Horrible!!!! Only go to Gene messer body shop if you have 6 months to have your vehicle NOT fixed and ultimately have to go else to get done as they are TOTALLY incompetent! Logan Lopez will LIE to you and give you every excuse why it is taking so long. He will tell you that obvious shoddy workmanship is acceptable because they used Genuine parts. They "closed" the Shop due to and to avoid the large number of complaints. I am amazed they opened back up, I would walk or ride a bike before I would go back to the Gene Messer Body Shop!!!!! read more

They had my vehicle for nine days to fix a window that wouldn't roll up and a broken cover over a brake light. During that time, I had to continually call to check on the status since they wouldn't proactively notify me as to what was going on. As one example, they told me that it should be fixed by the next day. By the end of the next day, I hadn't heard from them, so I called in. I talked to the person handling the repairs, and they said they would check on the status and call me right back. The call never came. I called back the next day and was told that it would be another couple of days due to a truck not coming with the needed part. That's understandable, but the lack of communication isn't. Another time, I was told that one of the repairs was done and they were working on the other one. Later, I was told that neither of them was started yet but would be started soon after they located the part. This made me believe that they were being less than honest or were simply incompetent, neither of which is desirable. I've had good service and good results here before. Perhaps they are having difficulty finding good help, which seems to be happening at a lot of places. I'll try them again if I have a need, but this experience wasn't great. read more

Wreck repair took a month. Good job on my 2018 Kia Soul Plus except the responsible party's insurance company (State Farm) did not rent me a vehicle, saving themselves a lot of money, but inconveniencing me severely. read more

Front end damage and hail! Had car in shop for a month. Wanted to keep car an extra couple of days because one of the fenders wasn't done right! Great. Wanted it done right! Picked up and was told grill was back ordered! Great I can pick it up without it on. Walked out to look over! I asked the guy should the hood be that far out of align! He said you usually can't get straight again! Thought she be better than that. Looked at front of car. This is one piece across the front! Totally different colors. Will we fix that when we get grill in. Came back and told them my front sensors did not work! the grill has to be fixed first. Sure. Took car to get oil changed at a different ford house. They came back within 5 minutes and asked me who I had let work on my car. Another Ford dealer! Then he showed me this shroud thing that were supposed to hav 10 or 12 bolts in it. It had fell down blah blah could've been bad. I had to my 8! I called Gene Messer and was told he will call you back! De won't. Never does. I waited a week. Then went up there. They just got grille in that day and were just about to call me! Okay. That was on a Wednesday. They would tell me when to pick up. Take 5 days! Been 12! I'm so over this! i can't deal with them anymore!! read more

After our second fender bender (neither our fault) this year, we were wary about taking our car anywhere for repair. This body shop was FANTASTIC compared to our previous experience. Setting up an appointment was simple. They waited to take our car in until parts were in hand. I received EMAIL UPDATES!!! We never had to follow up because they kept us fully in the loop of the repair! The staff was nice and professional. Every question was answered completely and without making me feel dumb for asking. I am writing as my vehicle is still in the shop. At this point, I am hoping the experience turns around. So far my experience has been absolutely nothing like the only other review I read here. No email updates, no phone updates, no communication what so ever except when initiated by me. It took somewhere between 3-7 days to get the vehicle on the alignment machine just to determine what comes next. Then parts ordering. When I called my insurance company, they gave me 3 suggestions for repair shops. I noticed that they were all independents; not dealers. I elected to go to the dealer because I had a feeling that this accident may have resulted in more than just cosmetic damage. I thought the dealer would be better at the drive train issues and also HAVE THE PARTS IN STOCK. Evidently that last part is not true. Verdict is still out on the first part. Called yesterday to get an update and received an answer stating that we had about 8 more days to go. The original estimate was for 8 days! There seems to be no will, sense of time, or care at this point. But like I mentioned before, I am holding out hope. Keith R read more
