Had Handy plumbing take care of an initial job. I thought the tech that did the assessment would do the job since he seemed to know what he was doing, Instead, he sent a relative. The tech kept having to contact other techs since he didnt seem to know how to address the issue and admitted he just started. Eventually he finished the job but took forever. I had another issue come up recently and Handy Plumbing sent that same tech. Again, he was having issues, and a simple job that should have finished that morning took the whole day. I requested some follow-up work to be done via text and phone and I've been ghosted for the past month. Needless to say I won't be renewing my contract nor using them again. Totally unacceptable.

If he swapped the heater out before the staining underneath got dealt with, I'd just be paying to have the same job done twice. He'd rather I handle that part first and bring him back after -- which meant less money for him today. He was also straight about which pieces weren't his trade instead of pretending he could cover everything. I'm new at all of this and completely clueless. I'm not handy, I ask a hundred questions, and I know how easy I'd be to take advantage of. Ivan was patient with every single one of them and sat there thinking through options with me that would've made him nothing. It's hard to find someone this genuine and this patient these days, and harder still in the trades. Someone who'll actively talk you out of spending money with him is rarer than that.
