Amazing little juice and smoothie bar (also has a few delicious food items) in Blue Ridge, a nice…read morehealthy alternative to several (no doubt also delicious) BBQ joints. It's just a small counter at which you order, but don't let the minimal storefront fool you - the quality is excellent. I had the Ganesha Toast, i.e. toasted organic sourdough with house made whipped feta (yum!), cherry tomatoes, and topped with basil and a lavendar balsamic drizzle. Spouse got the Warrior Wrap, a wheat tortilla housing a cacophany of flavors that marry so well together - lime cilantro quinoa, black beans, roasted sweet potato, jalepenos (yes this wrap has a kick!), mixed greens, and a house made avocado sauce. Forgive my picture of the two on a paper plate (the veggie crisps came with the wrap). Not pictured but equally delish were my "Almond Joyous" smoothie, and "Energy" smoothies. By no means inexpensive but smoothies of this caliber (with such quality base ingredients) rarely are - you get what you pay for. These are worth the price of admission imho. They also have a plethora of juices, more smoothie choices, specials (on the board outside), acai bowls, salads, and some other toasts and wraps. Looks like they have a sister location in nearby Ellijay as well. Their mantra is food is medicine, and there is so much to that philosophy. Highly recommended.

It was good but maybe a bit heavy on the garlic (if there is such a thing). It is rather small for $10. We also got each of the bowls. The yogi bowl had better toppings with granola for added crunch. They both were delicious and was a great start to our day. The service was quick as we got our order much earlier than anticipated.

This used to be called the Ellijay CoffeeHouse House, but is now Mountain Town Coffee at Hemlock Bazaar (hopefully Yelp will accept my edits), and it has a great vibe. There's a back entrance and courtyard which we came through. The decoration is wacky- I don't know how else to describe it. It's old school and nostalgic but strange. On the other side of the wall there's an entire book store that is part of the business. It had one of the most impressive collections I've seen in a bookstore in awhile. It wasn't huge but it had a great variety of genres, and a lot of intriguing titles I hadn't heard of but sought to remember for later. The man working the register was a charm- he told us how Ellijay has their own tv production (which they were playing on an old school tv), a special Bigfoot podcast and more. Lastly, the coffee was, of course, delightful. I had a latte with a little bit of spice in it that was perfect to warm a person up in the cool early spring air when we were there. Had we known this would be such a cool stop I think we would have bargained even more time to just hang and enjoy the atmosphere. I think it could be a good place to sit and do work or read and there's lots of spaces to sit so it's not too loud.
