They supposedly have a dietary manager who I met once last January. I haven't seen him since. Dinner last night consisted of 1 slice of cheese pizza and a small pile of plain lettuce with no dressing. One morning last week no cooks showed up for work. Breakfast consisted of a bowl of fruit loops. This morning was a rock hard biscuit covered with something that resembled sausage gravy and a pile of cold fake eggs. The jail I worked in for 15 years served better food than this. But then, food served to inmates are better regulated by the state than food served to elderly nursing home residents who in a lot of cases can't advocate for themselves. Again, if I was looking for a place for my loved one, it wouldn't be here.

Since this location was close to my home, and my mom wanted to be near me, we chose this facility. Unfortunately, I was traumatized from the very first day she was admitted. When EMS transferred my mother into her bed, we discovered the sheets were dirty and contained what appeared to be waste and skin debris from the previous patient. I immediately filed a complaint about the unsanitary conditions, and thankfully the sheets were changed right away. The next issue involved the CNA assigned to my mother. She told my mom they did not have a bedpan large enough for her and that she would have to wear adult diapers during her stay. My mother has never worn adult diapers in her life, and hearing that left her embarrassed and uncomfortable. I filed another complaint. One of the most disturbing incidents occurred when my mother was left alone in the bathroom for over an hour and a half. Her leg became numb from sitting on the toilet for so long. She yelled for help, knocked on the door, and repeatedly pressed the call button, but no one came to assist her. I filed another complaint regarding this incident. There were also many occasions when her call light remained on for extended periods because there simply were not enough staff members available. I was told there were only two CNAs assigned to care for approximately 18 patients on her wing. That staffing level was very concerning to me. I also witnessed a nurse preparing medications by removing pills from their original containers, placing them into small cups, and labeling the cups only with room numbers before entering patients' rooms. I was very concerned that this practice could increase the risk of medication errors. I reported my concerns to the facility. My mother also did not have a television in her room. We were told we could either purchase one ourselves or wait to see if the facility could locate one. Throughout my mother's stay, I filed several formal complaints. Each time I followed up, I was told, "We're taking care of your mom." My response was always the same: I wanted written responses to my formal complaints rather than verbal messages passed through staff members. Because of the seriousness of what my mother experienced, I have filed complaints with Adult Protective Services, the local police department, and another agency that oversees these matters. I truly gave this facility every opportunity to address my concerns. I visited my mother every day and did everything I could to advocate for her, yet I still believe she experienced neglect. If you choose this facility for your loved one, my advice is simple: be there as often as possible, ask questions, and advocate for them every single day.

Before I established care with her I read these same reviews so I knew what to expect but I still gave her the benefit of the doubt. Plus she didn't try to pawn me off on other doctors for medications she could continue. What is prompting me to leave this review is the fact Dr. Robinson became spiteful and terminated my care from her facility because my INSURANCE chose to file a grievance against her for not timely correcting my prescription. At my last appointment with Robinson last Monday she didn't even address the real reason I was there and that was because of high heart rate and low blood pressure. She did not let me have bloodwork that day but instead chose to wait and said "well your heart rate and blood pressure is fine today". Then we discussed my fluctuating testosterone and she questioned if I would benefit from my testosterone being higher and agreed to continue testosterone therapy. She sent over the testosterone prescription but insurance denied it as they would need a prior auth. I asked Latonya if Robinson would appeal and do a prior auth. Got no response on that. When it came to one of my controlled meds needing approval a message and a phone was sent to the office. Like everyone else says it was ignored by Robinson and it took me calling my insurance for her to stop knuckle dragging and fix the prescription. SIX days later and a third party call. Now on that call the insurance rep said she had to file a grievance against Robinson per policies and procedures of the insurance. I specifically expressed I did not want a grievance filed, that I had no complaints, and just wanted my meds. Latonya was on the phone and she ran back and told Robinson. Robinson called me early yesterday morning to whine and complain about the message I sent to rude Latonya telling her not to talk to me the way she did and if she can't treat me as a human than have someone else contact me. We are our only and biggest advocates so we HAVE to stand up for ourselves. That was out of my control and had Robinson just did her job and stopped ignoring messages a grievance wouldn't have been filed. This is an ongoing issue with Robinson that MULTIPLE people have complained about and instead of her fixing herself and the issues she chooses to ignore it and take it out on patients and terminate our care. That is a systemic problem in Georgia. If you don't tow a doctor's line they will terminate your care and make it difficult for you to see other doctors. The manager Ms. Akins called me conveniently after I did a survey on Robinson this morning to discuss the issue and while she was "nice" and listened she knew what was going on. I told her had her staff let me speak with her instead of denying me that right none of this would have happened. She said she would address the issue which I told her nothing is going to change. People have been complaining about this for YEARS with Robinson but she said she did have control over the office and staff. Not the doctors. I also asked her when is Robinson scheduled to come in and she said everyday. Odd because Robinson is out more than she is in lol. Just last week she didn't come in on Friday plus the other countless days she is gone. Wednesdays she's off indefinitely. No wonder nothing can get done and I personally think she has personal problems that is preventing her from doing her job and come in the office. I could mention her marriage which I think is causing her mental distress to the point it's interfering with her job. The rapid side to side jaw movements she constantly does, the rapid talking and rushed visits, leads one to believe something mental or substance wise is going on with her. I don't want to make this personal but I did not appreciate the way Robinson spoke to me when she called MY phone, wouldn't let me get a word in, lied to me and lied on me, and then spitefully terminated my care.
