told me. I described the rep but Gentle Dental staff just won't own up to lying to me about payment. Had I known I would have to pay that much out of pocket I would have NEVER agreed to any service--much less the pain for a defective crown. I wish it ended there. They ended up sending me another bill because they misapplied another insurance to my son's account. Then I and my husband had to keep calling to cancel appointments they were automatically scheduling. That's a lot of inaccuracies! After this I'm scared to ever see another dentist again and I probably wont get more than a cleaning unless I have an itemized estimate including insurance payment, out of pocket expenses SIGNED by a rep--even so it won't be at any Gentle Dental. I do value the attention that Bailey gave me and the last dentist who was honest with me about the poorly made crown. All things considered Gentle Dental's false promise of insurance billing, dismissal of patient's discomfort, other billing inaccuracies, and outright denial of advice given by their own staff solidifies I will never return to any Gentle Dental. read more

I am so happy with this dental office. They were able to get me in on a pseudo emergency as my dentist left his practice. The reception desk was super friendly and helpful. They even had some festive holiday deciratis to ease the dentist office nerves. The dentist had a great sense of humor and found the keast cost, yet effective, solution to my problem. He was able to fix my chipped tooth and get me back to work in less than 30 minutes! My favorite part was that they actually made my appointment on time! I hate sitting around in waiting rooms past my appointment time. read more

I want to start out by saying Dr. Aber and her assistant Bailey are absolutely amazing. But something is MAJORLY wrong with the front/scheduling. EVERYSINGLETIME I have an appointment scheduled I DOUBLE check it with the front before I leave & I have shown up MULTIPLE TIMES to find out the office didn't even know I had an apt. My teeth have shifted causing me to need braces again when I just spent 4 thousand on them. This is due to not being able to get in an apt. This office is completely out of wack. It makes me sad because I love my dentist and assistant but I'm over this place. I am getting my crown that I paid for on and I'm leaving. I've never been so frustrated in my entire life with a dental office and I came from dental depot if that tells you anything. First off, I love my hygienist, they are the best! Dr. Burns was awesome his replacement, Dr. Annie, is nice, but didn't know what to do when things didn't go "textbook." I had lost a filling and went in twice and they didn't even look, they just referred me to a specialist. I was able to go to another location,but they didn't transfer my files as they advised they would. I also find Beverley, the receptionist, to be rude and l as then helpful. read more

First off! The office, I called and ask specifically for a cleaning, they said sure. Got there (they did ex rays) which I expected and insurance only pays for them once every 5 years, but when they were finished and they said we're through, I said no I came for a cleaning (because it was December and I wanted to get it done on 2020 insurance so I can get all my 2021 done on that year! ) if they hadn't told me they couldn't get me done that week I wouldn't have booked there!! The earliest they could get me a cleaning was January 22!! I'm so pissed!!! read more

If you value your time this is not the place for you Teeth cleaning appts run 30 minutes late and they rush through your appt trying to catch up. I've had a lot of dental work and I have to share my experience with Gentle Dental (Moore location). Today was a crown on my front tooth. My dentist of approx 35yrs retired and he recommended Dr. Jon Barnes. After an appt. to discuss the procedure, Dr. Barnes put me at ease with his personality. Today, I had the temporary put on (the major work). The dr. & assistant, matched the color of the temporary as good as I could and I know the permanent crown will be even better. I have to praise his assistant, Debbie, as she was very careful to make sure I was comfortable, worked hard to be in sync with the dr. When I return, I'm definitely going to ask that Debbie assists if possible. read more

I was so happy that Gentle Dental was able to fit me in today because of my painful toothache. Patricia, at the front desk, was very friendly. Dr. Yeary and his assistant Olivia were very understanding about my nervousness and eased my mind about getting a root canal. I was thrilled they were able to do the procedure the same day. Dr. Yeary took his time and explained everything he was going to do before he did it. Even though it was hard for me to get numb, Dr. Yeary and Olivia were very patient with me. I've been coming to Gentle Dental in Moore for a few years now for routine cleanings, even though the Dentist changes each year. During my most recent cleaning Dr. Berry said one of my filings was cracked. I was surprised to learn of this as I was not having any pain or cold sensitivity. I scheduled a follow-up appointment to repair the cracked filing and it was the most horrific experience I've had at a Dentist. Dr. Berry stuck the needle in the back of my jaw, not around the tooth to be numbed. She stuck the needle in multiple times as I cried in terrible pain. When she began drilling on my tooth it was not numb and I told her the drilling was hurting. So, Dr. Berry proceeded to stick a needle in the back of my jaw multiple times again. Not only did this trigger a severe headache, but my jaw and upper portion of my neck have been hurting since the procedure. It has now been 4 days and I can barely eat or sleep due to the pain. My tooth is also extremely sensitive to cold now. I'm searching to find a new dentist. I strongly recommend that anyone needing dental procedures beyond routine cleanings go to another dentist. read more
