They put me on heart monitor for only 4 days and told me I can just go on weight loss shot.. urgent care was also very disrespectful they actually asked me like five times if I was pregnant I kept saying no. They also wouldn't take my insurance even though my insurance called them two times and they messed up my billing by putting all my appointments as emergency room visits.. I chose a new primary dr with st alphonsus and with in just two weeks They diagnosed me with pcos and pots. NOTE TO SELF it isnt always about weight and if I hadn't gone to new dr idk where I'd be right now especially with my heart issues... if you have pcos or pots I wouldn't go to them they said them selfs to me they don't know how to treat it. On a side note my husband step dad went there for while trying to figure out why his health was declining so fast. They ran test couldn't figure it out and lied said he died to alzheimer's... which isn't what happened his family will never know why or what happened all because the dr wouldn't listen but to lie on paper about that..

We saw Dr. Roy - and since strep was negative and due to other symptoms, it was said he has Mono. The doctor wrote a note for my son to miss two weeks of school, but when my son asked if he could still go to basketball if he felt up to it - the doctor told him yes! Go support his team! What?! That is crazy to me - especially since he wrote the opposite on the chart notes. My son continued to get worse - typical Mono symptoms. I called in Friday morning to see if the doctor may be able to prescribe steroids (this can help with extremely sore and swollen throat) and was told I would get a call from the doctor. At 1:30pm I called back fearing that the pharmacy would close and he would have to suffer the weekend. The lady on the phone at 1:30 asked a few more questions and stated that the doctor may be able to get him the steroids, or a mouth rinse that could help the symptoms, and that the primary physician on staff would be calling me soon. I waited all day - no call. Now I'm back at a different Urgent care in Star - and when I called Valor this morning - the lady said the doctor never planned to call- that I would have needed to bring my son back in yesterday. I would have done that if the person I spoke with told me that!! They do not have the patients best interest, cannot give accurate information, and should not be in business if they cannot give patients the correct information. Drive over the hill to get better care.

"Two words. Don't fall."…read more That was the doctor's response during a medical gathering to an audience member who asked for his advice on the most important thing to do for a healthy life into senior years. But fall I did last week and it was a doozy on a hard tile floor. Jaw, neck, knee, foot all needed attention but I dawdled 24 hours hoping things would look better the next day. Alas, they were worse and to avoid ER waits...waits...waits...waits...you know what I'm talking about, I went into urgent care. As medical appointments go for the purpose at hand this could not have been a better one. I was pretty certain nothing was broken but I wasn't sure why my strategy of ice, elevation, nsaids had not created a better outcome but a worse one 24 hours post event and now not being able to stand on the damaged leg and with ample bruising on face and neck I guess I was looking for diagnosis and direction. I have had since college a CNS disease in which falls can be part of the evolution and having had two prior in different decades that did result in fractures, I knew this was different for the damage done. Check in was quick and easy, the nurse who saw me first was professional and kind, the PA who saw me second was thorough, professional and kind. The imaging he ordered of XRays for knee and foot and CT for facial bones could be done on site and the techs who did it were professional. Radiology results were returned in short order and more discussion with PA about diagnosis and path forward . All good. I hope you will never have a need for urgent care but if you do, based on my experience this is a good choice.

Hands down, this is the best urgent care I have been to in the Treasure Valley…read more What a relief to have a place so close to home with high quality care and compassionate, professional staff. Other urgent cares I have been to have been lacking in several areas and ended up being a total waste of time and money. I was pleasantly surprised to show up on a Sunday morning to an empty waiting room and was promptly seen! Not once did I feel rushed during my time with staff, who were thorough and informative. Shoutout to my down to earth and thorough Provider and caring medical assistant! All of my concerns were succinctly addressed and resolved- rather than dismissed or glossed over, which is so frustrating! The provider was accessible and friendly and Kate was very sweet. They are a great model for health-care staff in general; the way they treat all patients equally and with compassion as well as their willingness to address all concerns would be roundly welcomed at all hospitals, docs offices, and urgent cares. They even sent me home with supplies and a prescription available right next door at Walgreens. Super convenient setup. A tip: turn into the Walgreens parking lot to get here as that is the only way in.
