The doc explained what was needed to be done, what had probably caused the issues, how I could prevent future issues and then walked me through everything he was doing. He's very personable and easy to talk to which is so refreshing! The office girls are also very nice, accommodating and helpful when it comes to figuring out the insurance thing! Every time I've seen her since, she continues to be helpful, thoughtful, and empathetic. Dr. Ward explains everything he's doing and takes time to answer questions with every visit. They won't even stay in my mouth and they are so uncomfortable they give me major headaches. I went to so many appointments with them getting it wrong that I finally just gave up and was stuck with a very inadequate pair. Twice they've referred me to another clinics to get root canals, and both times I ended up spending $2-300 in x-ray fees to be told those teeth are not saveable. While I'm not happy about these things, my cleanings and extractions I've had here were overall positive experiences.

I learned after "Googling" and calling a dozen offices between Guthrie & Edmond, that many dental offices close at 3pm on Fridays or aren't open at all on this day. When I made this call I was pessimistic, but instead I was met with a professional, wonderfully kind voice on the other end, and at once, I felt this is the place. So, I mentioned the issue and urgency. The person on the line obviously had compassion and sensed the concern for my mother. She asked how soon we could be there. We made it in 30 minutes and all around, from the 1st phone call to the end of the visit , all the staff including the dentist, were absolutely, exceptionally, fantastic. The dentist even pointed out to my mother something numerous neurologists haven't been able to diagnose for her over several years of visits. Very, very unhappy & dissatisfied with Dental Care of Edmond from the very beginning. Currently I'm…read more(unfortunately) in their "Invisalign" treatment program. At the very beginning (before treatment program even began) I had so many doubts that I requested to forgo the Invisalign treatment program, but I was told No, that even though treatment has not yet began, I could not back out without losing my money. So ... I felt trapped at this point, but I unfortunately felt as though I did not have any other choice, because I couldn't afford to lose all that money I'd already paid. The initial Invisalign consultation was very brief and very rushed that I felt I just didn't understand everything involved (both with treatment & the financial end, as well). Early on in the treatment process the Invisalign tray yanked out one of my crowns on a tooth & so that had to be fixed. Then afterwards they tried to adjust my liners & cut off the end that would go onto the new fixed crown, but they messed up & cut off the wrong end of my Invisalign liner! So their fix at this point was to just cut off the other end too (the end that was supposed to be cut off in the 1st place. i could go on & on but will end with what's currently going on. As of today I've been in the same Invisalign liners for 5 weeks. Normally you change out the liners every week (to keep the progress of the treatment going). Part of the reason for the long delay is I had a vacation already booked so that affected about 6 days. But when I returned from my vacation I had a message that they'd moved my appointment back another 10 days and scheduled it on that 10th day back without confirmation from me. Well, that particular date they set up did not work for me because I already had something scheduled that day. So now it has taken me a FULL WEEK Just to get a new appointment scheduled, & while on the phone today, I find out that they've AGAIN just blindly scheduled another appointment without 1st consulting me to check my calendar. So where I'm at currently is, when I come in next for my appointment, it'll be 7 weeks in the same liners. Here's the thing, whoever is scheduling appointments, please contact the patient first before scheduling the appointment because patients also have a life & they have schedules too! Secondly, if my doctor was unavailable for that long of a period, I don't understand why another doctor (within the practice) could've seen me so I wouldn't have to wait 2 months to get my new liners. I am just so frustrated with all of this. Thanks, feel a tiny bit better to vent on all the complications I've had throughout all this treatment program. Thanks
