    Not covering carpet properly

    Stay away! I brought my rv in with a slide issue. They told me I needed to change out all my hydraulic lines due to a leak that was causing my slide to creep out. After hearing it was going to cost 7000.00 I was very reluctant to do the repair. I told them my hydraulic lines were fine because there was never any hydraulic leaking from anywhere. They assured me this would fix the problem so I went ahead and made the repair. Changing out these hydraulic lines did not fix the problem. I told them the amount they charged me was not acceptable and I was so angry because I just completely wasted $7000. They only agreed to reimburse me 1000. I know they completely scammed me with this repair. As long as this company has been in business they should know how to fix a slide that keeps pulling out. As of today, my problem is still not fixed. I recently hired them to fix a few more issues and once again was charged 200 hourly rate. They over charge by taking their time for the repairs and charge you as if you are being billed as a law office does. All of these repairs should've been done in half the time, but they keep billing to get the price up as high as possible. The other major issue is that they take no pride in their work and it does not reflect a $200 hourly maintenance repair. I'm attaching photos showing a recent repair with my electric step and how they left the wires just hanging in flapping in the elements. You can also see the dirty carpet. They recently kept my RV for three weeks in during that time stained my carpet by walking back-and-forth when they changed out the toilet. I was charged over $800 to change a toilet in the meantime stained my carpet. All they did was put pieces of paper on the carpet Which moved around and allowed their dirty shoes to trample on the carpet and leave stains. If you deal with Mike, you will see how he spins in lies about how they do things and the cost. He comes across more like a used car salesman. When I complained about my dirty carpet, he actually told me they have to charge extra to cover the floor properly . This is Just a lie and another spin on his explanation of things. What company is going to charge you extra to keep your floor clean while they're working inside of your RV? What a joke! This place will gouge you and charge you for repairs that they are only guessing how to fix. These people are far from honest and I would stay away. Hopefully we can all come together and help put this company out of business. We need to stop places like this from taking advantage of honest people. I see you responded to my review and once again you are spinning the truth. 1 if you were correct with the hydraulic leak fixing my slide it would be working properly right now. You charge me $7000 to fix hydraulic lines that were absolutely not leaking. Otherwise I would see hydraulic fluid all over the ground. Now I'm out that money and still have a broken slide. Shame on you because you're nothing but a bunch of amateurs that are just guessing on how to fix something. 2 in regards to the step repair I had to bring it back in to have the wires insulated properly with a plastic sheeting. This is the type of repair that should've been done from the beginning when you're charging $200 an hour for shop rates. You are lying about me taking advantage of leaving my RV there for three weeks and getting free storage. Do you actually think I wanna be without my RV and leave it at your shop so you can trample on my carpet and not even offer to clean it properly . The RV was there for three weeks which originally I was told no longer than a week. We were not waiting for a water pump you moron we were waiting for the correct toilet since Mike ordered the wrong one. That water pump was there within four days And you still charge me over two hours to install it. Either you guys or amateurs or you're taking advantage and taking your sweet time to charge me the max amount of labor. 3 I asked Mike about replacing my camera and he said absolutely because he had all the contacts since he's been in this business for so long. Well guess what I paid over $150 for you to remove my camera and put the same old, broken one back in. You guys are an absolute joke! 4 this last visit I had cost me $2300 of which $600 was for Parts. You can see the amount you charge me for labor is astronomical and you absolutely are not worth it. I know on that hydraulic repair that 90% of that $6000 was for labor of which you did not fix my original problem. I should've taken you to court and show the judge of what crooks you really are. I was an aircraft mechanic for 15 years and I know how maintenance is done. You absolutely lied to your teeth about the hydraulic system leaking because that was not the issue. Otherwise the slide would be fixed you moron.

    I didn't just jump to writing this bad review. I talked to El Toro and explained the situation several times. They tried to say that there is no way that my issue could have been caused by them. That's just false and it tells me something about the way they think about customer service. Just look at the picture. They finally asked me to send an email with a picture. I did weeks back. Crickets. I called one more time and still nothing. I understand that mistakes happen. It was the lack of customer care that I object to. This review closes out the books on doing business with El Toro. 1) I went in to have the fresh water tank fill replaced. It was leaking. They did it and charged me about $300. I'm not sure if that is the right price. It sounded like it was in the ball park. But then they told me that the reason the fresh water fill broke is because the fresh water tank was moving. To secure it they would have to put a piece of wood on the floor board to keep the tank from moving. That was going to cost me another $300. I didn't let them do that. I went right over to Home depot and it cost me around $3 dollar and 3 minutes. Then they wanted to charge me $100 to replace the propane hose. I did it myself for $15 and no minutes. 2) A few weeks later my plumbing stopped working off of the fresh water tank. I replaced the water pump. The water still didn't work. So I called a mechanic. After the previous gouging attempts, I wasn't going to take it back to El Toro. Especially because I had no idea that it was going to be their fault. After almost $400 of labor and a few days. The mechanic narrowed the problem down to a clog in the line caused by the silicone that El Toro used to seal the fresh water fill. I didn't even expect them to reimburse me for the cost. I thought a plausible solution would be a credit for service. But after this lack customer care, I don't want them anywhere near my rig. "Fri, Nov 15 at 9:12 AM Message Body El Toro Rv Service, The water stopped working in the RV. I replaced the water pump. That didn't fix the problem. So I called a mechanic. To come have a look. After several hours, he found that the fresh water tank hose leading to the pump, was clogged with white silicone. After the clog was removed. the water worked perfectly in the RV. You can see from the picture of the fresh water intake that the silicone came from the replacement that was done by El Toro rv service recently. I have no way to make you compensate me for the work done by the other mechanic and I don't want take you to small claims court. So, I am relying on your management's sense of fairness and character to come up with a way to make it right. All the best,"

    I hate leaving negative reviews as a business owner it makes my stomach crawl but after months of trying to get them to do the right thing I am left to share my terrible and expensive experience. This business has left damage to our coach which they denied causing as well as mechanical issues with our slide that we did not have prior to their work. We had set up to have the work done in October 2023 with pre-approval from our manufacturer given to them to have all the materials ready for them at this time. Not only did they fail to do the work while they had it they also did not even order the materials. We came to pick it up after two weeks to find out they had not done anything, even after they had agreed to try to get it done during this time since we are full-timers. To say we were disappointed is a massive understatement! Since they are the only approved repair facility on the West Coast our manufacturer-approved for warranty work we had to go back to them for the repair in May 2024. Upon returning and opening our slide we had deep gouges on our floor, a loud grinding noise from our slide, the slide not retracting properly, the slide riding on the floor in transit, and now more gouges on our floor. After talking to and taking multiple measurements the manufacturer of the slide mechanism informed us that the repair shop had most likely caused a misalignment in the slide system which resulted in all of our problems post their repair. We are especially concerned about their lack of accountability for the damage they caused. They specifically told us our slide would have to be removed to make the repair so we emptied everything but clothes before we took it in both times to later be told they did not remove the slide. This begs the question why did they tell us that twice and our manufacturer told us that was standard procedure too? Now that we have both physical and mechanical damage they are claiming they did not remove the slide but they clearly moved, jacked it up, or did something to cause the proceeding issues we now have post their work. They have only agreed to pay half of fixing our floor. Nothing to realign our slide and mechanisms which is clearly the biggest issue. Our slide does not even suck in all the way at the bottom anymore. My recommendation is to video and get everything they intend to do in writing if you have to take your RV here. Best of luck because this has been the worst situation I've ever experienced from car, motorcycle, home, or RV repair. Please excuse the tape we were trying to keep the torn floor from getting caught on the dragging slide. I wish Google had negative stars -

Lawrence Rhee General Manager, approached me and said it is relatively minor damage and that he could fix it right there. He gently pushed against the fender until the crease went away and pulled the bumper edge outward until it lined up flush against the fender. He did some other work quickly and finished after I came back from lunch. I couldn't believe my eyes! I got three other quotes up to $2600 requiring to replace the bumper and paint the fender to match! The car is over 5 years old but the entire body is in great shape. I wasn't looking for a perfect repair. Lawrence at the start asked if I wanted a perfect restoration or something reasonable. I definitely wanted something reasonable because I didn't want to go through my insurance company for an aging car. After he finished the repair, you can't even notice any damage. I wish more body shops were more honest like Signature Auto body. Last thing, I plan to come back with my other car that needs more extensive work but at least I know I'm dealing with someone who I can trust! :)
