The reviews were high so I had to try this place while visiting Sweetwater. I stopped in for a hot…read morecocoa and a pastry. I liked the look of the space and I was greeted when entering. I'm not sure if the person at the counter was new or training but he didn't know if they served hot cocoa. Another staff member taught him how to prepare it and ring it up. She asked if I wanted whipped cream but didn't say it was a $1 up charge which is quite steep for a drink that's only $3.50 or so to start. It was just canned whipped cream so that felt very pricey: the cocoa was average. I also ordered a cheese Danish to go and the employee just opened a box and the lid of the Danish cloche and told me to grab one. I feel like they should use a paper to grab it; I don't like the thought of other customers putting their hands in to choose. I also didn't want to touch my own pastry with my bare hands before washing. It didn't really make me want to return to try a sandwich. I understand that new employees need training, if that was the case. But I do think they should be familiar with what basic beverages are available.

The service was super friendly and the drinks are delicious. It's a really cute coffee shop, good sized with plenty of seating. They have coffee options, teas, blended drinks and non coffee drinks. They also have pastries and breakfast options too. I got their hot chocolate and one of their loos leaf teas. Their hot chocolate was absolute delicious. Creamy, richly and velvety. The lady said that they make their mix in house and it's really good. Much better than just some chocolate syrup steamed up with milk. I got their lychee hot tea, which I have never had before and I love it. It's light and slightly fruity and just has great flavors. I was really happy to find this place and lucky it was so close to my hotel. Between their service and their drinks I will definitely be back whenever I am in the area and needing something tasty.

No expectation that you can speak a second language of hipster coffee to successfully order a drink (anyone else want to hurt the people at that other chain store ordering triple shot, non-fat, almond juice, free range, grass fed, no whip choca latte?). Blue Front is a smaller coffee shop but they still have tables and seating that includes all sort of comfy chairs. They have wifi and power and that let me get some work done this morning for a couple of hours. I did try my usual cortado and cheers to the barista who was unfamiliar with the concept and tried hard. It's a small glass - only two shots of espresso with an equivalent amount of steamed (not foamed) milk. What I had this morning was closer to a latte with very little foam. It was still okay and I hope she'll do better next time. [Review 18183 overall - 304 in Tennessee - 1705 of 2022.]

Best. Cupcakes. Ever…read more She doesn't just do cupcakes - she also makes the most awesome custom cakes, and occasionally non-cake desserts, like cobbler, peanut butter pie and chocolate-covered strawberries. All good! I wouldn't buy a special-occasion cake from anyone but Crowder Creations. But my family is totally addicted to the cupcakes. Unlike other cupcake places, these are a bit smaller and not completely buried in icing. Don't get me wrong, I like icing, but I prefer the icing to be in proportion to the cake; most cupcake places emphasize the frosting, so you end up with a hunk of icing with an afterthought of cake underneath. These are just right. There are many, many flavors. Our favorite, so far, is Almond Amaretto. Yummy! I also like the Strawberry Delite. We also had an Elvis cupcake once: banana cake, chocolate frosting, peanut butter filling. I think that was a special deal, but I hope she makes it again. Gotta go - out of cupcakes. ;-)
