Went to MIKE on thursday to get my muffler taken off and add on dual tips. Did a good job thursday took about 2 hours told me to come back friday to put the tips on. I come back friday and i show him the tips , mind you they are used i never stated they're going to be brand new. He throws a whole attitude at me and starts complaining how they are used and he will have to do extra work (cut off a pipe and put a different one on, doesn't take much time) and that it'll take multiple hours and to come back for the car. I say it is ok and i'll wait, as i am waiting he puts on one side in a matter of 25 minutes ? What happened to 4 hours? I go check it out , and the tip is upside down (bmw M tip and the M was upside down) , i tell him nicely and apologize but that it is supposed to be upside and i thought he knew but still apologized. He then proceeded to give me even more attitude after asking him to basically just do it correctly? Why am i going to pay for a job done wrong? Anways he proceeds to do it correctly and it takes him probably a whole 5-10 minutes (he also had no customers idky he was so angry). Anyways he finished , grabs my key takes my car off the ramp. Closes my car door doesn't say a word and goes back inside. I proceed to look at the work and i go inside and thank him because it looks nice. He proceeds to stare at me blankly without saying a word, and put his hand to gesture to leave the building without saying a WORD! So unprofessional and rude. He would not have acted that way if i was a grown man but i am a young girl so he thought he could treat me that way. sorry you fucked up and had to do 10 mins of extra work that i PAID FOR??? super lazy and so much attitude for no reason. i wouldn't go back to this entitled ass. read more

Mike is the muffler guru. He replaced the pipes and muffler in a morning and got me back on the road.

Went to General Muffler for a new muffler for my new F150. Mike took his time and went over my truck then he gave me a few ideas. Mike ordered my tip I wanted and would call when It came in. When Mike got the tip he called and I went right in. The tip looked great. Black finish. Mike got right to work on the new exhaust, he removed the old one and then started the fitting process. Once the fitting was complete Mike started on the final welding. Mike installed the hooks where I needed them. It was a nice tight fit and seemed very snug at the hooks. Mike did the job great and made sure all welds were complete. The final job was great!! The sound was like a big V8. When idling the sound is cool!! It was like my Lighting truck cool sound for sure. Great look The price was good for what they did. The place has all the right equipment for all of your exhaust needs. Mike is a true professional! I would recommend Mike and General Muffler to everyone that wants a quality job done by a real professional!!! Way to go General Muffler!!! read more

This is the best muffler shop you don't want to miss. Mike is so good at what his works, and honest , patient with me, even for a small adjustment for the tail pipe. He kept spaces between car body and whole pipe, muffler. I been driven my SAAB for 30 years, never heard the muffler sound like this after his service. It is super smooth , no knocking at all. I called ahead of time and spoke with Tom. When I took my Nova SS the next morning, Mike was there waiting to diagnose and repair. So, after 1 1/2 hours, the problem was diagnosed and solved for a reasonable price. He gave me other feedback from what he saw on the pipe hangers. I'll be taking the Nova back for headers soon. I mounted 4 NEW, SAME SIZE tires at SPEEDY TIRES, in Stanton and a week later realized they exchanged my tires. Getting work done here at Mike's feels like home. This place is exceptional!!! I had unfortunately gotten my catalytic converter (CC) stolen and didn't know where to go, but was referred to General Muffler by another mechanic who was closing down his shop. Upon arrival, Tom greeted me with a smile and immediately took care of my vehicle. Unlike any other shop, I was invited to take a look at what exactly was missing on my car (I didn't quite know what a CC was), and given a brief, but thorough explanation as to the function of the CC. For me, being able to see exactly what the problem was, was great and made sense of the situation. Without wasting a minute, Tom started to work on replacing the missing part. In less than an hour, I had a new CC and O2 sensor. Not only were the services provided impeccable, but their prices were unbeatable. Tom gave me an honest and fair price for parts and labor. If I am ever in need of welding, muffler or exhaust service, I know where I'll be going. I'd recommend General Muffler to anyone, and have put their cards up around my workplace.
