My son put in for a free estimate gave them my phone nbr as he lost HIS PHONE. I read reviews and said No Way especially the high costs, taking a month to finish. So based on the constant phone calls EVERY DAY for 2 months and using many different phone nbrs that just sounds shady and each nbr does come up as SPAM.A Also so many different females calling it's to the point of harrassment. I call the nbr just in case it's not SPAM,but it's GENIE. So once they answer GENIE Ihang up & block them Are you SO DESPERATE FOR BUSINESS after 2 months of continuous calling you don't get the MESSAGE I'm NOT INTERESTED???? Read all the reviews. There are reasons for the one stars. Poor quality in customer service and resolve of issues. We have left messages for project manager "Aaron" (four times) who still after a week has not returned our calls. There are other poor reviews below with his name where customers have had issues. During the sale of the job we were promised that no contracted workers would be involved. That is not true which broke our trust in the company. The workers left the job incomplete, areas that need improved (sharp edges on trim, caulking complete, glass installed, seams lined up). Also, they did not cover a lot of the areas in the rest of the bathroom which left everything covered in dust grinding. They did not clean up after their job leaving nails on floor in bathroom along with all of the dust. A job that is not complete yet we have received several request to pay the other half of the job. From the outcome and quality received was way over priced. read more

Will Ramirez from Genie came in from San Antonio and showed me a bunch of things and brought tools with him to help show me the moisture levels and a microscope connected to his IPad with a flash light showing me the black mold spores starting to grow under the cracked caulking. the 3 gentleman came in not even a month later and did a top tier fantastic job 100% recommend and I will say it was only $4k more for them to do it than it was for me to do it myself and it was only a 3 day job for 2 bathrooms!! it would've taken me 2 months each doing it myself I will be recommending all of my friends to genie bath systems!! read more

UPDATE: Genie Bath Systems has been working with us very well during this sequence of events. We are very pleased with how the bathroom looks and is working. Within the first few months we had a bathroom remodel, it leaked through the ceiling downstairs so bad that my wife had to go to the ER because she slipped and landed on her back They had to redo the ceiling. Then, the did the second bathroom (which ALSO leaked through the ceiling). Here it has been nearly a year and beneath the first bathroom remodel (tub); it has started leaking again. My wife and I have lost countless hours from work. This is a total disaster... read more

Set up an appointment with the office to get a bid and design recommendation. They said that they wanted to have the meeting in the evening. So, we canceled date night and changed our plans to accommodate them. Well, they were a NO SHOW and not even a call or text from the company or sales representative. This is the company! They were always keeping me informed on the arrival of the parts. The workers were extremely information and clean. Asked questions and answered my questions immediately. The workers used tarps and drop clothes to keep clean up to a minimum. Each bath/shower remodel to two days. They did not leave me without a shower. I can't believe how amazing our restroom looks now! The new looks completely elevates our restroom and transformed it from drab builder quality to a sleek totally customized look. We have been so afraid to take on remodeling jobs in the house after some upgrades we did took way too long and came in over budget, that was absolutely not the case with Genie Bath Systems. Our experience with Genie Bath Systems was very rewarding. Tyrel, our salesman, was very informative and helpful in our decision-making. Braxton and Mark showed up on time every day and they finished our bathroom in only 3 1/2 days. Water damage, mold and ants were discovered behind our shower wall and we had several additional things we wanted to be completed while our bathroom was being renovated. We now have a safer, up-dated handicapped-accessible bathroom for our beautiful daughter who has physical disabilities. What a great and caring company. After a high-pressure sales pitch presented as an estimate, a "3 days tops" job turned into a month. The materials are good quality and the overall end result is fine now, but it was a circus during the install! First, someone drove a screw through the wall straight into an electrical outlet on the other side! Thank goodness the house didn't burn down when it shorted out inside the wall. After going back and forth with a supervisor "Aaron" who was never even there during the work, saying that it was an existing problem in the electrical system, it finally got fixed. When there's a brand new 3-inch screw going through the box, that is definitely not an existing wiring problem! Apparently they ran out of the screws they were supposed to be using and tried to improvise... Then, 2 floor tiles were cracked during the job and they had to be replaced. Luckily, the same tiles were in stock at the local big box so it was able to be repaired without changing the entire floor, but tack on another day of work. Then, the shower doors were installed upside down and backwards, so another trip had to be made for that to be remedied AFTER they had to order a completely new set of doors! So for 2 weeks we were shimmying into the shower behind a shelf at the back wall of the bathroom. All in all, for the price you pay for this type of shower, I'd expect the workmanship and attention to detail to be much better. The crew was very nice during the process and did eventually own up to and fix the flubs, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd buy a top of the line kit from a big box and have an independent contractor install it for half the cost. I was also encouraged to leave positive reviews in exchange for a gift card, which would explain a lot of the 5 star reviews... read more

Will be getting my remodel done by professional company since this unprofessional company doesn't care about its potential customers time and will be letting all know about this disrespectful company. read more

Genie Bath Systems is not a good company. Stay away from these people. They come into your house and start with the silly small talk instead of giving you a no frills estimate. I don't like salesmen who banter and then try to become your friend and act like their company is the only one worth considering. I strictly made it clear that I was seeking only a bid, since I'm not interested in any of their promotions. The salesman obviously didn't like that idea and became irritated when I didn't play by his rules. Will be looking for other companies that don't banter and do what is asked of them. read more

DO NOTY USE THIS COMPANY! I contacted them over 2 weeks ago to come adjust a shower door that they took off then put back on after repairing a piece of tile they broke. I made repeated calls and sent several emails requesting an update on the repair date - so far nothing! THEIR WARRANTY MEANS NOTHING BECAUSE THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T INTEND TO HONOR IT. read more

Very high pressure sales person and very over priced product. Once they hooked my gullible husband with their lifetime warranty talk (how often does tile fail?) the work was done quickly, but we never heard back from the sales guy on finance questions like what are the terms, interest rate, monthly payment amount, nothing! And with the price they charged ($10k after we talked them down from nearly $15k) we could have gotten an entire bathroom built, not just new shower walls and a bathtub hauled away. We asked for a tile look, and got a solid slab. The material is pretty, but has an obvious fake look. Anyone who thinks this is a great product is ripping themselves off because you could have real granite/marble, whatever, for a lot less!! read more

I have been bugging my husband about redoing the tub/shower in our upstairs bathroom. Our house is 20 years old and the tub looked terrible. I contacted Genie to come and give us an estimate. The remodel was a little more expensive than we thought it would be, but the new shower looks great! The crew finished most of the job in about 2 days. They damaged the wall of the bedroom adjacent to the bathroom (cut right through the drywall!), but they fixed it quickly. I had no problem contacting our salesman, Jerry, and he made sure the problem was addressed in a timely manner. We had to wait a bit for the shower door to be installed because we ordered a finish that was not often ordered. All in all, we are pleased with the new shower and everyone at Genie has been very helpful and professional. Kudos to Bailey- she always returned my calls and was very good about keeping us updated about the process. read more
