The staff was professional from the moment I walked in to the end of the visit. I was promptly greeted with a smile, given easy forms to sign, and seen by Dr. Roshnee Patel within ten minutes. The store is very clean, dust free, and sanitizer is readily available throughout. Dr. Patel was very warm, welcoming and so down to earth. Just from her warm smile greeting, Dr. Patel immediately made me feel comfortable. She took her time with the exam, explaining things as she went. She answered my questions and concerns with care. She eased my mind. She never rushed me through the exam. More importantly, the exam went well and I was confident that I (finally) received an accurate lens prescription. Via lens scan, she confirmed my suspicion that one of the lenses in my existing-old prescription from a different chain wasn't accurate. Her staff helped me select new frames based on what style I liked. Then, I was encouraged to browse on my own without the hovering nor upsell pressure. I found a great pair of frames in a style I hadn't considered before. There are many designer frames here: Versace, Michael Kors, etc. Later, I saw that the frames sold here are current designs and sold very close to retail price. The frames that I chose were just five dollars more than the manufacturer's website. If I could change anything, I would suggest that the thermostat be adjusted as needed. It was an unseasonally warm day, and it was very warm inside the building. Overall, this was my first time ever using Pearl Vision and Dr. Patel and her staff left a great impression. They've restored my faith in physicians and I will make this my permanent place for glasses.

We have had our eye exams here for the past two years…read more The exam itself seems to be okay. The prescription itself seems to be difficult to read. When I bought my new eyeglasses online, they told me the glasses can be adjust from any optometry office. I had mine adjusted at another optometry (will leave review later) but when I asked about it here, they said they don't do it here. It must be done by the same place where you buy your glasses. They fixed my glasses anyway. And now for the prescription... I try ordering another new pair online. It is just a lot more affordable than buying them at the eye clinic, although they seem to have good selections, good styles. I decide I would rather save money and buy it online. It is VERY hard to enter the prescription information onto my new order. This eye doctor does not give you PD (some eyeglasses company will need that) and I cannot seem to match the information given on prescription to the information they're looking for. And I do not think the optometrist wants to help me get the eyeglasses online because of course, he does not recommend buying low-cost eyeglasses online. In order to have his help or adjustment, you have to buy the expensive eyeglasses directly from the clinic. Update: I messaged the office to solve the issue with my prescription. Customer service can take a few days, not really respond within a day or two. BUT the optometrist clarified the issue with my prescription. I get it now.

Impossible!…read more My family and I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Jay when he worked for another eye care group in Algonquin. I told him then that he was the best eye doctor that I'd ever worked with. Why? Because he explains everything he's doing. You know when the optometrist says, "Better 1 or 2? A or B?" In over 40 years I had never had it explained exactly what they were doing. I used to get stressed out about answering "incorrectly"! But Dr. Jay is patient and makes a safe space for you to voice concerns and ask questions. He takes the time to provide options and make recommendations. I have a lot of trust in his opinions. Aside from the doctor, the office is modern with top-of-the-line technology and equipment. The support staff is friendly and patient and there's even complementary coffee and sparkly water. The only issue? Getting into the lot is brutal if you're driving from the east (Randall). There is construction now and the entrances are all catered to traffic coming from the west on Rt. 20. It's a long and winding ride to get to the office, but it is worth it. As per my experience, the cost of exams and other tests are comparable to other eye care places, though I have yet to purchase frames or contacts directly, so we'll see! Stop by soon!
