Install went well. Maintenance checks - very unprofessional - techs on personal phone calls while checking generator. We had an error message arise and failed tests - then hurricane Beryl happened - we had to manually start the generator - and they totally ghosted us when calling again about our error message. After waiting 3 months for a callback, we switched to another maintenance company who took care of our error message, with very professional and knowledgable techs. Excellent experience with Generator Industries maintenance group today! They installed my Generac back in 2020 and have been maintaining it since. Today they helped get my upstairs A/C unit back online when the Generac delay unit looked to have faulted out. Isidro quickly identified the issue, which wasn't Generac equipment and advised me on the fix. Very helpful! I was able to quickly get the A/C unit back online. That's service above and beyond! Took our payment of 6K and did not hear from them again until we requested our money back. They accommodated our request.

We purchased a generator 2 years ago from Generator Industries. We have it serviced by them twice per year for $500. Our last service was April 2024 and everything was fine and ready for hurricane season. Hurricane Beryl knocked out power in our area on July 8, 2024, at 4:30a and our generator kicked on as expected. However, 4 hours later it stopped. We immediately called Generator Industries and were told by the answering service that someone would call us back but they were experiencing a high volume of calls. I continued calling throughout the day leaving messages but never received a call back from them. I even reached out via text to the person who schedules and confirms service appointments and she referred me back to the main office number that was being answered by the answering service. We made a significant investment to prepare for the loss of power and have maintained a service contract with this company to ensure our generator was in good operating condition, yet here we are without power or any support or communication from the company. Ironically, when on hold, they state they are "the light in the storm and you won't need to worry about power outages". read more

When the tornado hit our area 6 weeks ago the generator worked just fine. Now with Hurricane Beryl... it doesn't work!! I've been with out electricity ever since. In past week we have made about 12 calls to them to request a repair. Their answering service takes our name & phone number and says someone will call us. No one calls. When you have need of the generator because of the recent snow storms in Houston, and it runs for 30 seconds then stops, they DONT RETURN CALLS. Horrible company. Funny how the smallest installation still costs 7,000 dollars. Seems this owner has raised their rates for installation? Funny how you can buy the generator through Home Depot for a reasonable 5 to 6 thousand, but then this company - a Home Depot contractor - decides that it is going to take 12 to 20 months to do it and on top of that they are going to charge you a base price of 7 grand regardless of the material, time or distance needed. I just can not begin to write about this company. Unprofessional, bully, disrespectful disposition. Last week about March 16th 2022 I called for a regular six month service appointment, and was told they are working on the scheduling and somebody will call me back the week of March 21st. on March 25, 2022 about 5:30pm. I saw their truck parked on my driveway, than a saw the gate was open, I walked over to see what was goin on, and to my shock there was somebody there. I asked him how did he get in and why is he here where their is no appointment scheduled? Also, why did not HE ring the door bell to let me know he is here to service the unit? He opened his cell phone and red it to me; "She changed her phone #, her email is all scrod up, just go". I was very upset and demanded he leaves my property, he sad he is done with the work and he was leaving anyway. I am convinced that this incident was a cover up to skip complete service as required. I am 80 years old and they know it and my safety comes first! Next day, a woman from the office called me and accused me "ABUSING THEIR EMPLOYEES" I pay this company in advance to service the unit twice annually. In September 2021 he came, dusted the unit, and told me it does not need any service, everything looks good, however, he will come in March of 2022 and perform complete service. SERVICE WAS NOT DONE.
