I have used GLS since before they were GLS (they used to called GSO, Golden State Overnight). They used to be a low cost option for overnight delivery and had convenient dropbox locations with later pick up times (some locations had 7-8pm pickup times). Since about a year or 2 ago, that all changed. 2 dropboxes around my area were removed and the pick up times are all 5pm now. The cost went up by a bit, but not enough for me to switch to UPS or Fedex. I stuck with GLS because I'm a small business owner trying to keep shipping costs down and don't have that many overnight shipping. Lately, though, using GLS has been a nightmare. Their contracted courier is supposed to pick up daily at every dropbox but they do not. They often don't visit the dropbox near my office until 2 or 3 days later, which defeats the purpose of overnight shipping. I would have to contact customer service each time to "open an inquiry" and even then, I don't get an answer until 2 days later. This has happened 4 out of the last 5 times I've shipped with GLS. I'm surprised they are still in business considering Fedex now has flat rate shipping that is very competitive in pricing. As I type this, I have 2 missing packages that I personally dropped off 2 days ago and GLS still cannot give me an answer. read more

Waited all day off work to get this package and it was "bad address" so I asked to pick it up at the warehouse instead. Went there and they magically lost it and now I need to file a claim. If you need something shipped make sure it isn't being delivered from them or their third party delivery. They hit a parked car and won't hand over their insurance. They're claiming that there's no way that the driver could hit the parked car on the street. Even though the driver of the parked car was at the front door when she hear the collision. She turned around and there was damaged to her side of her fender and bumper which weren't there a second ago. We even have her on video coming to park in her spot across from the house with no damage. Yet, that isn't evidence. Both companies GLS and the third-party company will not hand over his insurance. If he didn't do it then let the insurance company handle it. Something tells me that they get away with a lot of things here. So if anything get out of the way when they come driving by. Too bad none of the neighbors have their video cameras pointed in that exact spot she parks otherwise this would be a different story. Sucks that a newly college graduate has to pay $1,000 out-of-pocket for something that she didn't do. Now I see why people go without insurance policies even though it's illegal. They don't do anything but rob us even if it's not our fault. Dishonest people out there suck. Even if he felt like he didn't do it there is still damage. The only person driving right by it was GLS when she turned around she saw him driving off with loud music playing. Hmm! he definitely could hear. That's why let the insurance do the investigation not normal people that don't handle things like this. They were trying to claim that she hit a wall. Even the traffic cop said there is no way that damage is done from a wall. This is just sad. So be careful with these delivery companies especially if they're third-party which sounds like all their drivers are. Just look at all the bad reviews they have for shipping. There's so much more to this story but I've already wasted my time with them and getting nowhere. My daughter will just have to eat the cost. Now I know get more cameras on my house for situations like this. How do you have a manager come to the house and not bring the drivers insurance papers? That right there tells me you were never going to do anything you just wanted to shut me up and act like you were there to make things right. At approximately 8:45 PM on February 1, 2026, your employee drove a delivery vehicle onto my property. The posted height clearance is 7 feet 4 inches, and the vehicle exceeded this limit. A height-clearance bar is installed due to prior incidents in which oversized vehicles caused structural damage to the property. I photographed the vehicle's license plate (14528Y3). After delivering a package to ----------------------------------------, ----------------, the driver reentered the vehicle and made a U-turn within the property. He then stopped next to me and asked what the issue was. I informed him that vehicles of that height are not permitted due to prior damage. He stated that he had not struck the building. When the driver saw me holding my phone, he said he would take a picture of me. At that point, I began recording; however, the camera was directed at the ground, not at him. As he exited the property, he continued yelling that he had not hit the building and made a right turn out of the driveway. I then began recording the rear of the vehicle as it approached the exit because I was concerned it might strike the structure. At no time did I record or photograph the driver directly--only the license plate and the rear of the vehicle. The driver then reversed back into curb and began taking photographs of me while I was approximately 200 feet inside the property. I am the owner of the property and have repeatedly experienced issues with U-Haul and other oversized vehicles damaging the building. I had recorded the rear of his vehicle, if he were to damage my propert I would like for you to review your dash camera of his behavior, because he may commit road rage incident down the road. I will be filing a police report against him, as I am afraid that he will return to retaliate against me. I will be sending this report to Amazon as well, because if something does happen to me, I want Amazon to be aware of their drivier's conduct and of the popensity of their road-rage. read more

I watched a GLS delivery driver steal an Amazon package off my front porch in broad daylight. As I was in a meeting working from home, I just assumed it was misdelivery and watched him walk away as he had a bright blue GLS vest on. I later realized Amazon dropped something off and took a photo of it on my porch- the exact box that was in this delivery drivers hands. I called customer service and spoke to a dispatcher. i gave his description and she said "yea that sounds like him. oh and it shows that he was dropping a box off a few houses down from your address at that exact time window". boom caught right? Nope- GLS won't do anything since I don't have video footage of it. why do business with them? they employ thieves and management couldn't care less. read more

My first GLS delivery was pretty great. Tracking updates on their website were accurate. The driver followed the instructions posted on our access gate and brought my package to the front door. More impressive was that he then actually placed it inside the delivery box. Excellent! Sadly it went downhill from there. Tracking is now hit or miss. Drivers don't even bother trying to do a decent job. They either leave packages by the fence where they can be easily stolen or throw them across our lawn. I've reported these mishandlings to GLS . I've been told that it was going to be escalated, investigated or addressed and that someone would follow up. I'm still waiting. Horrible delivery service. read more

Called there customer service department which told me there running a little behind and I was scheduled for 5:30 waited until 6:30 called back was told she would get in contact with the driver. Took my phone number and said someone will call me back need I say it's now 9:30 pm no one called and no updates on the tracker also. I called and requested a re-delivery, I was told by their customer service dept that I'd have to go online to request a different day re-delivery. I can sit and watch all the deliveries truck coming to my apartment complex and everyone walking to my apt. Their website listed a day and time of an attempted delivery. I disagree with that as I was home then. I do not believe they came and knocked or rang. They certainly did not leave a notice about their 'attempted delivery,' as other carriers do. I get as many packages as anyone, and I know good delivery service from bad. This company is by far the worst shipping company i have dealt with. The company i ordered from used GLS to ship my item and driver and/or warehouse people are incompetent and do not communicate with each other. My delivery was scheduled for 3/25 initially, i was out of town (delivery required a signature) and missed the delivery. They called me to let me know they tried to deliver and there was no answer. I called on 3/26 to reschedule for 3/31 between 4pm - 8pm and figured that's when they would try again. I was wrong, they allegedly tried to deliver again on 3/26, 3/27, 3/28 and 3/31. I say allegedly because my camera shows no activity at the times they claim to have attempted to deliver, except for the first day, 3/25. For any alleged attempted deliver after 3/25 there was no camera activity and no one pressed the doorbell. So my conclusions are either the next driver or drivers went to the wrong house, did not get out of the delivery vehicle to see if anyone was actually home or they were going to keep the package for themselves. Customer service was no help, the male operator spoke with over the phone was overseas per his own admission and did not help at all. He said the package was in process to be returned to sender but they would cancel it so i could pick it up from their depot - i was supposed to receive an email the next morning confirming this - nothing. I recalled GLS to see what was going on, they said the package was sent back to the sender. My recommendation is to avoid this company by any means necessary. read more

WORST COMPANY EVER!!! The drivers that deliver in my area are THEIVES! This is by far worst shipping company every. One of the companies that I work with uses GLS and three out of four shipments were marked as delivered where the driver even forges a signature but doesn't actually deliver the package. This always happens on a the weekend - my company isn't open on weekends so how can it have been delivered!!! The last time this happened I think the driver got wind that he was under investigation for theft and suddenly the package was delivered. DO NOT USE GLS! 1. Drivers steal packages and mark them delivered with a forged signature 2. The company representatives when you try to get help continually hang up on you. If you see a GLS shipping # from wherever you shopped online at, congrats, you're f***ed! TLDR: Waiting on a package for almost a week, but keep getting "missed deliveries" (I WFH). Driver is given my contact info twice + my door code, ignores them, now my order is being returned to the sender I work from home...IM HOME EVERY DAY! :) After 2 days of "uNaBlE to cOnTaCt RecIpiEnT" statuses, I finally called them to confirm the next shipping time so I can be extra-sure I was home. As per usual. They scheduled a late-afternoon next day delivery, took my info, and assured me they'll pass it to the driver directly so they could contact me when they were in the area. That didn't happen. I called again the next day, annoyed my order was marked "Return to Sender". They apologized for the inconvenience & scheduled another delivery for today. They seem to conspire Together. just watched someone delivering a package In Uintah Utah on 11/15/2024 throw the package at the front door it fell back down the stairs then they threw it again. They also drove into the cul-de-sac going around 50 mph. Then, after reading all the negative reviews I pretty much just assumed the mirrors would arrive damaged ...if they arrived at all. However, to my surprise they made it unscathed. In two days. The absolute worst shipping company known to man, I've literally never had problems with a shipping company until GLS came around. My first go around with them was with a package they "attempted" to deliver...which was a complete lie because I have street facing cameras and there was absolutely no attempt(this happened twice). They eventually lost the package. Now I'm dealing with GLS again unfortunately with an IPhone delivery and it looks like they're already rescheduling. I waited all day at home on the scheduled delivery day to ensure no one steals the package only to see they postponed the delivery. I sure hope this company goes out of business for everyone's sake. Early this morning around 9 AM on my way to work I was at the intersection of Van Ness Boulevard and imperial Highway. When the light turned green, there was a GLS truck in the left-hand turn lane that was headed northbound. When the light changed, the driver sped up and jumped in front of the traffic so that he could get in front of everyone else almost causing an accident. When I called GLS to report this information, the woman who answered the phone, who was possibly Filipino, was trying to rush me off the phone, she had not written down any information, and basically just lied when I ask her if she had all the information and if it was going to be reported. I did ask to speak to a manager, and she refused to put one on. When I continue to press her, the phone disconnected. When I called back, she picked up the phone, and hung it up again. I don't know who runs this company, but you ought to be extremely ashamed of yourself. I have never seen such a lack of care for the public allowing reckless drivers to operate your vehicles. But then to also have such an unprofessional customer service representative answering your phones. You all are horrible! The driver looked to be male, Latino, thin face, with a beanie on. Sometime at our job, the package fall to the floor sometime there are 25 - 30 boxes on the floor,which becomes very unsafe, and we are told to keep working? I am a packager, Sonny the supervisor was scanning the boxes and as he was scanning boxes were fall to the floor. General Logistics Systems is a worthless delivery company they lie to businesses on their site, saying they deliver within 48 hours. GLS delivered one package to the wrong address. The replacement order was sent back to the company without delivery, and now the third delivery is still in limbo. GLS said they would deliver today, starting before 3 pm and going all the way to 8pm when they did not deliver. Please don't use this delivery system for your company; they will cost you customers and a lot of money replacing packages because of their stupidity.
