I was in a printer bind (haven't we all been there?) and needed some documents printed ASAP. FedEx…read morewas there for me and did a good job with what was needed. I brought in a flash drive of documents that were far too big and complex for me to print at home on my tiny, broken printer. The boys behind the counter at FedEx got right to work printing everything out. It was a few hundred pages and the cost was just over $100. Not sure if that's good or not considering the pages were black and white, but they helped me out in a bind and I'm grateful.

My review is dropping from 5 stars to 1 star. For years, I've always hated FedEx - I have a Blink…read morevideo of the delivery guy throwing my package at the door (it was fine) and one time they delivered my package to the SIDEWALK after it was lost for a month. He even took a picture of the package on the SIDEWALK like he was proud of himself. I had another awful experience with FedEx with a scheduled pick-up - I live in an apartment. The scheduled pick-up is some random time between 8-3pm or something like that. The guy never called or anything. I tried again and sat by my window which faces the street area and I saw him do a drive-by - he didn't even slow down. Then I got a notification that the attempt failed. Who is going to stand outside their building from 8-3pm waiting for a FedEx driver who may or may not show up? Who has the time for that? They did the same with my husband a few days ago - this time, the FedEx truck didn't even drive by our building - they drove past OTHER buildings. Since then, I've been going in-person to drop off packages which has worked fine. The worker helped me out with printing a photo (I would recommend Walgreens though) hence my 5 star review. Previously, I had done a package HOLD request since I was going to be out when the package was scheduled to be delivered and there is a package thief at my apartment (I think he was a former delivery person who knew the access code to the package room and he goes through packages. I have SEEN this jerk "pretend" to get packages from the Amazon lockers. He doesn't have a fob which ALL residents have. PLUS, no resident is given the access keypad code). The package hold worked fine - I received a text and I got my package; everything went smoothly like it should. So a week ago, when I saw my package from Canada was arriving, but I was going to be traveling, I wanted to do the package HOLD again. This time, I downloaded the app and did the request on the APP which was the only difference this time, because I wasn't given the option via text like the previous time. I watched the app - it looked like it was being held in South San Francisco. That makes sense? Customs and tariffs and whatever else goes on and South SF is the big hub for packages. 4-5 days later, it's still sitting in South SF according to the APP. I called, and the bot told me it was in Foster City and they have already contacted me THREE times. BS. Total BS. I called FedEx and spoke with a representative (after some colorful language thrown at the bot). The employee told me the same thing as the app - it was still in transit. Did I trust him? No way. I asked him to transfer me to the Foster City office - which he did not do. But he said he spoke with them and they said the package was there. So I went to Foster City. The app was last updated on the 9th of December - so 5 business days would be 15th of December (Sunday is not a busienss day). But when I get there, the package had just been collected by the driver. I probably watched him leave with the package (there was a long wait). So stupid. (Also, someone from the office spoke with FedEx customer service and that means they know someone was inquiring about said package. So any other reasonable business would have the decency to hold the package). The Foster City employee told me to contact FedEx customer service which was extremely frustrating because I couldn't get to a human being this time. I really think cussing at the bot is the fastest way to get to a human, because they bury the "talk with a human" option. That person told me it was hopeless and the sender would have to contact FedEx. So I wasted another 30 minutes and got even MORE aggravated. The Foster City employee should have told me to contact the sender. By then, it was after hours, so I contacted the sender the next day who was much more reasonable. I also send an email requesting they at least offer shipping options, like USPS, UPS, or DHL. So no. I DO NOT recommend FedEx. The workers at this office are OK, but they could have gone the extra mile. They definitely are NOT looking out for customers. It's all business to them. I miss the mom 'n' pop shipping stores where you had real human connection with human beings. There were also multiple employees in the office, but only one was left to see to all the customers and it was just slow. Other businesses would have the employees be more flexible and shift back and forth between doing work and seeing customers, like UPS or Safeway, or Costco, or basically any other business. I don't know how the FedEx notification system works, but who knows, maybe the employees at the Foster City branch didn't press a button or something. And yes, I checked my contact info and everything is correct. And I had just done the same service less than a month ago and everything worked fine then. PS, my app still shows the package as sitting in South SF and not yet delivered to Foster City.

At 11 a.m., I sent them an email with my attached pdf file that needed to be printed. It was ready for pick up by 3 p.m.! (In other words, I didn't have to download it onto any disk or flash drive and drive it to a copy center for copy). In my email, I explained that I needed it on 24lb sheet paper. They were professional, a family run business, fast, and very convenient! They were great! The document cost was only $28.32 for a 327 pgs.! I plan to have my document binded there in the near future!

My only minor issue would be that I asked for a quote for the project and they didn't give it until I sent them the files. I was fine with that, but instead of giving me a quote they instead just told me they had printed the files and I now owed them the price for having it printed on 12X18 100lb gloss paper. I really only wanted this on 11x17 basic paper since it was for a playtest and I was going to be writing all over it and having to print it several times with different changes. Not sure if that made it more expensive printing it on a bigger size and 100lb gloss paper but definitely made it cost prohibitive to keep printing more copies for testing purposes.
