By the time it was our turn, I had zero doubts we were in great hands. We brought in a gold-on-cowhide Garuda from Thailand and had a vision: two panes of glass with a sleek, minimal frame. Leslie was meticulous, explaining every step, recommending plexiglass over glass, and even hunting down a hard-to-find frame to complete the look. When my husband spotted a small area that needed repair, she reassured us that Omer, the conservator, would handle it with care. Fast forward 1.5 months--Garuda is back, beautifully repaired, mounted, and framed to perfection. They went above and beyond, and we couldn't be happier. The store times are quite limited and given they are the only store in the DMV linked to the swim clubs, getting here involved me taking time off from work during a weekday!

She immediately looked at me like I had no clue what I was talking about and her facial expressions and huffs were enough to clearly make me get it that she was the superior swim-jammer knower. After a painful back and forth to determine the proper size (the jammers I bought were a different brand than the team ones and therefore run different size-wise) I was able to get what I needed. I started laughing mid conversation with her as I felt there was no possible way someone could be that unkind to the first customer of the day (it was 10:05am where I arrived, they open at 10:00am). I ever had the courage to ask about a team backpack which pushed another button with her it seemed. She commented that I must have missed the team store shop time or be new, which I calmly replied to as, "yeah, we just moved here from out of state and are newer to the sport. My son is elementary school age, I'm learning." Not one positive emotions in return. Needless to say, unless it is absolutely necessary to buy an item from here in the future, I will NOT be returning.

Recently we had a service guy out regarding our washing machine. As I told the lady when I called to make the appointment, since day one we have done *all* the things we're supposed to for a front load washer - monthly cleaning with Affresh and wiping down the door, seal, detergent tray etc. We even opened up the machine to clean the drain pump. Yet it still smells. She said she'll send a service guy out to look at it and fix it. To start with the guy shows up and parks the truck half in and half out of our driveway despite there being a spot RIGHT there in front of the house. It would have taken him literally an extra 10 steps to do the right thing. As I answer the door I see the mail carrier pulling up and having to get out of the truck to deliver the mail. I went out to greet him and get the mail, apologizing on behalf of the Sterling Appliance knucklehead's parking. The service guy just stands there and says nothing to either the mail carrier or me. Lazy and thoughtless. Then he goes in the laundry room and after a very quick look at it, proceeds to tell me that this machine has clearly been cleaned well and they can't guarantee smells will be gone or won't return, only that he can charge me north of $800 to replace several parts today to see if that will help. I ask instead about replacing the drain pipe since that is the one thing we hadn't tried yet. He tells me he can't do that today because it would (suddenly) take a second person to pull the machine away from the wall to access the back of it. (Never mind we did that with one person to check the drain pump.) So, I'd need to pay for today, re-schedule and pay for labor for two people to come back out and that alone would run around $400 plus parts. Instead, I paid their service call fee and will not use them again because of this lazy, lazy guy. What a waste of time and money. Sterling Appliance, certainly you can hire better employees than this ridiculously lazy clown!
