They are family owned and for some reason there is 2 Plaza Muddlers in Orange when you google. This place is the original. They used to have a vw mini bus in the front a block from the circle. What I like about this place is the quick and easy I stall and welding of exhaust and or exhaust leaks. You drive up , they put your car or truck in the rack and your in and out just like that. Update: I also have a modifed Nissan Xterra that need a cat. So I bought a cheapie and had Plaza install it. Easy peasy, fast, professional and more than reasonable pricing. Well that was a year ago and the cat has already failed. So I bucked up and got a Nissan one and back to Plaza I go in the morning. I was a victim of the catalytic converter theft. I go waaaaayyyy back with carl. He has worked on over 5-7 of my drift cars for the past 10+ years. He does GREAT work. Never lets me down. Custom or stock. He can make it happen. So for the catalytic converter issue.. i came in with my SUV and it was up on the lift for maybe about 30 mins. So this year, we needed to have our catalytic converter replaced (05 Toyota Corolla) as per the code from the check engine light. We found the part online and I found these guys on Yelp. Called and spoke with Carl, who was very informative and helpful. He quoted the cheapest price around the OC that I could find for the installation, and scheduled an appointment to have it done as soon as the part arrived. They had it installed within a couple of hours and even replaced a gasket that was leaking (after I bought that online as well). Took it to get smogged, passed, all good, and running smooth. Went in because my exhaust was making a metallic rattling noise when decelerating (1500-2000 rpm) they checked it out and found some possible issues. After they adjusted the pipes the rattling is gone! Looks like some additional clearance was needed as the pipes where to close to other parts of the car. Great service would recommend. read more
