It has been a while and things have changed from when we left 14yrs ago. I remember having the sushi rotate continuously and now only when you place your order. The food was fine, just the soup we had was bad and the meat seemed spoiled. Service was good. Ambiance ok.

Tried the take-out chicken karaage bento. The chicken karaage was good and the sushi rolls were good as well. The salad looked better in the picture. I enjoyed the asian-style dressing. Overall, not a bad deal for the price.

We have been anxiously awaiting the re-opening of this location and are so happy the doors are back open here in Kaneohe! Genki is always a go to spot for a quick lunch, and with the reopening and some specials, I was so very pleasantly surprised. There was a seasonal special which included an uni shiso temaki and uni nigiri which I was so surprised to see at a genki! The staff was all very attentive and the manager also came around to check on us throughout our meal. We even got to take home a set of 30th anniversary genki sushi chopsticks. The places was lively and filled with many families just like it has always been in the past.

Only half the restaurant seating was open and there was a wait for seating most likely due to staffing shortage. Everyone at the table can scan the QR code to order items for the table that are delivered on the conveyor belt. Bathrooms are located outside and the code is listed on the wall. Sushi and hot foods were fresh.

Natto nigiri. Like a strip of toothpaste.

The service was okay. Very young kids that were trying their best. No ice in the water, forgetting things...but I don't expect much from teenagers. They seemed to just be green, but pleasant. The problem is their very food quality and extremely undersized portions. Things sure have changed...shucks.

    Missing my corn??

No way to get ahold of the restaurant as ringer on the phone isn't working. The order of chicken karaage was ridiculous - one pc of chicken and smaller pcs that looks like they could probably make another pc of chicken. Then to to add salt to injury they failed to give me the corn Sushi I paid for ‍

Nice, looking corner restaurant, poor non existent customer service!

Having lived in Utah, upon visiting we would visit Genki, when the belt was working & the restaurant was busy, grandkids loved this place as picking out your food was easy, as the belt rotated. After a few years , decided to try Genki for lunch and was disappointed at the poor service. The one person on duty Kwena had no customer service & handed us a QR code & menu's with no explanation as we waited for some kind of response.Another person came on duty& was of no help either. Waited approximately 10 mins total & walked out and went to a eatery couple doors down. Never to go back again, Kaneohe has to many good restaurants to patronize! Never bothered to look @ their reviews, to my 96 year old mother a QR code is useless!

When your kid's stomach is sending out emergency alerts, you're not waiting around for omakase and gold flakes. This spot won't win any Michelin stars, but the rolls fly out faster than your kid's hangry meltdown. You get what you pay for and in this moment, that's peace, rice, and quiet. They can do some work on making the sushi rice better tho.

The popular Kaneohe genki sushi. This place is awesome. Good workers and fast with there service.

First I'm the restaurant. Bad idea. Seems like staff is still asleep... at noon...

I don't know why we keep coming here. Ebi fry came out cold. Teriyaki chicken was burnt beyond recognition and chicken wings were questionable. The Sunday crew needs to be retrained or fired. This will be the last time we come to the Kaneohe location. I'm tired of wasting my money.

This is the real special however it is does not look as full or above the bowl like the photo...and for $6.75z...what a rip off

Don't know why they are given such low stars. Service was good, food was Genki. The place was clean and there were plenty of staff.

I was a little sad that my favorite server was not working. Maybe I'll see her next time! I decided on Udon. The broth is really good and warms the soul! I also got my usual, inari and an eel roll. Both very good! Would've had green tea, but it was late and it would've kept me up. The young servers working were all very friendly. I do remember when they were at the other smaller location, which was when I first discovered them. Good times! Mahalo again Kenko Ya!

I usually order their combination meal with butterfish, mochiko chicken and shrimp & vegetable tempura. Their butterfish is moist and has great flavor. The mochiko chicken here is one of my favorites and they give you a lot! I have enough for leftovers the next day. The shrimp & vegetable tempura has a nice light and crispy batter and they give quite a lot of veggies with two big pieces of shrimp! At our recent visit with got spicy ahi which was quite spicy but still tasty! The service is really good, with the servers being very attentive. I definitely recommend this spot if you're craving Japanese food!

Adela's is a small, take-out order only place, but extremely busy. We phoned in the order ahead of time and the wait time was about 45 mins. We got the Sweet Potato Noodles with Garlic Butter and Lechon. Gracious, it was delicious. Worth every penny. The lechon was crispy, tender, and flavorful. The noodles had the perfect texture and paired flawlessly with the garlic butter. We also got Okinawan Sweet Potato Poi Bread, but this unfortunately was blown out of the water by the noodles. I would not order the bread again, but would instead order 2 plates of food for myself, diets be damned. Easiest 5/5 of my life.

They indeed seemed to be very popular as I could see how busy the place was when we picked up ours. It's also a to-go concept only so we enjoyed our pasta at the bench right next to the venue. The pasta was organic and all homemade from peculiar natural ingredients including moringa, taro, sweet potato, bread fruit, avocado, and local saimin. The one serving us was so nice and attentive, which indeed seemed to be needed here given how rich selections they offered. You got the option to pick your own choice of pasta, sauce, and protein or went for their combo. We opted for the latter as we got their Lechon Malunggay Pasta, which was Moringa pasta with roasted pork belly. Portion was HUGEEE and certainly shareable unless your appetite was so big. Meat to pasta ratio was also super general. The pork was cooked to perfection with flawlessly crispy skin yet juicy meat. The pasta came in just the right texture and was already flavorful on its own. You could pick spiciness level for which we took mild and we thought we should've gone for spicy. We also got Ube cheesecake for dessert that was also gigantic LOL. We finished it finally after multiple servings and it was still so good despite kept in fridge overnight. Dense yet not overwhelming and the ube flavor was so strong and I could tell it used real ube. This place was seriously MUST GO!
